CAMP06Excellent showLong time listener; first time reviewer. Love the stories and appreciate the clear narration. Truth is truth, by the way. Itās not āwoke.ā We have to know our history, even the bad, or weāre doomed to repeat it.
-
Coomdaddy#1Getting close to unfollowingI have faithfully followed and listened since the beginning. But Aaron is starting to let his political slant creep into his narrations. I hear that everywhere else. Not about to hear it here. I hope he drops the passive jabs and goes back to what made Lore great

Ted Bendywhy is this still going?2 stars for having some amazing content. But like, just let it goā¦

Bake67Legends 48I drive down Sara Jane road in Port Neches all the time and have heard the legend before

jenmagnusWhat a ride!!I didnāt realize I have been along for the ride that long. So very glad you found your calling. We listen often and haven been for since the beginning. My 10 year old son loved when you added cabinet of curiosityās. We listen to it before bed every night. This was more his style being less scary. We just wanted to stop by and say Hi Aaron!! -Jen & Magnus

Eliza6262Thanks, Aaron! And HI!Iāve listened to this show for about five years, and I continue to love it. The production quality is amazing and the personal touch from Aaron shines through. I even took a trip to one of the locations mentioned on the show, just to see the spookiness for myself. I listen to this show just before bed to relax, and the gentle storytelling of local legends is very comforting for some reason. Thanks for years of great listening. Iām looking forward to many more episodes!!

Mikey Likes PodcastsHere js 5 starsFor 10 years of Lore. This was the first podcast I ever listened to in April of 2020 and brought me into the world of podcasting. I shut my TV off and maybe watch one hour a week. Thanks to Aaron and the Lore team over the years.

Li9891Great show!Wonderful writing, riveting stories, excellent reading! Weāve been listening to the show since the beginning and are really enjoying the progression as Aaron Mahnkeās career grows and grows. Ignore the reviewer with such fragile masculinity that he canāt handle a single story about nuns. Silly.

Ayababajonesā¤ļøThe BestThis show is so creepy and interesting. I often listen to it while doing schoolwork and it sure makes for a more interesting day.

cant get no resolutionMatt Walsh says flagellate yourself if you hate white men so much.Woke, white men hating garbage. Was a great show, then ruined the entertainment with arrogant, progressive trash. Keep politics out of entertainment.

Boss Mama of 3Thank you from a momIāve been a long time listener. As a mom at home with 4 a little kids, your show has helped dull the loneliness, and the rough nights of rocking my babies. Thanks for a great show! Andā¦.Hi!

AredeepiLegends and Lore from Liberal LenseIāve listened to this show for nearly as long as itās been going, and Iām done. When I heard ten minutes of how horrible life was for French nuns, but that they all did it anyway, just to get away from men and the patriarchy, I realized this show had lost the plot. Itās not historically accurate at all, and if a show about history isnāt accurate, whatās the point? Every episode now finds some way to blame white men for something, no matter how tenuous the cause or how far it needed to be stretched, almost as if thatās the focus and intent now. Itās all so tiresome. Lore is no longer a show about accurate history. Itās just story time from a white man with so much self loathing it affects everything he does. So, if you want to see an example of a white man ruining something, look no further than how Aaron Mahnke has ruined his own show with his self hatred.

RdjcbierPlayed outIt seems heās run out of good tales to tell, so heās resorting to smug, ignorant Catholic-bashing.

ohforFOX_SAKELoreIāve been a loyal listener for the past 10 years- I started in high-school and now Iām a 28 year old anthologist all thanks to this podcast. I thought the world would be a little lost without us but Aaron- you inspired me to continue with my passion. All I can say is thank you for inspiring young me and still supporting me now.

Witchy_BabyBeen Listening on and off for YearsI originally found this podcast probably circa 2015ish? I fell in love with the show and have come back to it time and time again to binge and get the latest episodes. I absolutely love the presentation and story telling. This is one of the podcasts that got me listening to podcasts and itās the reason I have continued to listen. Highly recommend Aaronās other stuff as well, also really good stuff if you like Lore.
-
AleksandraGillStill one of my favorites years laterI absolutely loved the most recent episode āOh Deerā so I figured it was time to leave a review! This show reliably delivers the excellent stories from all over the world and the connections between things is super cool. If you like mythology, folklore, etc then you really canāt go wrong!
-
CaptainR3dBeardAwesome podcast for long car rides! My wife and I really enjoy these, thanks for all these great stories!

