    Listening from down under
I love that I can learn about American issues from your podcast. My daughter has an American dad who unfortunately is a Trump supporter and you help me explain the other side of American it is as what she hears from him disgusts me

    This is no good.
We can’t solve this problem of racism with violence . Riots, violence, destruction and theft is never ok no matter what the situation. I don’t know what the answer is but we need to find a way to channel our rage for change in a better way. A way that doesn’t involve violence.. We won’t see any long term change from these riots. As a white non American women I stand with you. I am enraged and revolted by what happened to George. But I am appalled that you justify that it’s ok to steal from shops. That it needs to happen. That riots need to happen. That is rubbish. No good comes from violence. We are teaching our kids that violence is the only way to be heard when things get hard. Peaceful protest should be happening. But you can’t protest violence and racism with violence.
