This was once a great, insightful podcast into the world of golf from an outsiders view. They are now part of the golf establishment and it’s sad to see. I’ve tried to come back several times but, sadly I’m finally done.

Get rid of the guy

The criticism of former commissioner Samaan only comes out in force only after she is gone. Need more contemporaneous honest takes. Be willing to take the heat in the moment. Even if it damages relationships.

Please stop these KVV sappy over-dramatic pods. It’s unlistenable. The banter between hosts is what got me hear. KVV solo is awful and awkward. For the love of God, stop.

I'm poorly educated but have a curious mind. Never went to college, never pranced around the ivy corridors. Niel.. Nel..? Hrmm, ah yes, Neil.. embodies everything that is trash in this sport. A shame that he seems to get a stronger grip on the reins each passing week. C'est la vie - middle fingers as I finally cut the cord.

You need to find a new name for the E-9 segment. Stealing it from Golf Subpar. Buschleague move

I was trying to get some insight into the president cup. Limited options out there. I could only stomach about 10min before I gave up.

Love the podcast, especially women’s golf coverage as well as men’s. Last episode on history of the Women’s Open was great and would love to hear more historical and other content from Jordan and others on the women’s game.

Excellent episode but there probably needs to be an apology issued to Karen Stupples for not remembering that she started the final round of her Open Championship win: Eagle-Albatross on the first 2 holes…kind of a big deal.

Probably played on their high school golf teams watched a lot of golf on TV now they are self proclaimed “experts“ foul mouthed punks

I’m a little shocked by some of the 1-2 star reviews from people who just don’t get it or totally misconstrue a conversation.. The guys don’t have to hold your same opinion on EVERYTHING lol

Golf Sponsorships 101 was excellent. Would love to see a 201 or some other hybrid business interests episode during the off season. Would love to know the angle from the host club’s perspective for playoffs, majors, presidents cup etc…

I just found this podcast and it has become a go-to on the majors weeks. I love professional golf and I don’t have friends that are knowledgeable enough to get in the weeds. These guys are a collection of really sharp guys with great attention to detail, metaphors, jokes, nicknames, data, etc. Most importantly, the gloves are always off and they call it how they see it. I’ve started listening to them every evening for their summaries during majors. Phenomenal.

KVV is a great addition. I am disappointed that the rest of crew have come to embrace LIV. To call out Sally Jenkins and her editorial on Bryson was shocking!

Incredible episode from KVV. Thoughtful and insightful about a taboo subject.

It’s no doubt these guys are knowledgeable and offer great insight on players, courses, tournaments, etc. But my god they find a way to either hate on, complain, or whine about…players, courses, tournaments, etc. at every opportunity. It’s hard to listen to at times but informative and entertaining golf podcasts are hard to find so there’s no other option.

These guys actually take LPGA seriously. Its great. Marcoux did address KPMG coverage on Live from. Basically blamed the media 🤷‍♂️ keep up the good work!

Best golf content there is

I watch golf to be entertained! Is Bryson that awesome that he can switch between authentic and inauthentic? Kind of a bonehead stance. Still yet, I enjoy the pod!

Every host brings their own style and insight. Love the NLU boys. Tour D-riders for life!

It’s truly a privilege to be a part of the NLU community and consume their content. They put out entertaining and thoughtful content for golf sickos and the quality of their work is constantly improving.

Insightful and funny. I stopped playing golf in high school because it was so stuffy, and this podcast was the catalyst for me playing again. Great cast of personalities on the show. Shout out to the YouTube content as well.

The only way.

Before No Laying Up, everything else in the golf contents space was complete garbage. This brand saved my golf life and many of my fellow breathren. I insistently consume this brand nonstop. Although it is not for everyone if you give enough time and go back to and listen to enough older episodes, you start to really like the podcast and know the participants better. Everyone who enjoys the pod should hop over to the trap draw and listen to the episode with Neil when he visits TAIII in Las Vegas. Array of Hosts Include: TC always brings the controversial hot takes, he’s not everyone’s cup of tea but he doesn’t go and conform to the consensus of the group making for good banter. Neil (TCs Younger Brother) - Cracks me up. Randy is the voice of reason and someone who has general appeal to the masses, the “Everyman” of the show. DJ and Cody are OK and play the “role player” personas to perfection. Soly (main host) has gotten much better over the years, but sometimes I miss the little flare for not doing this so professionally, but he has good questions and insight and really knows golf. He knows golf statistics as well, but he could possibly describe those statistics (and what they mean) when bantering to give the audience a better idea. Lastly, KVV, gives the podcast journalistic integrity and he’s very well informed and a fantastic writer. His piece on Victor Hovland is fantastic, he really captures the essence of, Joe Mayo - a golf coach that approaches the game a different way and a coach who doesn’t normally do interviews. If you’re looking for your standard PGA Tour Fluffer podcast, this is not the place for you, if you want to hear somebody talk about the real issues that affect golf, subscribe and listen. If on the golf course if you find yourself consistently falling behind or other groups playing through, this is not the show for you. These guys are all that is wrong with the golf media, totally unable to see any other perspective than their own because in their eyes they can’t possibly be wrong.

