    I’m struggling
Missing Adam and it’s making it hard to listen to, especially when it’s Matt and/or Ryan who are so doom and gloom it’s not even a fun listen.
  • ParkHillJM
    Informative/entertaining
I’d love to hear more from Matt and Adam as a tandem. However, This show is phenomenal because of the insight into team and philosophies surrounding the nuggs. They both contribute different styles, vantage points that I find fascinating. They expand your thinking when it comes to hoops. It’s truly a great resource that is FREE. I don’t deserve this

The world just witnessed one of the greatest playoff performances of all time, but this daily DENVER NUGGETS podcast took 48hrs to respond because dude was sleepy. If you can’t record a 30 min ep after this moment, maybe you’re not the guy that should be doing this. Denver will never see another player like Jokic again and this guy is half assing his way through it. We deserve better then this.

    Beware
If you listen to Matt Moore too much, he will drain away any love you have for the game and your team.

I love the episodes with Mares and Moore. I skip the other one altogether.

A transplant who is not a nuggets fan running a nuggets podcast… I like the info but go do a Midwest team podcast if you aren’t a fan.

    Bruh…y’all are making a mistake!
Bruh…y’all are making a mistake! Y’all got Swipa doing too much Bruh! Between dude’s poor audio and saying “Y’all” , “Bruh” and “again” over and over, Bruh is ruining Y’all’s great work! Again, Y’all should consider getting back to Adam and Matt!

I am a Nuggets fan since Melo was drafted. I was recently incarcerated in Massachusetts and your podcast was the only way I was able to keep up with my Nuggets. I appreciated Swipa’s hype and his ability to break down and describe big plays in the games as I wasn’t able to watch the majority of the games. I enjoy Matt’s statistical analysis and that he says Colorado weather has multiple seasons. I think we’re in second spring right now? As a DNVR subscriber I respect Adam’s basketball knowledge and enjoy how he views the game. Thanks guys! -Gordie

I can no longer support this show due to Matt’s trolling of Denver fans. Many other options out there fortunately!

    Please stop
Can you keep it about the Nuggets and not antagonizing your fans that spend time listening to you? Thanks

    Long time listener
Have been a daily listener for years and I love Matt and Adam. But I can’t get through the Swipa episodes now, major buzz kill on the days I want my nuggets fix and don’t get to hear the main guys
  • Love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!?!!!!!!!!
Swipa is painful to listen to
I hate to write a bad review. Locked on Nuggets used to be my favorite podcast. It was always my first listen, and I loved the insights from Matt and Adam. Unfortunately, Swipa is just painful to listen to, and I can’t even make it through the show when he is hosting. All he does is regurgitate stat lines with little or no insight. Please, please, please go back to just Matt and Adam.
  • ephen.stephens
    It’s the “Swipa Show” now
Love Adam. Love Matt. Swipa (De'aaron Fox already took that name bro) just doesn’t do it for me. Fine as a fill in guest, but if he’s taking over, I’m out.

    For Matt
Here is a 5 star review to cheer you up for the lack of offensive weapons the chiefs have given Mahomes. Fingers crossed chiefs don’t do to Mahomes what Packers did to Rodgers! Keep your chip up

    Matt Moore GREAT JOB!
I have edited my review again. Matt has done a great job talking about the Nuggets without feeling the need to give us his political opinion. Much more enjoyable to listen to. Enjoy learning more about basketball and the ins and outs from this podcast. Great listen! I had to edit my rating. For the love of god we don’t need Matt Moore’s political opinion inserted on every episode. Your liberal, we know your opinion on the handling of Covid. We don’t need you to reiterate your point every time you do an episode. This review is from a non Trump supporter.

Always worth a listen. Be ready for interesting conversations and insights about the Denver Nuggets. If you are looking to learn more about the team this is a fantastic place to start.

    Good content, poor audio quality
The guys are very knowledgeable about the Nuggets, but you guys REALLY need an audio compressor to smooth out the volume between who’s talking. One guy is always much louder than the other. Virtual audio compressors are cheap and easy to use.

