THE CHEATING GYPSYGolden GlovesAn absolute knockout! This podcast delivers a powerful punch of insightful analysis and thrilling fight breakdowns. Whether you're a die-hard fan or just dipping your toe into the boxing world, this show is a champion's choice. Five stars all the way.
-
MrSpicecakeYou fellas need to start talking about boxing5 stars because I love boxing and we need more boxing podcasts. That being said.. this is more podcast about the PBC than boxing. Every podcast is about why PBC is superior to Top Rank or Matchroom. It has become really played out and boring with the predictable takes - even with Lex’s galaxy-brain theories.
-
Benito1313Hit or missThis show is hit or miss. I enjoy listening to it, but sometimes the analysis is a little ridiculous. Post fight analysis is changed to fit what we saw, so it seems to lack some intellectual honesty. Have an opinion! You can be wrong sometimes, nobody thinks you’re Teddy Atlas.
-
Doscar1026GI love this podcast, but for goodness sake can you guys go one episode without talking about Floyd?

Z. ScardinoVersatile, informative, and provocative on multiple levelsSunday Puncher frequently presents an alternative take to other boxing pods, particularly in regard to dispelling narratives pushed by promoters and their closely aligned writers that other pods seem to just unquestioningly accept. The guys on the pod have a good diversity of backgrounds and perspectives and that often leads to differing opinions and any given fight or situation being discussed from different angles like business considerations, legal issues, matchmaking, entertainment value, etc. They also have a Patreon podcast you can subscribe to that has a mix of more in-depth analysis and comedic relief and the Patreon subscription also gives you access to a private Discord channel where an eclectic mix of boxing nerds and miscreants commingle with the creators of the podcast discussing boxing in more detail than what you see on social media. All in all, I enjoy the content created by Sunday Puncher and the podcast in particular is good for listening to while I’m driving in the car or having intimate moments with my wife.

JmeelzBalanceGreat pod! Angelo steers the ship and you get to hear all kinds of takes from a rotating cast. Even if you disagree with a take, you can’t argue that they aren’t generally well informed about the business side of boxing. I really like when there’s huge fight and multiple hosts are on. One thing I would love is if the show ever had a boxer as a co-host. Not to interview but to add to the rotation on any given episode. Love the show and it’s “band of misfits.”
-
not Donald Trump JuniorLex has been the worst addition to the podThe latest episode, coping with Canelo lost, showed why Lex is an absolute casual. Saying stuff like Bivol does nothing for Canelos legacy and that Charlo was the better fight is absolutely absurd. His comments about the De La Hoya scandal were inappropriate. All he does is complain incessantly. I’d rather listen to Antt, who knows nothing, from the Porter Way than listen to Lex who thinks he knows everything.

IzdatyofaceeeMy guysThis podcast is like talking boxing with the homies at the bar

Texas CoalitionSmart Host Sub Par Co-HostListened to a few episodes. Main host articulate and fair. Co -host is the tribal type who doesn’t come with facts most the time. He puts a little LDBC flavor into the show, not a good thing.
-
Times New RohanBest boxing podcastReally the only boxing podcast I’ve come across that looks at things from an industry analysis POV.

mikeymac6Terrible boxing podcastI’m desperate for boxing podcast to listen to, I listen to Chris mannix , and was listening to pugg and copp which is no longer. I tried giving this one a shot, I’ve listened to about 5 episodes. It’s a terrible podcast for several reasons : it’s completely drawn out, they could cover topics in 1/5 the amount of time it takes them to beat a subject to death. Angelo makes completely unsubstantiated statements all the time that are based completely off his opinions, assumptions and wild ideas which he has many of. Last week I heard Angelo say he doesn’t think David Benavidez is anything special. I’ve read a lot of people on hear say Angelo knows what he’s talking about, he doesn’t , at all. He knows a lot about boxing, he knows a lot of names, he knows the history of past fights, but he’s terrible at judging boxers talents and has outlandish opinions that are very rarely accurate . Which I wouldn’t even mind but he talks in such a pompous self vindicated way that I can’t bare to hear him spew his filth.
-
MrrobertocarlosvelaGlad I stayedWhen I first listened Angelo came off as a know it all and some of the other host had a snobbish or elitist attitude, but the fact is Angelo does know what he’s talking about. It’s the kinda talk that someone that sees the whole picture speaks. As far as the other host they all have their own personalities that contribute to the greatness of the show. Best boxing podcast I listen to.

