MassachusettsMaggiePeaceful and inspiringThis is the kind of content I want when I want to learn but don’t want to add to my overwhelm and stress. I feel calmer, energized, and grounded after listening to episodes (instead of activated and stressed like other media).

the redtail-hawkOpinion, belief, and factI treasure this podcast. Ayana is an extraordinary interlocutor. I am writing because I just listened to the Sophie Strand interview. Several times in her very opinionated view of the world she shared beliefs and opinions that are just that, but which have basis in truth or fact. One can tell wondrous stories of the living world that dissolve one’s sense of “self.” Her stories do the opposite though it is obviously not her intention.

RastaGoldiloxMoves me Awake and moves me to sleepFor sleep- quiet voices, ad free, folks talking to make the world a better place….it never fails to help me slip back to sleep on a morning where I have woken up at dawn and need a few more hours. Awake - the conversations are poignant, moving, inspiring, hopeful….i find myself writing things down and savoring. 5 stars.

dancingwitchAyana is a fraudListeners should know that Ayana is blocking everyone asking why she is silent on Palestine. She will do literally anything but have an actual Palestinian fighting for liberation on this podcast. She’s a Zionist and a fraud.

lillysingsasongMorning MagicI’ve been turning to this lovely conversation in the mornings instead of deep diving into news with my coffee. Completely shifts my perspective for the day and gets me into the mindset of serving the land I live on and nurturing myself wholly. 🙏

DaniSubi1Very needed voices hereThis is the conversation I’ve been looking for. Didn’t know there were other people who thought and questioned like this. A beautiful podcast.

punpunfunfunAyanas older interview with Martin Prechtel is LegendaryThis is a reminder to listeners of this fine podcast to dig in to the older interviews. One of our generations great thinkers, healers, farmers, humans who understandably does not speak publicly or offer soundbites via social media, etc was willing to talk with Ayana. I am speaking here of the legendary author and seed saver, Martin Prechtel, a true elder in a world desperately in need of them. Please do not skim over this one. Truly legendary. Here’s hoping Ayana is able to do another interview with Martin Prechtel soon. All blessings.

LobsterbirdProvocative and ProfoundThis is my favorite podcast and the only one my Soul yearns to soak in on a regular basis. It is both activating and grounding, deep and enlightening. I am so grateful for this space—and the care and attention that goes into creating and maintaining it with so much integrity.

Ian CarrickGrounded hopeAs a suburban person who found myself dispairing at the prospect of collapse, this show stands out as a true beacon of light. I've cried listening to this show, learning of losses this planet faces that I never would've heard about, deepening my grief and, naturally, my love. I've deeply appreciated, and been challenged by, the rich spiritual potency of black/indigenous queer and women leaders. This show inspires me to take action, to open my mind more than I even knew possible, to keep unlearning, organizing, composting, singing, and praying with my feet.

LS9087643Very into the topics, have up due to the audioI’ve tried listening to a few episodes and every time I have such a hard time with the audio that I have to turn it off. The difference between the host level and guest level make me have to turn the volume up and down as the conversation goes back and forth. Too much for me, which is a shame because the topics really draw me in.

bucahigQuality madeThanks for the intriguing and relevant content of today’s environmental issues. A wonderfully curated show with expansive interviews and awesome music. You do such a wonderful job of grounding your listeners in the present moment, offering beautiful insights, and teaching us something new every episode. Summit Seeker CCFantasticThis podcast is phenomenal. Every episode is intriguing. If even 20% of people listened regularly & really took in the messages, the world would be a better place & human society would be healthier.

THE MOST UNIQUE NICKNAMELook no furtherFinding for the wild podcast is a huge welcome relief. You won’t find relentless topical banter. Rather intimate pathways of connection, concern, community and great potential for grounded openness, deep understanding and awareness of human impact on humans and all life directly from those who feel it, see it, live it every day and often for generations. Ayana tenderly locks eyebrows with those who embody and practice mutual care. If you are looking for the organic earnestness and unmatched breadth of intention you’ve come to the right podcast.
-
incostantemotoJust fantastic.Excellent, excellent podcast. One of the most interesting and nourishing ones out there right now.

EKChiaroni@gobarefoot on Instagram brought me hereAn Indigenous land defender I follow on Instagram posted about For The Wild on their story years ago, and I decided to give it a listen. This podcast is truly amazing, and the topics Ayana covers, bringing in Indigenous leaders from all parts of the world, including recognizing European Indigeneity, doctors, scientists, and civil rights leaders. She does an amazing job and doesn’t shy away from critiquing the systems that dominate us all. Truly a gift ❤️

Tiny taint dancerCame for StarhawkAnd I’ll stick around a bit. This is a balm, a reminder that things as they are now are not as it’s always been and a deep wisdom awaits ever patiently….

bildrhodesAmazingly knowledgeable guestsI love this podcast! Thank you so much for all the information you and your guests you and your guests share with the world 💜

ambernelsonisWonderfulI learn so much from this podcast and it is tremendously valuable to me. The questions are thoughtful and the conversations are deep and meaningful. What I will say is that while most guests are real, true experts in some field—like scientists, activists, or academics, there are occasional crackpots. such as the guy who tried to argue that Cuba was a moral society…Cuba, the place where people are currently protesting because of poor quality of life and hunger and such (skip that episode). Besides the occasional subpar guest, this podcast is a great resource and I recommend it to anyone.
-
alicia_saraA brilliant podcastFor The Wild has long been one of my favorite podcasts. Ayana and team bring some absolutely brilliant people on the show and create beautiful and engaging interviews.

personwhoisnotarobotI am a changed organismThe interviews I’ve listened to so far feel absolutely revolutionary, and their truth resonates through my entire being. I am inspired and grateful for this work.

dancingwiththeearthNot sure what it’s supposed to beI have really enjoyed some episodes and really disliked others. It’s very “out there”, ungrounded, abstract. There’s an academic parlance that feels disconnected from reality or practice. It’s also usually depressing and overloaded with an “us” versus “them” / “settler”/ “wise people” binary and division. I’m not sure what this podcast is supposed to be or what the intention is behind it but I’d enjoy more rooted, celebratory and revelatory nature based content. Maybe it’s not the podcast for me!
-
YarroeTruly influentialAn absolutely incredible podcast, I look forward to each week. It is both unflinching at the social and economic reality we live in and simultaneously spoken from the heart, inspiring, and at times hopeful. It takes an intersectional, global, and personal view on this earth.

poppymakiBeautiful!!So so beautiful and important.
-
bre.snodgrassRelevant & Thought-ProvokingI cannot praise this podcast enough. Not only are the episode topics profoundly important for our times (and our planet), but the questions Ayana asks her guests are deeply thoughtful, heart-felt, and well-researched. And while many forms of media dealing with distressing current events/situations tend to leave me feeling anxious and tense in my body, every episode of For the Wild leaves me feeling grounded, calm, and inspired to do more. I appreciate all the hard work that goes into this production and recommend *everyone* gives it a listen.
-
daniiibugCrucialI absolutely love For the Wild. Ayana’s questions are so rich in themselves and always penetrate deep into the important topics that are discussed on this show. Thank you to everyone who makes this show possible.

Maxxi_boiThoughtful, hopeful, heart-openingFor the Wild has radically shifted my perspective to help move through the despair and nihilism of our times. There is so much to be reckoned with, but so much hope in exploring alternative, tangible modes of being. Thank you, Ayana, for sharing your passionate compassion and for amplifying the voices of those who deeply care for this Earth. This work is profoundly important!!