ENKMIThe main content is good, the feed is awful. The feed is so littered with subscriber only shorts and āDeeper Loreā,3 minute episodes that serve to only list other similar episodes, that Iāve found Iāve just stopped listening. Itās too annoying to mark off as played all the endless filler so I can find a story I want to listen to.
-
robajiThe Perfect Bedtime StoryThis is an excellent podcast. Aaron Mahnke is a renowned producer and storyteller. Lore is the ideal show for individuals who enjoy captivating narratives from around the globe.
-
blah, blah, blah 2001Ad free?I love lore but i hate ads. So I became a paying member but I have ads still. Deeper Lore has ads. I have to go through and erase all episodes of deeper lore every time I listen. It's a pain, especially since I pay for no ads!
-
Radiochild80Best of the BestAaron Mahnke is super clever with his words. As a podcaster should be, if you ask me. But he really takes it to the next level. I love hearing his clever little anecdotes and the stories that make up the podcast are always interesting and engaging. The library is so huge now as well, you can just scroll through and pick one at random and you know it is going to be a good listen. Very few podcasts you can say that about. Good job and keep em coming Mr Mahnke :-)!!!!
-
JudostrikerWowAaron Mahnkeās story telling is fantastic. Iāve listened to Lore for years and just love the immersion and content. My favorites are any sort of cryptid or creature. I love the history as well. Grim and Mild has the best content and makes it feel like Halloween all year

Laxguy1617Love the podcast, but there are some problems,While the content does get a little repetitive, I really like the podcast. I have only been listening to this for a significant amount of time, and have not run into any episodes that have specifically woke or overly prejudiced suggestions or interjections, as I am seeing in the majority of negative comments, that is clearly a problem that is prevalent in a few of these episodes. I agree the adās are a little ridiculous, particularly in the latest episodes Aaron will say, listen to a quick ad to listen to a short extra story at the end, and proceed to play multiple adds the end up being over 5 minutes. However, I did rate this podcast 5 stars for a reason, I really enjoy the show. I find I can just throw one of these episodes on in the background when folding laundry, mowing the lawn, or some other menial chore around the house. I feel that there could be a bit more variety in the topic of the episodes. The grand majority are about the same type of scenes, and there could be a better job done at mixing up the content, and talking about something different, like ancient Asia, and the many spirits that they believe in over there. I donāt know, just a suggestion. Thank you Aaron for making a podcast that keeps me entertained when I am bored, I really enjoy listening to this podcast.

ElCapitanNicoBest Travel Podcast Ever!I travel frequently and I love to search for Lore episodes about the place Iām going to give it a spooky feeling, learn some history, and have great stories to tell! Really glad I subscribed. Hi, Aaron!

tessa the foxy loverGreat podcastI love this podcast and the host. It chills me too the bone, and makes me interested in the dark side of history. As I said love this podcast!!!!!!!
-
NiallSlytherinBooksAmazing!Such an amazing podcast! I love the detail you go into, and how it ties to modern day. I started to listen over a year ago when I was recommended it. This got me into the supernatural genre. I love the episode unboxed about Robert the doll. I watched the Sam and Colby video about it and they go very well together. Keep up the great work!

Lday1021Premium subscriber but still have ads??Fix this please. Episodes 244, 245 and several others have commercials in them when I paid to hand them removed. Love the show but ads are obnoxious.
-
Jess8261987Too wokeI still listen to it because I love the content, but every other comment is about how bad the white man is! People just arenāt interested in negativity like that. Maybe have a separate political podcast where you just bash white people!
-
Baker23313Political InterjectionsI really like your show except when you throw in personal political interjections. If you want to do politics do another show. Jabs at Jefferson for not being a champion of people other than white people is ridiculous. Read The Declaration of Independence and youāll see one of the reasons why he told the king we were succeeding from England is because of slavery.
-
TeddyBrooseveltOnce Great Poscast has Sold Out . . .Episodes are hidden behind a paywall now and the ads are incessant. Joe Rogan sells ads without interrupting episodes. Read them before or after, but please stop ruining episodes with ads that ruin the flow. Had to unsubscribe, hopefully theyāll fix it and Iāll come back.