Hands of Stone 88Boxing by Sunday PuncherOverall, they are excellent. Led by Angelo and with a rotating supporting cast of Tom, Fred and a few others, they delve into all aspects of current state of boxing. It is like being in their living room as they jab back and forth and argue their points of view. Also have an outsiders take and frequently make fun of establishment writers. I have listened for the past couple of years but have been a strong boxing fan for last 50 years. What I like is their obsession and appreciation for the sport. Since they are younger probably in their 30’s, I do miss some historical context to fighters more than 15 years ago. The other day, Tom made an attempt talking about Duran and Hagler. Tom is generally very knowledgeable and his takes I agree with, but it was evident he wasn’t that familiar with the fight. Most glaring were his comments that the scorecard was lopsided. It was extremely close and if Duran won the last round, he could have won the fight. All in all, their observations on the current state of boxing and their humor keep me listening. I really enjoy the podcast.

-
gwizzirdbest boxing podcast...PBC favorited which i’m fine with .. fred absolutely hates on things he isn’t a fan of. even with that, the dynamic between them all is nice . everybody that’s on the podcast, they all have great takes and their own angles on subjects which keeps it really interesting.
-
MikeyA82Best boxing podcast out there...... bar none
-
michaeljocowGreat PodIf you love boxing you will love this podcast, the guys are very knowledgeable.
-
Beatsbydre1Okay.Very informative at times, but they come off as PBC fanboys. The DAZN jokes were funny at first, but they quickly get old.
-
Nate BarkleySolid insights on the backroom dealings of the sportFred has never fallen asleep on the podcast. That was a conspiracy started by rival boxing podcasts.
-
Petty Officer S-CGood analysis of legal issues and business issuesFred and Tom have intelligent insights into the Ali Act, basics of boxing contract law, and programming decisions. Good discussion of boxer’s past recent fights that they reference well when giving previews of upcoming cards.
-
mat telAmateur hourAll opinion, little insight, straw man arguments, and softball questions.

juanksi_speedBest of the bestGreat analysis and coverage
-
cashew11305 STARSBest boxing podcast out there. Great dynamic no matter who is on the episode
-
SomeofusBy far the best boxing podcastThis is no doubt the best boxing podcast, not because of their analysis, although great, but are unafraid to argue, belittle each other for bad points while not taking it personally and in great stride. Hidden gem. I don’t understand how anyone can give less than 5 stars.
-
Hooligansd4Great show but...Great show but that Fred guy is super unprofessional and sinks the entire show with his stubbornness and potty mouth. Host couldn’t even get through the intro with out him interrupting.
-
JaR4545Do these guys even like boxing? If you like listening to a bunch of guys who like to complain about Reddit and don’t particularly like anything about boxing except the PBC and Canelo, this podcast is for you.
-
LukieBoxingQualityReally enjoy the show
-
jbbolton23Another brutal boxing podcast1st time listening, 5 mins in this Tom guy is dropping racist nukes, and mumbling in low Chris Mannix style speaking of going lower and lower w/ his voice until you can’t make out a single word. “Don’t think the Canelo fan base is savvy enough to download an app”... Then Canadian accent guy comes in calling DAZN “Days Inn”. Face palm emoji. How hard is it to pronounce common names and words, or not be a racist?!?
-
BoxerPuncherAmateur HourWhat a bunch of hacks. You would think after the number of shows these guys have done there would be some level of improvement. Sounds like a bunch of children recording themselves on a Walmart karaoke set.
-
Ben lowkeyWorst boxing podcastAll they do is complain for 2 hours long. Act like they know everything about everything. If you hate boxing so much stop watching. Boo-hoo crybaby garbage. Especially Fred someone please take this guys microphone. Listened to 1 show and couldn’t make it past 15 Minutes. TRASH.
-
cirayrayVery biased and amateurish, will pass on this podcast from now on.Better boxing pods out there, I don’t think the hosts are as adept at understanding the sport as they think they are and have extreme biases that distract from the commentary.

