ODerek1976Great showI’m someone who’s read the books but forgotten a lot since I’ve only read them once many years ago. This group of podcasters keep it fun and informative and balance spoilers and WOT news for non-reader fans.
-
RobTheDesignerOk (I guess)If I was stuck in a car with a surly Uber driver already listening to a podcast, this is the one I’d mark them down the least for making me listen to.

LAHWOTA Feel Good WOT PodcastJust recently discovered this podcast during the drought of all things WOT before the second season. Lucky for me, Joe, Jen, and Tom are a fun crew covering WOT news and deep dives in a down to earth, not taking themselves too seriously kind of way. Just lovely. I have even gone back to their episodes speculating about the first season and they have kept me entertained. Unlike that unhinged one star rating that doesn’t even reference the podcast itself, I gave them the five stars they absolutely deserve. Please do everyone a favor and do the same.

JasonXavier99Great news sourceLove this podcast! Great fun. Great insights. News, news, and more news. Highly recommended for people who have read the whole series.

TexasLuLuMost fun WoT News podcastBest friends Joe, Jen, and Tom explore and speculate on the latest WoT tv show news every week with lots of good natured ribbing and hilarity peppered in. No news? No problem! There’s always WoT’s Happening and #HenNews and character deep dives or perhaps a game or two to fill the slow news days. I love hanging out with this news crew because their genuine joy and friendship makes me happy and brings me into their circle like a warm hug. On the pod they are exactly who they are in real life, warm, fun, intelligent, and kind people who love the Wheel of Time and its community.

HAno.Like hanging with friendsI first stumbled upon Talk’aran’rhiod when Joe was a guest on WOT Spoilers. I was not in the market for another WOT Podcast but as soon as he opened his mouth I thought “this man is a fellow New Yorker, I must check his show out” - and I’m so glad I did. Joe, Jen, and Tom are clearly such good friends and so comfortable around each other that it feels like you’re in the room (or on the Zoom) with them as they chat - and that they want you to be there (and you don’t have to be a New Yorker to get that feeling!). This show is great for any type of WOT fan, whether you’ve read the series 700 times or are just learning about it from the show. They discuss all sorts of topics at all levels of depth with and without spoilers: sometimes it’s purely a show news discussion day, sometimes it’s a focus on one character, sometimes it’s a full breakdown of how things are measured (a must-listen episode). Listening to the gang, you’ll never run out of laughs, news about hens, or tangents about which base someone should or should not be coaching - in addition to all the amazing Wheel of Time stuff. 11/10 would recommend!

Mr. CuratorBestLong time listener, from episode 1 to the most recent. This trio of hosts has it all. It's a fantastic show that works because of their personalities which we have all grown to love. We all know why the show is SO GOOD...their format has been Perfected. Some of my favorite parts of the show are the bit of candor before they officially kick off the episode, and times when they go completely off the rails before swinging it back on topic. I look forward to every episode because I know I'll be entertained and informed of the latest WOT happenings like production, castings, and stuff the actors and actresses on the show have been up to. All three hosts have an expansive knowledge base of the series that I can't even begin to comprehend, and I've read the series twice. The main topic discussed is always fun and informative because of their knowledge. The addition of Brendan as a guest host has been a breath of fresh air from the non book reader perspective, as well as hearing from their significant others Sarah, Dan and Michelle on other episodes. We are dealing with real people with families and tons of obligations!!! Yet they find the time to produce one of the best shows in the Fandom! Book reader or not, the show draws you in because there's something for everyone. Anyone who has been listening since the beginning can appreciate all the hard work they have done as the show has had to change during pandemic, and times where there has been no news at all. Then there is their Discord. Simply put, it's incredible. I'm not on their as often as I like, but when I pop in, its amazing to see the conversation continue there and I find myself laughing at everything I read from the awesome group. Confession time. I've known these guys for a long time outside of the show. Tom and Joe were the reason I started reading the series. I just wish I listened to them earlier and started reading the series sooner. Hearing my friends voices warms my heart in another way as we don't see each other in person often and hearing from other guest hosts I know, puts me in a happy place. I love you guys and every new episode makes me feel like we are all still together as if 20 plus years haven't passed. Looking forward to many more episodes, Hearing much more of Jen's incredible singing skills and seeing the show evolve. Julius aka Faileaintsobad.

Leopards Are CoolAll I need for my WoT news!I love these three and they are my go to for all news related to the WoT show. Great segments, good breakdowns and my weekly digest of all the wheel of time news coming out! If you just have been looking for content since the show came out, take a dive into their back long for some amazing Covid hiatus deep dives (weights and measurements an all time classic!) #HenNews

horgarGreat TeamThis is the ultimate show to go to for the WOT TV show. Not only are they well-versed in the subject matter, but they are also entertaining. The top two things are their almost complete lack of political takes which is great since that is not why I’m here. The other is their willingness to actually criticize the show fairly but harshly if necessary. I’m sick of bought and paid for rubber stamps running these shows and providing no opinions that might say “hey, this part here might be a problem later.” They get bumped to the top of the order every time a new show comes out.