spunkmyrAmericaā Favorite Past-timeā¦Seriouslyā¦the added comment about Americaās favorite past-time being ādiscriminationā was pretty lame. Iām sure that got you some approving nods from the folks around you but, it was nothing but a random virtue signal in the 17 Nov episode. You could plug in so many other countries and groups that trying to make it seem like an American owned issue just seemed forced. We get that you canāt do a podcast like this without being square on the left. For those of us who come here to avoid the constant added in left or right comments, leave it out next time.
-
Bravo 6Itās okayI think this podcast is pretty good but the sellout is ridiculous. Every other episode being exclusive pay for membership only is just awful and really ruins the flow of the podcast. Also the friggin 3 minute long ads just ruin it. I love hearing about the stuff that gets covered in this and I think I would definitely become a subscriber if these issues were fixed. Thank you Aaron for all the hard work you put into this and I hope that the show can grow and become better over time
-
wrenballetAwsomeI read a book about a Sasquatch and my dad said that I should try this podcast. And I LOVE it, just maybe make more episodes you can listen to without the subscription. šÆ

amand0rFriend or FauxThe best episode in ages. I havenāt been this interested in Lore in ages!

Dont replyA Neurodivergent Personās Best FriendInteresting, visualizable, clear and organized. I love this podcast, because Aaron makes it very easy to understand and maintain focus on the subject at hand. With its descriptive passages, itās also very easy to visualize what he is saying in oneās head. There are many times when Iād much rather listen to Lore than watch television for that reason. Honestly, I regret the face that I canāt wipe my memory to listen to all of the episodes over again. With all that being said, the nature of this podcast is very inviting to my fellow neurodivergent people and more. I think of these episodes as a mini brain vacation that also allow me to focus on my tasks at hand. 100% recommend if you are looking for a podcast that is equal parts entertaining and methodical.

iā¤HKSo Interesting š¤I STILL love this podcast ever since it was released! The subjects, brilliant research and Aaronās voice all meld together into a masterpiece! š
-
Big Smooth COAdds even after subscribing.Hi Aaron, Love this show and listen to it most every night during sleep and hobbies time. I can not stand commercials and pay not to have them there are still commercials and even worse they are the fakest spots that change tone and volume of the channel. Itās gotten to the point I am going to have to stop subscribing. Do you have a plan to fix this or is it going to continue?
-
blackdogonthebeachHistory, folklore, ambienceI have been a fan since 2017. I loved the depth and breadth of research, whimsy mixed with gravitas. Aaron (hi!) can tell me a story anytime. PS All the Grim & Mild shows are excellent.

JazzyPPizzazziLove it1Love it! My favorite podcast for fall- the vibes are spooky and great for a cool, dark morning or evening. The background music from Chad is a great touch to building the ambience- it is very easy to get caught up in the story! (Hi Aaron!)

Sneezy38Clever and very entertainingI started listening to Lore from a recommendation by my oldest daughter. She said it was always interesting. I have really enjoyed listening to all the different podcasts that Iāve been able to listen to. I have enjoyed each and everyone of them and I highly recommend them.
-
Maria doesnāt careYou sold out.Why do I have to pay a monthly rate to be able to listen to a 15 min episode and 10 min of it are commercials? Or why is the latest episode 5 min? 3 min of commercials and adds then 2 minutes explaining what to listen to from your old stuff and remastered stuff thatās the same thing. What happened to Lore? Thanks but no thanks.
-
taj222111Never stopIāve been listening since 2015!!!! Always love it always scared this guy never misses
-
Janizzle08I miss the old vocal cadencePlease slow way down with your reading/ storytelling. Way too fast paced and even upbeat for this spooky type of genre. The first season your voice and timing sounded nice and pleasant to listen/sleep to. Now I somewhat enjoy it if I slow down the podcast speed, but itās still not the same. Please slow down!!