Doctor Jay BlaySolid continuedAlso, DAZN is pronounced Dazone!!!! You know this but you insist on pronouncing it wrong likely because you’re haters. DAZONE
-
Mike HoffmeisterIf you’re looking for a good boxing podcast this isn’t it.These guys are disrespectful to boxers and boxing. To hear them talk I wonder if they even like the sport. I really tried to give them a chance but I just could take it anymore and had to unsubscribe. Don’t waste your time.
-
AndoyBokchoyOverall great analysisI really enjoy Angelo analysis’ and they don’t let the opinions of other boxing analysts to skew their view (I feel). And am I the only one that absolutely loves Tom’s over-analysis and Angelo’s inside jokes??
-
Dnice3030SolidGood fight breakdowns and entertaining banter but the takes are predictable. All the hosts are like-minded in their support of PBC. I don’t have a promotion preference, but you’ll start to know what’s coming after a couple episodes... Angelo is at least funny about it, but Tom is unbearable.
-
PatinaBoxExcellent for the in-depthMy order of boxing podcasts is "5 Live Boxing" first for the interviews and headlines, then "Sunday Puncher" for what people like me think! SP talks in-depth about everything as if you have access to an internet connection and already follow the sport, which I REALLY appreciate. And yet it's still very approachable & surprisingly well-produced. No constant adjustments to my volume knob in the car, and no EQ needed like some other niche podcasts. It sounds like a REAL radio talk show without the radio posturing. My only critique, if you can even call it that, is that they seem to love making pro-wrestling references. I can't stand pro wrestling, so I cringe a bit when they're introduced. But besides that, if you want to hear a spirited debate about anything in boxing this is the go-to. They're hilarious, and I always walk away with an idea or two I didn't have before.
-
Kanaka86Decent Podcast w/PBC biasBeen listening for a few months now. Can be entertaining, in depth but very clear bias with their time spent discussing PBC and hyping of their fighters and cards.
-
steve0135Sunday PuncherBest boxing podcast out there. Keep it up guys

jwv082232HatersHaters Haters Haters O but pbc is AWESOME COME ON GUYS BE BETTER
-
SoGeorgeousEnjoy the show but...Enjoy the show...I found this podcast looking for any talk of my guy Pacquiao but stayed around afterwards cuz the talk was legit. Hope to hear more Pac talk in the near future. My one only gripe is the pronunciation of DAZN as “days in” or “Dazz in” when to my understanding it is “da zone.” Please just stick to saying it one way, the correct way, cuz it’s mad annoying. Thanks for making my work as a mailman a little easier. Peace!
-
Dx PComes off very unenthusiastic n cynical about boxingSure we have to wait for good matchups in boxing. But the podcast host can’t be so cynical and low energy when discussing boxing
-
crowbarsupGreat boxing podcastSunday Puncher is a great boxing podcast that covers all the relevant fights and goes into depth on the behind-the-scenes stories you may miss.
-
mdh257Good knowledge. Flawed host. These guys know their stuff and, as a result, I listen. It’s hard not to be bothered by the main guy, who confuses acting annoyed with everything and being interesting. Most podcasts have the host play it straight and have the pundits manufacture conflict or submit hot takes. This one does it backwards, which means you don’t particularly like the main voice. That said, I do listen, which speaks to the fact that they have interesting opinions and do know what they’re talking about. I think having a producer switch the two main guys would make this a five star. And who knows, maybe I’m just easily annoyed.

mr. canarywoodCarlos Ocampo T-Shirt ContestI am writing this review for the sole purpose of winning my very own Carlos Ocampo t-shirt as promised in Episode 176 of the Sunday Puncher Podcast. I have been closely following the career of Carlos Ocampo since his pro debut on July 27th, 2012. I'll never forget that night in Ensenada, Mexico. Perhaps I was the only one in attendance who realized what I was witnessing. It was the birth of a star, more grand and spectacular than the largest of giant gas clouds collapsing under gravity itself. The journey from that fateful night until now has been flawless, a perfect record of 22-0 with 13 knockouts, taking mercy on those who came to see the light, and casting down to the depths of hell the heathens who dare defy him. The time is now for Carlos Ocampo to take his rightful place at the pinnacle of the sport and thus, the world. I know little of this supposed champion Erol Spence, I pray he is not foolish enough to tempt fate or to triffle with a demigod. We shall see... As for the podcast, it's very listenable, the guys are objective in their analysis and are responsive to questions and comments. Highly recommended if you're looking for a boxing podcast that covers the sport week by week.
-
Ccccasssseeeyy70/30???Had to comment on last show. I agree that Canelo deserves higher cut. But Canelo cost GGG a $20 million pay day. If you don’t think that deserves more than 5 points on the rematch then you are delusional. Try that in ANY other business and you’d be laughed out of the board room.

CthulhuboxNice Listen for boxing fansGreat podcast to listen to if you’re a boxing fan or a casual trying to dive deeper into boxing. I listen to this on my commute so the length of the podcast is great for these half hour to hour commutes. I enjoy the banter between the varying “guests” and host as well. Keep it up you guys. Hoping they get sponsors some time soon.