Trinity777Great podcast that is always got a surpriseWith so many podcast out here about the Wheel of Time, this one stands out in my top 3. While other shows have a set format this pod cast changes things up on the regular. We could be talking about an episode that was aired one week, then do a deep dive into something specific about the books, and the next week talk with people who have never read the books to see what they like about the show. I can always count on being surprised either by some outlandish theory said a joke, or by some insightful thing I never considered. I have bee reading the books since Wintersheart was published, was part of a podcast myself at one point, and love the #twitteroftime community on Twitter. This podcast fits perfectly for me, and I look forward to each new episode.

Luke WarmhandsBeer, Brooklyn & BombastStarted listening around the time Amazon dropped the final trailer ahead of season 1. The title got my attention, and the hunch I felt at that time has since been rewarded again and again: These are folks who are dedicated, but playful. Joe’s voice was the first I heard, and it sounded sort of frat-boyish, or frat-beerish. That hunch has since been substantiated by his fixation on Tommy Lee’s magical penis. ;) But I’ve come to appreciate Joe’s high EYE-Q — he’s gotta be one of the grad school frat boys. Jen’s voice is just right. A bit of Brooklyn, maybe? A hint of Caemlyn, always. She doesn’t allow her biases (her Mat-sturbation, e.g.) to weigh too heavily on her commentary. I was skeptical, at first, of Jen’s episode recaps, but by the end of season 1 she had raised it to an art form: “Good bye, small girl on western shore….”. Hee hee. Joe is the reason I became a Patreon subscriber. In the first Pronunciation Game episode, he delivers a line about Vinnie Boombatz that makes me giggle even now, remembering it. Tom has been called bombastic, and I don’t think that’s the right word. He has the air & flair of a great DM, and it makes for a great WOT podcast presence. Tai shar, guys!

kelticlibraGreat WOT podcast! These 3 are a great mix of WOT info, news and humor. I love the theme song! The segments are fun and informative. I absolutely love the character casting in other properties. The Peanuts segment had me laughing out loud.

The ManskiBest WoT show around!!!I have been listening to this show (religiously) since it came out. I have read the entire series once, and have started re-reading it for a second time. And once I heard that a WoT show was ACTUALLY going to happen, this show popped up on social media and I dove right in. Part of what caught my eye was the play on words with the name of the show. Good job! I love the banter that gets me laughing out loud in my car, the amazing hen news, the season breakdowns, the attempts from non-readers at trying to pronounce things, to Tom’s Bombastic History (I love hearing about the connections to different myhos); I have a single care to find another show! You guys are amazing! Keep up the great work, and I can’t wait to hear from you next week!

MeganPrior85Great WoT podcastGreat podcast with knowledgeable co-hosts. Joe, Jen, and Tom are a great resource to stay up to date on your WoT news and the only place you can find out about #hennews! The great discussions are always entertaining. I enjoy listening every week and I highly recommend!

Twitch AveryDiabolical, chaotic, and Delightful!Talk Aron’Riod was one of the first WOT podcasts I found back in 2019 and they sincerely helped me through the stress of 2020! Joe’s the subtly funny one, Tom’s the subtly clever one, But Jen has the best segments! #hennews If you’re a Wheel of Time Book fan who is only now discovering WOT content creators because of the show, you need to listen to every single episode!!! PS I’m sorry it’s taken me this long to rate and review!!

InfiricLove it! The nerdy friends you’ve always wanted discussing all things WoT!Seriously, this show is great and I can’t get enough.

AlNiCoBluWhy is he called the Dragon? In the books, Rand receives the Dragon tattoos on his arms after coming back from Rhuidian to prove he is the Dragon to the Ariel. (So, there are Dragons in the WoT). I really like listening to the podcast. It’s so fun to hear other people tearing apart the series (not just the Mach’n Chin of my own mind). (IMHO) they should have Only made this series the 1st Novel Eye of the World. It’s a ‘stand alone’ book. It’s so satisfying at the end once the reader knows (for sure) that Rand is the Dragon Reborn (because he got access to the untainted pool of Saidin). And not just because he can channel. Because this allows him to forgo the madness for some time. It irritates me to no end that Nyneve can seemingly channel at will. (What?!) I give the entire video version One star, as a consolation prize. (Mat, Rand and Perrin are Taveren). They weave the pattern around them. It’s how they defeat darkness in the pattern (by being together) . Mat/Perrin not being at the Eye of the World is bull****.