    Game 2 Analysis
Compared to the Boston and Miami podcasts I heard, Adam and Matt are way more focused on actual basketball analysis, despite their white hot hate for the Lakers and disrespect for Anthony Davis’ incredible defensive efforts for the last four months. These games have been played at such a high level of intensity, so unlike the Charmin Celtics. And as good as Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo are, whoever comes out of the West will probably win the title. Denver, to their credit, has hit all the big shots at critical times. Those buzzer beaters by Jokic, Murray and MPJ that saved Game 1 were all contested. Murray’s shots in Game 2 were as good as anything Curry did this year. As soon as that game ended I tweeted about “The Murray Game.” All basketball fans should remember it that way. Without his unconscious 4th quarter shooting, the series is tied 1-1 and you guys would be soiling yourselves. Bruce Brown deserves a special shout out. I expected all the starters to do what they have done. I knew there was going to be a game where Jokic dominated and another where Murray exploded. But Brown’s play was the real X-factor so far. His play in transition, on defense, and 3-point shooting spread the floor and stretched the Lakers’ defense to the breaking point. He expanded the lead in Game 1 and sparked the comeback in Game 2. In the 28 minutes when he is on the floor with Jokic, Gordon and two of the other three starters, those three lineups have a net rating of +28.6, +42.1, and +52.4. He’s the perfect player to come in against the Lakers guards. Coach Malone and the team benefitted from KCP’s and MPJ’s early foul trouble in Game 2 by playing Brown 14 more minutes, but I don’t think he will alter his normal rotations moving forward. A hopeful sign for the Lakers is that Denver’s starting lineup has played 38 minutes and achieved a -3.1 net rating. During the regular season, that lineup had a +13.1 net rating. That’s the difference between playing like a bottom 5 team this year or the KD Warriors. My guess is that has something to do with the Lakers’ defense, regardless of whether you want to admit it or not. The other source of hope is the non-DLo minutes. All of the lineups except one had positive net ratings. The LeBron, AD, Reaves, Hachimura and Schroder group has a net rating of +44.1 in 15 minutes. Of course, these are all small sample sizes. We will learn more in Game 3. Either the Nuggets will be too good, or salty Mike will be the one forced to make adjustments. The last point is that you should watch game film of LeBron before he hurt his foot. He looks like a completely different player in these playoffs, lacking explosion and lift. This would be a very different series if the Lakers had that guy. So be grateful your team has had great health for most of the year. PS: Matt, with therapy, you will get over 2020 and finally admit the Lakers dominated Denver and won a title because they were the best team the entire season. It’s not healthy to be obsessed with small market self-loathing, NBA conspiracy theories and that massive three-free throw advantage the Lakers enjoyed in their five-game series with Denver. Maybe if Denver finally wins a title, you can put the past behind you and lead a healthier life.

    Another useless homer show
The only difference between this garbage and other biased homer based shows is that amazingly there are 3 idiots hosting this one. One star for making it extra special when the nuggets are knocked out of the playoffs soon.

    Tired of Adam
They both have reasonably good assessments, BUT (Adam’s favorite word). He constantly disses whatever Matt has to say. It’s sometimes subtle, like the most recent “Three Oh”, where Matt say “impressive”. Then Adam says “BUT even more impressive is how”. Matt is gracious even when he disagrees. Adam is just natural offensive. It’s tiresome. Adam thinks he’s a coach. He’s not. Get back to reporting not coaching.

Today’s episode was absolutely hilarious. I love when you guys disagree I have to agree with Adam I do think Zeke is a defensive type player. He’s 6’10 and has quick feet he stays with guys.

    Good podcast
This an interesting pod with two hosts who know the nuggets. I would prefer a shorter pod as I don’t have an hour a day to dedicate to the nuggets. Prefer locked on broncos because they keep it to about 30 minutes.

Fun and insightful. Also Met bet the spread against the Nuggs tonight so I thought I'd make sure he gets a win tonight

    Excellent 2 man game
Adam and Matt both deliver insightful and intelligent analysis without all the nonsense and banter you usually get with a two host sports podcast. It’s rare to have two smart guys not yell over one another on a sports podcast! Good vibes!

    Best duo
I will always ride with Adam and Matt. They are the best and Nuggs fans are so lucky to have them as centerpieces of our coverage. But guys, the audio has been so bad for like a month or more. For podcast listeners, it’s kind of unbearable. Please look into addressing this soon.

    Nuggets and other nuggets
How do you appease fanatics day after day? I don't imagine it's easy and the hosts have done an admirable job growing their skills and keeping it fresh and worthwhile over the years. I learn a lot from hearing their thoughts. I appreciate the dedication and creativity. Not too many people to talk Nuggets with in Hawaii but this is where I find kindred spirits. IMUA! PS- Let's Ride!

