Would love to see a Dune calendar since the one Dune calendar on the market is pretty but a terrible calendar!

    Thank you
Enjoyed listening along while I read. Thank you for everything you have done. Also the standalone deep dive episodes are incredible.

    Awesome
I finished the Dune novel and needed some explainers on the basic Dune mythology. I stumbled on this podcast by way of Apple and I have not been disappointed. I love the comedic banter. It’s also nice that they have disclaimers with episodes that may have spoilers. Well done. Looking forward to reading Dune Messiah because of these two hosts.

Thoughts I love this new program Dune:Prophecy but I must say the look of the bene gessirit from the original movie 1984 was just more amazing than any of the new dunes. The reverend mother in that original movie presence was so formidable, powerful and that bald head. Then you get to Rebecca F. It all devolved and lost the power and the presence. Now with Prophecy and Emily Watson to me she just not visually formidable and powerful. Plus I love this new podcast!!!!! The Bene Gessirit are the reason I love dune and all there lore .

    My GUYS!!!
The new series that unpacks interviews with Frank Herbert is GAME CHANGING!!!! I have been listening for over a year now and gone through most of the book club and topical episodes. Really loving this new direction for the pod. Herbert was such a visionary and I’m so glad you are really treating him as such. Thank you guys I seriously love you both!!!!

Abu and Leo the men that you are
Best podcast ever! The hosts are hilarious and the content is discussed in a smart, funny, yet digestible way. They make me wish I knew enough about something to have the kinds of enlightening and entertaining conversations that they do - truly two people in their elements! Also slightly addicting, I listened to one episode and within two weeks I was 30+ hours deep and done with the first book!

    Super fun and organized
I love their Leto II voices and ability to not take themselves too seriously while making organized, well-thought out points.

For new & old fans of Herbert
Intelligent, thoughtful and amusing. For anyone who just saw the new Dune movies or those discovering the books for the first time.

    wonderful guides in Dune world
Abu and Leo, You are charming and engaging enough without the awkwardly placed F bombs all the time! Apart from that the show is critical supplemental content for reading or listening to Dune. Thanks lads!

    Incredible show
I love Dune. Getting to listen to Leo and Abu talk about Dune makes me love it even more. The amount of work they put into this show is impressive and noticeable. Every episode sounds great. At this point I can’t imagine reading Dune without the book club episodes. These episodes are entertaining, give lots of context, and get you thinking even more. They really clearly do their research too. There are references to real life studies. All of this just shows the dedication and commitment to such high quality work. I don’t always agree with every one of their takes, but that’s not the point. They raise points that get the wheels turning. Keep up the great work, guys. I’ll continue tuning in.

Made me into a dune head
This podcast is sheer delight. I love the extensive discussion of lore, and most of all the humor and silliness balanced with thoughtfulness and sincerity. Abu and Leo are on the golden path!

Would have only been 4 stars but
the injection of real left-wing politics and the welcome I feel as a brainwashed SJW tips it to 5. Seriously though, I am really enjoying the Book Club episodes after a recent reread of the first 2 books. I find their perspectives helpful in understanding the story at a deeper level. Looking forward to continuing the Book Club series for the remainder of the books. p.s. I am also happy the hosts pass on including Brian Herbert’s additions. His works don’t seem to add intrigue or depth to the Dune Universe imho.

The best podcast I’ve ever listened to
I absolutely love everything about this podcast. The amount I laugh while listening to this is just absolutely incredible. It helps me sleep at night and keeps me company during the day. Leo and Abu become like close friends without even knowing them. I’ve never had so much fun learning before. This incredibly complex world becomes so much easier to comprehend with Gom Jabbar. I have and will continue to recommend it to anyone who is remotely interested in the Dune universe.

    Knowledgeable BUT
These guys know the books well but I find that even their deep dives don’t go that deep. It’s a very superficial exploration most times. The attempts at humor are just bad. And way too frequent. Not saying people shouldn’t have fun doing this but… it’s not open mic night. Could use more experts of some of these issues or literature people on the pod more often. The authors make a lot of assumptions in my opinion on motivations and the plot/story. Also. Quit using the Dune Encyclopedia. It’s awful fanfic and at $200 a copy on the secondary market most average Dune readers aren’t going to go get a copy.

this makes dune even better !
love that i can better understand dunes crazy complex lore

Best Podcast in the Dune Universe!
This is a phenomenal podcast about one of the greatest tales told in the last century. The treat the material thoroughly, but never dryly, and you can tell they enjoy what they're doing. I can't recommend this 'cast highly enough. Great people doing a great job!

It’s not Muad’ib these two are slavishly devoted to but Denis.

    The worst Dune podcast
Hosts are insufferable. Abu specifically. Constantly pats himself on the back for the podcast itself. Can not get through one episode without childish giggling. Injection of real left politics. Pass unless you’re a brainwashed SJW.

    Love!!
Abu and Leo are the best! I don’t have other Dune Head friends and it’s so enjoyable listening to them break down Dune Lore! Can’t get enough! Thank you!