MajcinaBest WoT news in all the landIf you want the ultimate source of information about the Wheel of Time TV show, with a healthy dose of book lore exploration, friendly camaraderie, and honest perspectives, look no further. Joe’s straight-laced enthusiasm, Jen’s (relative) levelheadedness, and Tom’s off the cuff bombast blend well to create something fresh with real substance. And with the release of the show, non-reader perspective is sprinkled in to give long-time book readers maximal vicarious goodness. These guys are sometimes self-deprecating, usually funny, and always entertaining. What are you waiting for? Subscribe now!

Reviewer3568901Weekly HighlightI have loved WOT for the past 30 years. This podcast makes watching the show even more fun. Jen’s recaps are my favorite part - like a WOT mash up with the old Blind Date show from the late 90s. Having one host that is a non-book-reader is also super interesting. I sampled a bunch of WOT recap shows and this one is my pick.

Hutch_Psalm40What I was looking for….I love and sometimes need podcasts that cover my favorite shows as they help me process and figure out all the things that can happen on complex shows. Game of Owns was my companion during GoT and I was hoping to find something similar for WoT and this show hits the sweet spot perfectly. Love the fact its hosts know the books and can explain the context well without being spoilery and have a lot of fun doing it. Really appreciate the humor and banter. It’s a great mix of having fun while taking the show seriously and not ruining things for those of us who have not read the books. This is the exact kind of show I was hoping to find. Thanks guys! Can’t wait to go on this journey with you!

Doug SpahrGreat for new viewers and seasoned readers alike!Whether you’re a new viewer to the show or a seasoned reader of the series for 20+ years, this is the Wheel of Time podcast for you! Hilarious, insightful and steeped in the lore of Wheel of Time, Talk’aran’rhiod is the perfect podcast for show news and discussion. Joe, Jen and Tom will make you feel like you’re in the room with them as they banter in a way only close friends talking about something they love can. I found this podcast not long after the Amazon show was announced and haven’t missed an episode since. You won’t regret giving this one a chance!

Cooluke94The Best Thing Since Finishing the SeriesI finished the books at the end of August and needed more. Thankfully I found Joe, Jen and Tom and started from the beginning. Listening to the three of them talk about show theories, deep diving on certain topics, and just all in all being absolutely giddy about the Wheel of Time was exactly what I needed after finishing the series. They cover a ridiculously wide range of topics and fill me in on everything I wanted to go find out myself…without the needed research and reading. Highly recommend to anyone that just needs a little more WoT in their lives. Can not WAIT for the show to come out and listen to the episode breakdowns!!

gopeter12Literally the bestI don’t write reviews. Ever. After listening to Joe and Jen and Tom on Talk’aran’rhiod - I had to. I’ve listened to every - EVERY - episode. They were the podcast I first started listening to in order to get my WOT knowledge and they are the ones I am loyal to. They dive deep (if you know what I mean), are knowledgeable, they make connections I wouldn’t have thought about and they make me laugh out loud. If there’s a podcast to add to your list for all Wheel of Time info, it’s this one. #talk’aran’rhiod #tai’sharmalkier #tai’sharmanetheran #dragonsworn #wot #spoilersgalore

Jake ChazealWeights and Measures!Long time listener first time reviewer. This podcast is a vital companion to the Wheel of Time on Prime and a fantastic listen for reading of the series (Spoilers abound for the majority of course). Joe, Jen, and Tom are all hilarious and have the synergy only old friends can achieve. Simply tremendous!
-
ScrivdogInformativeI love this podcast. I’ve listened to every episode. Great, current details on the upcoming Wheel of Time TV series, along with solid background on the source material. And they often make me laugh. Thanks, Jon, Jen, and Tom!

AppleSteeveThe BestIf you’re looking for a fun podcast talking about the Wheel of Time - both the books and the upcoming TV show - this is the podcast you want. After listening to several different podcasts, this is the most enjoyable and consistent one I have found. I also love how well connected they are to rest of the Wheel of Time community - if you follow other WOT content producers, they will most likely reference this podcast and even collaborate with the hosts.

Joshsh8Great people. Love your show.Keep up the good work.

Eric Zzzz!!!!!!!Best line ever!I was already in love with these, people and then I heard, “what are the chances we see a trolloc eating a baby?” Oh man, if you are a WOT fan this is for you! Jen, Joe, and Thom are great! Keep up the great work!

jdax0721An excellent WoT show podcast!I’m new to podcasts. This is the 4th WoT show I’ve tried and so far the best. Like the hosts, I’m also super excited for the show. It has been a LONG time coming! I enjoy Joe, Jen and Tom’s enthusiasm and in-depth discussion of this remarkable fantasy series. They remind me of my husband and I when we discuss our passion for The Wheel of Time. I am really looking forward to enjoying this series when it airs right along with these three! Thanks so much you guys!! Keep it up!

btj61642A good listen even for non-fans of the booksA worthy addition to the burgeoning podcast subgenre of smart, funny people talking enthusiastically and in great detail about stuff they like. Highly recommended even and maybe especially if (like me) you’re not a fan of the books but are curious about the upcoming Amazon show and want to have some background info before it starts.
