kelticlibraSo much fun!It is so fun to listen to this group theorize and try to figure out the ins and outs of the WOT world as non-book readers. I appreciate how they support inclusivity and diversity in the discussions.

Headache in PortlandOne listen and I was hookedOur host, Rhuarc, does an amazing job guiding a panel of WoT newbies through episodes and topics. The panel, comprised of gold star geeks with serious sf/f/h depth, give great insight on everything from battle methods to history, mythology, monsters, and more. The result is great insights, poignant observations, and lots of laughs as the group interprets the WoT TV series — without the benefit of reading, google, or fan groups! Each week Rhuarc puts together a top-notch show that truly reflects the depth, complexity, and beauty of the universe created by beloved author Robert Jordan. I see you Rhuarc — and DW, Samaria, David, Siobhan, Greg, and Axel — and thank you for a fantastic podcast.

Yoshiyahu17Great Show for First Time (And OG) Fans!I’m a newcomer to WoT, but I’ve been interested in diving into the (albeit daunting) books for some time now. However, listening to this show alongside the weekly Amazon episodes has been a treat. You definitely feel like you’re amongst friends as our panelists discuss the episodes, lore, their theories, and their overall enjoyment of the series. In a lot of ways, it’s more fun going in without book knowledge and being able to explore the world through fresh eyes with others who are just as green as you are. Even for those seasoned fans from the 90s to now, I believe there’s something they’ll be able to get out of the show as well. Definitely give it a listen!

svenbarkBest WoT TV Series Content Out ThereAs a WoT super fan, I watch a lot of YouTube reviews and recaps, and listen to a lot of podcasts about the series and the show. ‘Watch Party’ stands out as uniquely fun and interesting with its panel of show-only guests, led by a series expert (and real-life Aielman). Semaria is my favorite, but everyone’s theories and observations are on point and engaging. I’d love it, if in the off season, the show became an Eye of the World book club. It would be fascinating to hear this exact group of people comparing what they just watched with the source material. I hope the show takes us to Tarmon Gai’don and that ‘Watch Party’ will follow along all the way there!

JafardiGreat WoT SupplementI really enjoy the alternate points of view that point out things I've completely missed, as well as the ones I noticed and know are completely wrong. It's highly entertaining. Keep it coming! (Also, the impulsiveness they noticed in the last episode can completely be explained in one word: ta'veren. It's the best reason as to why Moiraine immediately believed Rand and they did what they did.)

marchenlandFun and informativeThis podcast is a really different take. Instead of a bunch of experts talking about their well-loved fandom, we get a panel of very smart and funny newbies (new to WOT, not to fantasy) who react to each episode with surprising theories, excellent takes, factual knowledge, and a lot of humor and humanity. Rhuarc exercises amazing control over spoilers and leads the panel (and the listener) through the nuances of each episode. Listening to this podcast is like experiencing the story anew.

General SwansAn Excellent PanelI saw this podcast recommended on Twitter the other day. I thought the premise was interesting; having Rhuarc (who’s VERY knowledgeable of the WOT books) host a panel of new viewers (individuals who HAVEN’T read the books and don’t really know anything about the story or the lore). I started listening to the first episode to get a feel of the group and am writing this review while halfway through the second episode. At this point they’re still doing trailer reactions and have not yet reacted to the TV episodes yet. What impressed me with the panel is how educated and intuitive the group is; they’re able to predict and see the the meaning in the characters and in the lore of WOT with very little information. I’m really looking forward to following this group as they embark on the actual show and the adaptation that Rafe is crafting. As a book-reader, I can’t help but feel a little disappointed that I’ll be experiencing the WOT tv series knowing where it’s all going and what some of the story beats and character arcs are. It will be great to live vicariously through this group’s reaction to the series. With that said, I also get the impression that this will be an excellent podcast for any non-reader who’s coming to the series for the first time and wanting a non-spoiler conversation to listen to. Impressive work so far; highly recommend!!