    My favorite spicy boiz
Long time listener here! Leo and Abu are the best and their content is so in depth and insightful. They have helped me navigate the Dune books and lore which has made for a richer experience with re-reads. Every episode not only has me learning new fun details about the books but it also has me cracking up. These guys are super funny but not in an obnoxious way, they fit in the humor throughout the podcasts really well. Keep up the good work guys! ❤️

    My favorite podcast
I just recently started listening to this podcast starting from the beginning. I read frank Herbert’s books after the 1984 movie came out so I’m a little rusty with a lot of specific details. I absolutely love the timeline and individual episodes about characters and planets etc. Leo and Abu bring so much knowledge insight and humor to every episode. I listen everyday. Keep up the good work!
  • RaySiddiqi
    Love the detailed chapter dives
Please redo the first Dune book more in depth like what you’re doing now with God Emperor it feels way too rushed at the start
  • Eddie Harrington
    Fantastic
This podcast is so well done! I’ve learned so very much of the lore and the cast goes in great detail. This could easily be boring and dull but is the complete opposite. Very entertaining and is as if just hanging with friends.

    adore this pod
knew this was for me as soon as abu said that SRK is our era's potential kwisatz haderach. so true king! as a very casual fan who is just entering the duniverse, this podcast is such a treat and makes a very complicated canon feel fascinating and accessible - thoughtful, thorough, & well researched!

    I love this podcast
Its like listening to two of my smart and nerdy friends talk about Dune. I love how they research stuff and the book club episodes are my favorite. Those help me under the books so much better!! Absolutely love Leo and Abu!!

    Live this podcast
These guys know their stuff. I found the Podcast about two, three months ago, but I have managed to get through maybe half the catalog? All the BookClub episodes and everything related to the 1984 movie and Sci Fi Channel miniseries. I do not know if I have found all the ones related to the 2021 movie. I haven’t done the watch-along but will next time I watch it. I prefer the Dune Encyclopedia expansion of the universe to the Brian Herbert/Kevin Anderson abominations, so this is right up my alley. You guys are killing it. Long live the fighters of Leo and Abu.

    Best Dune Podcast!
This is a very well researched and well produced show. These guys put in the time to do it right - all while being so much fun to listen to. The book club episodes are the absolute best way to fully enjoy the Dune books. It takes a reading, or re-reading, of the books to a whole new level. I promise you will really enjoy it. It’s just such a great show and I can’t recommend it enough.

    Lighthearted with great insight
I found this podcast after finishing Children of Dune and wish I found it when I began the series. The hosts really care about the material and give thoughtful insight into things I missed or didn’t understand on my first read through. It’s approachable and kind to new fans of the series— there’s no gatekeeping here! The guys can get goofy and lean into little bits throughout the episode but I think it’s endearing and keeps the mood light. Keep doing what you’re doing guys!
  • Aria523
    They’re kind of annoying
The content is great but they go off and laugh for like 30 seconds at a time about dumb inside jokes. I wonder if they know they can edit it out?
  • lloyddoppler
    Instant fan!
I grew up reading the Dune series in the 1980s. I even had a girl make fun of me at the beach one time when I was about 12 or 13 for reading the Dune Encyclopedia. Anyway, I’ve been revisiting the books recently and stumbled across this wonderful podcast. I’m hooked after just a few episodes! Love the dynamic between the hosts and their knowledge of and passion for the series and the world. Excited to get caught up on the past few years of episodes!
  • Guardian of the Beam
    Highly recommend
My favorite Dune podcast is Gom Jabbar. These guys dive deep, and as a longtime fan who has read the series several times, I find them quite insightful and very funny. If you have not read the books and have heard about how daunting the series can be, may I suggest a read-along with this podcast. They typically go through 2 to 3 chapters per episode and break the discussion into super modern terms which are easily relatable, as well as highly amusing, and leads to many ongoing inside jokes. They also do episodes on the whole “Duniverse”, covering movies, video games, comics, card games and more. Enjoy!

I am obsessed! This podcast has definitely increased my understanding and appreciation of the novels. I love the book clubs, character deep dives, spice morsels, and everything else. I listen to this podcast when I walk my dog, clean the house, drive to work, cook. Abu and Leo are great and so entertaining to listen to. Great job!!!

Your guides on the Golden Path
If you are looking for a Dune podcast this is the one! The hosts have a good mix of humor and deep dive knowledge that serve as a perfect companion for your exploration of Frank Herbert’s Dune universe. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

    Couldn’t get through it
Been a huge fan of all things Dune for over 20 years and I was searching for a solid listen so was excited to come across this. Unfortunately I couldn’t make it through an entire episode. The hosts, no disrespect intended, just make and laugh at silly jokes the entire time. Glad they’re enjoying themselves, but it was a bit much for me. Not against some humor and nerdiness, but I also wanted some Dune content to sink my teeth into. Honestly I was excited for this podcast, downloaded a bunch of episodes, but need to pass.
