Came here from Severance coverage. I must say I’m new to the fantasy genre and I am pleasantly that I can tolerate nerdy white dudes talking fantasy (sorry). But I do! I trust them, I like the overall understatedness and lack of gimmick. A perfect companion podcast. (I’m on S2 just realized Elysia is on S3 & can’t wait for that also!) Update. I am on szn 3 now. I think Elysia balances the dude(Steve’s?) nit pickiness well. But in doing so she can be overly nit picky of his nit pickiness in defense of the show. I think as a rule they should let their disagreements slide a bit more to let the conversation flow better. Also now that both hosts have read all the books, i’m ok with the extra context but there are soft spoilers I could do without!(for example re: Matt and Nyneve… didn’t need to know that!) I always appreciate the deliberate credit to writers/actors/costumers by name.

They can not remove their political bias when reviewing a fantasy show based on fantasy books. I tried to listen to a few episodes, but everything is viewed through politically tinted glasses.

Elysia and John know more about the books than I do, and they are reviewing the show as an adaptation to appreciate it for what it is rather than being overly critical of it for diverging from the books, so I want to like the podcast, but they don’t have good chemistry. I feel like I’m in Sunday school as a kid when I hear the episode summaries from Elysia and John doesn’t sound like he wants to be there. The show is hitting its stride and continues to improve. I really hope Amazon green lights a new season and Elysia and John have more time to gel and improve their chemistry.

The wheel of Time is a best unique show on prime video and is the best so I have seen on TV on prime video

Just listened to season 3 preview. I guess they are just another leftist bunch of buffoons. I can’t even. Tried again on season 3. Still pushing head canon as in-book fact.

After way-too-long looking I finally found a podcast with right mix of optimism, intelligence and humor. Every episode is another great lore deep dive with a great crew!

Someone else left a negative review about this podcast and all I can say is lol! The hosts of this podcast are obviously fans who care about the books as well as the TV show. Their detailed analysis and critical thinking about all aspects makes this a very enjoyable and super interesting podcast. Don't let the Internet get you down! Keep up the good work.

I absolutely love that this show is being covered in the depth it deserves. I love hearing 2 fans discuss. I especially love the non-corporate feel of this feed and these creators, in a day where corporatey podcast networks seem to be dominating fandom content. Keep up the awesome work!!
