BillyBob RockafellerAds have gotten out of controlI love the podcast, but the frequency of ads is out of control. If it's not fixed soon, I'll just quit listening.
-
Juan FabulosoGreat content, but ads drive me awayWhoever decided to drop in random ads every 10 minutes, no editing for breaks, has spoiled this podcast. I’m so mad, Academy Sports won’t see any of my $$ this holiday season. Fix it!
-
PRC HunterCan’t stand the blaring adsI love listening to the content, but the constant, blaringly loud ad interjections make it a miserable experience and I just can’t do it anymore. I get that you want to monetize with ads, but there’s a level of ridiculousness about them right now that I am unable to accept.

jake from oregonThe SpominatorThe ultimate cybernetic hunter has been sent back in time from the future to an unsuspecting lair, deep in the untamed frontier of Idaho. The spominator is an unstoppable hunting force, using his advanced programming to ethically terminate organisms across the fruited plain. Under the guise of an old fudd, cyborg Ron demonstrates robotically sharp intellect, light years ahead of conventional redneck methodology. Can the Spominator save the future of hunting? Find out on this podcast.

bnvghcvnhfdtukcfNew Podcast ListenerI am just a few episodes into listening to the podcast, but the content is quite enjoyable. He discusses many topics that are applicable to most active outdoorsmen, and he fleshes out the topics well. If you like content from Joseph Von Benedikt or John McAdams, you’ll like this podcast too.

Chuck AckleyRon is an American treasureEasily one of my favorite all around hunter, writer, podcaster, story-teller, and role model. Ron is always fun to watch or listen to, and if you pay attention you can learn a thing or two. He’s a role model and good influence for hunters new and old, and his philosophy of hunt honest and shoot straight should be introduced to the younger generation. Thanks Ron! Keep doing what you’re doing! We’re listening! Your friend in the field, Charles Ackley

harrystriklynFirearm Edutainment at its FinestThe algorithm actually did its job for good and suggested this podcast 🤖 Superb content drawn from Ron’s personal experiences and not marketing bucks! 🤠 Love learning and listening while outdoors.

Braves fan!!Class act!Ron is a class act and very knowledgeable! I find his voice almost therapeutic to listen to. I have never been a podcast listener but have always followed him on YouTube. Recent change in job has caused me to do more listening then watching and I am glad he has a podcast so I can get my fix😁. Thank you for all you do and I to am a .25-06 Remington lover!!

41 magnummanExcellent and knowledgeable writer/OutdoorsmanI feel honored to listen to your podcasts on all rifles/shotguns that you discuss. If you don’t get something right then you aren’t afraid to admit it. You can take the good with the bad and laugh at your errors. I especially enjoyed the conversation comparing the various 6.5 mm cartridges, specifically the best of the short ones, the 6.5 Remington Magnum. I have owned a Remington 673 Guide Rifle for several years and truly enjoy shooting it. The only problem is finding bullets for it. The only one I’ve found is the Hornady 129 gr. Interlock and I just got some of them recently. Sierra used to offer the 130 gr. HP GAMEKING but seems to have discontinued them. I use the Nosler 120 gr. BT in my SSK CONTENDER in 6.5 Arisaka with great success on deer. Keep up the good work, always enjoyable! The 41 Shootist, Terre Haute, In.

Morbol.MacVery good information!Love this podcast for the quality and entertaining information presented. I love watching younger people play around and have fun outdoors or with firearms and equally love older, more experienced, outdoorsmen break down theories and realities. I appreciate the dynamic and spontaneous nature of this podcast and Ron's ability to answer unusual or specific questions in a cohesive manner.

Robert EatonSouthern State Hunter here!Hey Ron!!! My name is Robert Eaton, 36, Ellijay GA, North Georgia mountain range! I been listening to your podcast since you started it and I watched your YouTube stuff before that and had magazine subscriptions that had your stuff in it before that!!! Love your stuff!! Good quality listening that is clean and educational for new hunters and for experienced as well! I’m an avid believer in the .270 Win I have taken well over 20 whitetail deer with mine at different ranges and down here in the south over ag fields and food plots and thick woods it hasn’t let me down! I’m a lover of the .30-30 and .45-70 and .30-06 as well. My .270 is a entry level Remington model 710 but it has not let me down yet!! Love your stuff keep it up!!!

PseudoswedeTop Notch InformationThis channel has been my favorite new informative follow for all of 2022. As a hopeful prospective reloader and hunter, the information contained in each episode is highly entertaining with the added benefit of being practically-useful at the same time. Thanks Ron!

JBR264Excellent and entertainingI’ve enjoyed Ron’s writings/tv shows for probably 30 years or so. His podcast is a great extension of this and I enjoy hearing these and I have learned a lot from them. Thanks!!

AlaskanExileCommon SenseRon has been a favorite author of mine for 25 years. He seems to find the common sense in world full of hype and hyperbole. If you pay attention to what Ron says, you will learn much, it will be info you can use.
-
308castbulletAnecdotes are the best AntidoteRon: Your podcasts are great as they are. Length, topics, tenor and pace. What I like to find, embedded within a podcast, are those nuggets of info that add spice to the meat of the show. Today I learned you hail from Yankton. That bit of trivia is spice, rounding out the flavor. Thanks, William

Alaska Man 87Ron !Anything Ron Spomer is great! Keep up the good work!

rugrm77Great story teller!Ron is a great story teller really enjoy these podcasts! Keep up the good work!
-
Jackie1492Best storyteller / 5 starsI’ve read many of Ron’s articles, and he is an excellent writer and storyteller. He’s a wealth of knowledge for hunting and firearm related topics. It’s hard to listen to other hunting related podcasts because they just don’t have the knowledge of hunting in the west like Ron Spomer.
-
James SEMOOld school, rock solidI’m more of a gun nerd into the trivial things such as 30-06 vs 308 and push feed vs controlled feed but found myself really enjoying the hunting episodes. Whole show just brings me back to better times.
-
Armi LeggeIf you love the outdoors, hunting, and great stories, you’ll love this podcast. The best thing about this podcast is how concise and efficient it is. There’s no rambling, shaggy-dog stories, or fluff. Instead, Ron gets right into the episodes, which are entertaining, educational, and inspiring accounts of his many years as an outdoorsman and outdoor writer. Ron not only has decades of experience, but a knack for storytelling (and a great radio voice). You won’t regret subscribing to this show or following Ron’s work in general.

ttippipWonderful ListenThis podcast is great to listen to in the car on my way to work. Like most of us, I don’t get to hunt every day. But listening to Ron’s is a nice substitute.
