One of the best design podcasts!
I love this podcast! I listen to it almost every morning on my way to school. As an aspiring UX/UI designer, Trav and Los have motivated me to work hard on my portfolio, reach out to others, share value and publish my learnings. Plus each podcast is hilarious and entertaining from start to finish! Thank you guys so much! Keep up the great work!

    Your personal design mentors
Trav&Los! I've had the pleasure of meeting you both at a couple meetups and been silently following you guys since. I want to thank you both for putting so much work into the podcast which has helped exercise my mind as I'm starting my first job since graduating college. Your more recent episodes on authentic self & professional complacency have helped spark some latent ideas and projects that I've been wanting to start, but never gotten around to. My projects are currently in their beginning stages, but your topics have helped nudge me to find ways to share my ideas and experiences in different forms instead of worrying about how other people might view me for opening up. If you guys need any help or want to be introduced to any potential guests for the show, I would love to give back to the show in any way. Thank you again! Preston McPeak @prestonmcpeak PS. I totally relistened to episode 3 to try and craft my response and follow your guidelines 😂

    Best of the Best
These guys are the best. I've been designing since 2003, then finally 2 years ago I landed an official web design job, and this podcast has helped me to really upgrade my situation. Thanks guys!

    Happy centennial'th episode!
Finally, after 2 feeble attempts of bypassing Apple's firewall, I get to write a review. I had extra motivation this time since I finally caught up to the most current episode today; I've been listening every day to/from work for months. (I have to wait a week now? Ugh!) Trav, Los, you guys are amazing. You talk about the everyday struggle of a creative person with such transparency, intimacy, candor, and humor that I cherish these podcast more than (most of) my education elsewhere. Not only that, I consider these podcasts even more valuable because growing creatively is more important now than it has been for a while. With how fast things are changing, we need to learn how to swiftly identify a challenge, create solution(s), and enjoy the heck out of it. Our work is, after all, a big part of what we do in life. A huge thank you to both and to all your attendees. Every single one is worth following on social media. All great content and great people. Holla' at shaboi! Comin' at'cha from Massachusetts. (I confess: I'm horrible at slang.)

    Inspirational, creative, constructive
Lighthearted podcast with two awesome guys who are here to educate and broaden your mind. They're funny, motivating, and they always have positive messages to deliver. Their main genre is design but their lessons can be applied to all aspects of life, whether or not you are a creative. Keep up the amazing work guys!

    Top Notch, Consistent Content
I started listening after watching DevTips for a long time. I’ve reached out to Travis on occasion and he’s always been a great source of knowledge. Both Trav and Los have wonderful personal insights on being a Developer/Creative (I’m a developer). Keep up the great work - you two are awesome. - Kevin (kzisme)

    Throwing Down Truths
I'm getting through each episode slowly and surely, but each episode I've listened to, Trav and Los are always throwing down some real truths. I've leaned so much already on how to tackle the world whether it's personally or professionally. As college student (who is about to graduate) it can be so hard to know how to pick yourself up and move in the direction you want to go and you guys have been very motivational/inspirational. Thank you Trav and Los for being mentors and for being intentional with the topics/ideas you share.

Hey Trav! Hey Los!, I've been listening to your podcast for a few months now. Gotta say i love it. I heard an episode a somewhere around the 50th one, it was great so I then spent 3 weeks listening to all the former episodes. You two bring good feels, co-hosts, including the cat tree, thanks keep it up! 

Best Podcast in Personal / Professional Development
This is my absolute favorite podcast. They tackle personal and professional development in a real-life way without any pretention. You can tell they're genuine guys who are authentically passionate about the topics they discuss. I'm a fairly new designer and developer, and pretty fresh in my career life in general, being only 23 years old, but I feel like this podcast is equipping me and setting me up for success. I really look up to these guys and trust their insights.

    Disturbingly amazing
When you put your earbuds on you find out that Trav and Los are those typical, humble, wanting-to-help-you type of guys that come rarely. You know they’ve struggled but still they’re ready for more, they’ve failed and they want you to teach you that fail is where glory comes from. They know how “it works”, and they give you the tools to find out and learn rather than just poison you with the easy way. Most important, they’re accessible. Almost like your best friend or maybe the perfect guiding tutor. That’s yours to find out. In rare occasions we find someone that can understand or has walked the path we’ve walked, or maybe the one we want to walk.

    Anxiously await every new upload!
Absolutely love Trav and Los (and tree cat)! I got hooked from Travis's YouTube channel: DevTips. This podcast is definitely not just for creatives, it's for anyone who wants to learn more about being a better human. I've used these life lessons in my daily life. The advice: "Don't react; respond." Actually earned me a promotion through some changes we went through at work. I was the only one who didn't freak out and just went with the flow and I truly believe this podcast was a big part of it. Thank you Trav and Los!