    Let’s Ride!
These 2 guys helped with my crash course of learning basketball. They’re both well informed and focus on different parts of the game which makes the coverage more complete and sometimes leads to rational debate. I don’t mind Matt’s Chiefs fandom, but I do want to hear him say the line (Bart).

They really do. This is the best podcast for the Xs and Os of Nuggets basketball. Lots of great content to choose from, but LON needs to be in your feed.

    Awesome podcast!
Both Adam and Matt are a great to listen too and always have great insight on the nuggets. I listen to them and DNVR all the time. Keep up the good work. Go Nuggets!

    Ridiculous
I wonder how many subscribers these guys lost over the fit they pitched when Connelly left? I’m sure I’m not the only one.

    Love the show but…
This is a wonderful show in general and I will continue to listen. Adam is the best in the business not only in Denver but in the country at covering a singular team. Let me preface this by saying I enjoy Matt’s coverage for action network and how he covers the league in general. My problem is with his nuggets coverage. I have no problem with Matt not being a fan of the team and think at times it’s important to get a neutral perspective. The issue is that he often intentionally overreacts in a negative way to the nuggets to cause a reaction. Then gets incredibly defensive about the backlash he incited! Down by 7 to the lakers in the 2nd quarter? “This is an unserious team and should be treated as such”. Down 2-0 in a series you are missing 2 max players and are a huge underdog? “I think the nuggets may need to rebuild because it doesn’t matter if Jamal and MPJ are back”. Lose a game 3 to Utah and Jokic has a terrible game? “He will never be great and should no longer be considered a star. Please Matt. Take some accountability.

    Some constructive criticism
A gift to Nuggets fans, I look forward to listening to these pods on a daily basis. However, some constructive criticism: I think having someone to play Devil’s Advocate to their podcast partner is healthy and makes for a good discussion but constantly warring with a fanbase really drags down and derails the show too often. Matt has done this a lot lately and I just fail to see the point — to the fans you’re fighting with, lecturing them is not going to change anything and to everyone else who just wants to hear analysis about the team it’s an enormous waste of time. There are times to do it — calling out fans for booing Will Barton or for letting the arena get overrun by opposing fans is fine. But lecturing the fanbase over how they should feel about their team and its season is usually uncalled for and comes of as holier-than-thou. This is happening more and more often and I hope it gets recalibrated in the future. Because the rest of the pod is great and this part just seems to be getting in the way a lot.

    Disappointed by Matt’s Twitter lately
I used to like this podcast, and I still respect Adam Mares (who is great) but Matt Moore’s decision to start blocking people in droves on Twitter for holding the belief that the Nuggets are not a good team without Murray and Porter is quite shocking honestly. I’m glad I’m able to listen to the DNVR Nuggets podcast instead, where they exhibit a higher level of professionalism than Matt (especially Vogt and Dev).
  • Occasional Contrarian
Good Nuggets analysis from different perspectives
Adam Mares and Matt Moore are very knowledgeable about the Nuggets, the NBA, and basketball in general. The format of this podcast is usually Matt leading a conversation with Adam, sometimes challenging takes in a friendly way. Both are reasoned and articulate defenders of their perspectives. I usually listen to the Denver Stiffs podcast first, then this one, then Ryan Blackburn's Pickaxe podcast, to get a complete understanding (yeah, that's a lot of Nuggets podcasts, but with no local broadcasts of their games and a slow thaw of the multi-year boycott of Altitude TV on the big cable and satellite carriers, choices are limited).

    Adam A+, Matt…
Great, essential podcast in a space that sorely needs quality Nuggets coverage. Adam knows the Nuggets and basketball inside and out. Great, energetic, varied delivery. 5 stars. Matt is a good analyst, but his litany of vocal tics, pregnant pauses (5-10 seconds of silence- you’ll think your phone died), starting every third sentence with “I will say this-“, repeating “it just does/is” again and again, low vocal energy, holding listeners hostage for Chiefs talk (whyyy)… it takes great analysis and makes it something I have to break up into 2-3 listens. The analysis is good! Just please, some media training. It’s an audio medium. Thanks so much for the pod, and know the criticism is all from a place of love and wanting the pod to be great. Appreciate you both.