    Inspiring and Funny
This is an amazing podcast full of insights and valuable knowledge. The spontaneous format makes for a very natural experience and casual listen. Late Nights is the perfect culmination of knowledge, experience, and epic beards. They discuss the skills necessary be successful in any industry and life in general. GREAT JOB!

    Coming of age
This show is about two guys talking about life, check it out because it changed my life. I can now say I'm a designer after practicing the wrong design for many years.

    Very Cool
I get great vibes from hearing the podcast and it’s because of the format. You are in the room with them just hanging out and absorbing some major knowledge. Thanks for the hard work guys!

This podcast is a gem !
Hey Trav, hey Los ! I promised myself I would post a review once I finish listening to all your episodes and now is the time to do it ! I'm a French guy living in Japan, trying to transition from education to web development and learning a lot by myself (thanks a lot for Dev-Tips by the way!). But even if I love this learning experience, it can be really hard sometimes and when I started I felt quite alone in this struggle... That is until I found Dev-Tips and later on this podcast ! These 2 beardy guys are awesome ! Not because of their technical or artistic skills (which they got plenty of), nor because of their beards but because of their human skills. They are not showing off what they can do as designers, they are taking their time and energy to help us being a better person (by communicating better, or be a better listener, or how to focus and be productive). It's like listening to your best friends thinking with you about daily problems we all encounter and giving you advices because they genuinely care. This podcast is so full of altruistic thoughts and goodness, and also got so much humour in it, that it would be a shame not to try it. Thanks to them I came to love my commute time, and I learned a lot about me, about design and also I learned some English (twerp?! :p) Thanks a lot for your work, can't wait for the next episode ! (By the way, I'm sure some people at Apple could use your advices and make iTunes a more bearable user experience :D) ((Second time I try to post a review, not sure if it works so I'll send you a message directly if this review doesn't appear in the store))

    Design Cheat Codes
Trav and Los have been my virtual mentors for several months. As I recall looking for cheat codes for video games back in the day, it feels like I'm still getting an unfair advantage over other designers in my school. I'm a student at SCAD which is a well respected design school however it amazes me how many points my teachers miss that these two guys touch on. I've been in countless powwows with my teachers and class mates about the topics in this podcast which has elevated my understanding of the field and even helped me land jobs thanks to their tips or cheat codes*.. Really appreciate the help and I hope you both continue to guide the future of designers in the right path! Ps: you guys made me realize that designers can be rockstars 😎 cheers!

    Must Listen
Not just for designers or those in the world of tech, this podcast is just about becoming a better human being overall. The episodes are fun, informative and leave you thinking about the topics long after the episode finished. My only gripe? I wish the episodes were longer, becase I love hearing Travis and Carlos speak. This is pure quality. Listening to them talk, you're transported to Cali, sitting in a backyard with a few beers while you talk about life and enlightment with to of your closest friends. Thanks guys, keep up the amazing work. Can't wait to hear more.

    Who needs creativity?
My friend put Late Nights onto my phone with no notice to me, and for several weeks I listened without any idea of the context of the info. I'm a chiropractor- but I love this podcast, and last week I used Los' brainstorming techniques to lead a national meeting of young doctors. So what I'm saying is everyone in the world needs reminders of how to be more creative.
  • AzerByJun
Best podcast you can find on this freaking iTunes
So I am not that "nice speaking" as all previous reviewers. Just want to say that. This is an amazing podcast where mega cool voices and mega cool beards are. And mega cool designers telling about mega cool stuff in design world, they are encouraging people to move forward and to have a beard because beard is pretty cool. This guys are awesome, definitely will recommend to spend some two weeks of doing nothing but listening to all the podcasts they made. Because they are even that amazing. Yo!))) 😋😋😋😂😂😂😀😀😄😄😬😍😍😍👍👍👍

Very Entertaining and full of great learning opportunities
Love the podcast. Learned about it from Travis’ DevTips Channel. I really enjoy the music at the end of the podcasts. I find my self listening to the full song and wanting more.

    One of my Favorite Podcasts
What a wonderful podcast! I started listening to the podcast after hearing about it from Travis on DevTips, and what a good move it was to start listening! Being a young, creative professional fresh out of college, this podcast is exactly what I need to grow intellectually and creatively in my field, and as a person. The topics discussed are precise and informative, and the dynamic between Travis and Los is wonderfully playful and fun. You've become a staple in my daily podcast consumption. Keep up the great work, guys!

    Becoming a better Human
I first started listening to this podcast to learn more about development however I have learned so much more. I have learned how to be more productive, how to be a better communicator and how to inertact with others. This is only the start of the list. Trav and Los talk about so many different subjects that I wait in anticipation for each new episode. I find them very entertaining and the way they present subjects make you feel like you are a part of the discussion.

    Prepare your earholes, people!
Seriously though. I came here hoping to immerse myself in a podcast about design from two designers. Instead they walked through those lil' earholes of mine, slapping that old daddy wisdom across the place, shaking up the reality I thought I knew as the Creative Process. I practically binged on fifty of these episodes in a period of three weeks and can profoundly say these two keep you laughing and entertained through their whole process. If you want to feel like you're sitting next to two of the best creative minds work through a creative thought, sit down and buckle up, Jane. You're about to get twirted. no seriously. give it a listen.

    A big fan from Morocco!
Hey Trav, hey Los! You guys are a great source of inspiration for me. I listen to your podcast when I'm at the gym, before i go to sleep and when i'm designing. It's been a while I haven't listened to music because of you :( Also, if you ever plan to visit Morocco, I'll be glad to show you around. Keep up the good work. cheers

    Wholesome quickie
I wear uncomfortable shoes and a blazer for professional development podcasts. Nooo! I don’t want to work when I’m not working even if it makes me go to heaven. But Late Nights is Sesame Street Fighter and Bob Ross Kenobi mind melding via thumb war on for-realsies design topics. I’m just a low down dirty web/new media student in SF and they’re the cool cheerleader babysitters who I admire like saints and secretly crush on. Sigh. Thanks, guys. I needed that. -April

    Just Subscribe, Trust Me
Trav and Los help you take life and make it better, whether you are a developer or not! They take interesting topics and, through their bro banter, turn them into intriguing and intellectually stimulating podcasts. Gain an instant 2x multiplier to wisdom and fortitude when you listen. Oh, and be prepared to LOL and make everyone around you think you are crazy. Guys, your podcast is really helping me out in a career transition that I am currently trying to make. Your episode on How to Get a Job and Keep It was the best! I'll update you on Twitter if I have any good news in the next couple weeks! @theChuabacca

    Legit
I started with dev tips, and liked the dude, explaining things with joy and smile. Kind of took me a while to get my hands on this podcast, and now I am hooked! This podcast brings that missing part of lough and fun back to my day! Touches interesting topics, explaining why and what about things that you are never actually thought of. Like the long intros and outros .

    Binge Worthy
I have been a been a fan of Travis’ YouTube channel, DevTips, for awhile now. It was through one of his videos that I first learned of Late Nights. In the past, I have always struggled to find a podcast that I enjoyed while simultaneously providing great advice for designers and developers. Late Nights has me both of the attributes and so much more... Perhaps the best quality of Late Nights, is the duo’s alternating host format. Trav hosts one week, and Los hosts the other. This format proves an excellent platform for allowing each host to express their own perspective on navigating through the joys and the troubles of living as professional designer or developer. Many hearts to Trav & Los. Thanks for giving me and other designers your insight and encouragement. This podcast is ‘Binge-Worthy’.

    Two Little Angels
The Late Nights podcast has been incredibly impactful in my life as a budding web designer and developer. Like *two* little angels on my shoulder, Trav and Los’ advice has permeated my conscious through the headphones in my ear holes, always giving me great advice in times of need. They have taught me practical ways on how to grow in my creative talents and profession better than any other resource I have found to date. Despite what creative field you are in, you also will find this podcast both beneficial and formative for your creative process and professional career. Give it a listen!

    Unexpected Outcome
I got into this podcast after watching one of Trav’s Dev Tips videos. I was really searching for more Dev Tips material but I was glad to find out that it wasn’t. These podcast are alive with humor, friendship and spontaneity and I really love that about it. Aside from the good vibes, it’s also a very helpful tool. I will never say anyways, EVER! Just the other day I went to a tech meet up and when asked what work I was in/why was I there? I said “ I am JUST learning how to code”. Immediately after I said it, I felt how much i had belittled myself and then Los goes on and reassures me of my faulty choice of word. You guys are a great team, keep doing all that you guys do because it provides sincere motivation. Trev, your sleep cycle is envious so I am going to call you a tad bit crazy lol.
  • Jassim Abdul Latheef
    This is awesome.
I was not intrested in podcasts, I started listening podcast about one month ago, I was about to stop listening because I coudn't find anything intresting in podcasts I started with. But when I found you, I understood this was something I was missing from starting of my career. You are amazing guys, I listened all of your episodes within a week. I think anyone can teach us how to use designing tools. But you are delivering amazing contents and it is teaching me how the designer mind works. It is encouraging me to find my better version everyday. Thank you guys and keep up the great work ~ From India

    Merry Christmas!
Every Tuesday morning, or Wednesday, I feel like a little kid on Christmas morning rushing to my iPhone to check my podcast. As I open the app, I eagerly await to see that red dot with a "1" at the corner of the Trav and Los podcast. I always look forward to listening to these guys every week. They are down to earth and give great insights concerning the industry. After being buried in development work all day, it is a breath of fresh air to listen to Trav and Los. It's like hanging out with you buddies after a long day at work and chatting about each other's thoughts. It's like the human side of the industry. This podcast has been a great help and every subject discussed...so far, has hit the nail on the head and helped me be ready to take on the next day. Thanks guys for a great podcast. "Hearts for Tran and Los!!" Mark JC