I used to be a fan of the podcast but these guys are absolute clowns now. Constantly play favorites with the players they are friends with and dump on everyone else and most courses outside of the ones that butter their bread. TC is the biggest violator of this. Can’t even give Xander his due credit after winning the PGA. Instead, pouts like a little baby during the Sunday recap pod. Also, a PGA Tour player who they picked on for years (Grayson Murray) tragically passes away and they can’t be bothered to do more than 2 minutes on it. TC literally didn’t even comment on it. If it were a LPGA player they would’ve done a whole month of podcasts on it. I’m tired of them playing favorites and their arrogant attitudes. Moving on from this clown show.

Easily the best golf podcast available. The No Laying Up guys provide insightful information about both pro and amateur golf, they get great interviews with people involved in different aspects of golf( players, course designers, caddies, golf media members, commissioners of both the lpga and pga tours and many others) And their travel series and original content is just fantastic.

The show has good insights but would be much improved by dropping one of the regular participants. Unfortunately you guys are like giving 5 shots a side by including “tc” ion the show.

The Dixie deregulated free market excels at “a tournament like any other.” *** “It did not even sound fun,” Solly on his daddy, Yipsy, walking off the 18th on Sunday. Disagree. That moment was hilarious. An 82-77 weekend. And 60th out of 60. Complete humiliation. And all of it self-inflicted. May it happen annually for the next 25 years at “a tournament unlike any other.”

Simply the best golf podcast hands down.

Enjoy the show, love the tournament recaps. Only complaint is the over use of player nicknames. We know you’re cool, we know you follow pro golf. At times I have no idea who you’re talking about.

The podcast was so much better before KVV. That dude is insufferable! Stop talking

The dudes on this podcast are insufferable. Complaining incessantly about the state of pro golf and how it doesn't suit their tastes anymore. They complain if someone that isn't well known wins (Rory, Spieth, JT, etc.) and moan about how "mules" are taking over the game. If "mules" like Wyndham, Harman, etc. are constantly doing well now, then they deserve it. Nobody cares about your crappy takes and how you want the game to look. If you want to listen to a bunch of nobodies with inflated egos give the most boomer takes possible about the modern game, this pod's for you.

If you’re a golf fan this is the perfect podcast

Usually critical of everything “old” and the PGA tour… LIV is seems to be the product they want the Tour to be?? Anyway, I listen. I most enjoy the POD’s player interviews.

Don’t waste your time listening to these guys. Early on when the only players that would talk to them were guys on the KF tour, so they advocated the PGA tour for more opportunities for lower ranked players. Then as they got more access to higher level players they advocated for changes to the PGA tour for fewer players and fewer events but were completely against it once it was created by PIF. Were against LIV because it was backed by the Saudi gov but now completely OK with PIF money if in the PGA tour. These guys are clowns.

What a nerd

I like it. A little too Bro-ish at times. They’re all unaware that no one really gets their inside jokes, or nicknames for golfers. But it’s a good listen. I like it.

This one is great. Long but what an entertaining listen on one of the most famous masters. The bit about golden bear was hilarious.

Great show with an unreal balanced coverage of golf relevancy. KVV is a great full time acquisition. Solly’s voice comp to Shane Bacon is underplayed, but that is not a slight. He makes the show work. Picked up the pod during Midwest winters a few years ago. Loyal follower even if I don’t agree with every take.

KVV narrative pod was one of my favorite pods in a LONG time. More of these please.

KVV, really good writing and narrating of Gary Player beginnings in Golf, family and attitudes of South Africa towards segregation and how Mr. Player changes his. Shows how attitudes and understanding evolves in those open to change. Great impersonations too!

Stumbled upon you guys on YouTube when my now 2 year old was an infant and I was up late at night helping him put down a bottle. Tourist Sauce and The Strapped Boys was outrageously clutch for during those early months of fatherhood. Fast forward to now and I’m an avid Trap Draw (s/o Mr. Jeezy) and NLU listener. Thanks for putting good stuff out into the airwaves and doing you guys!!

Love the pod but discovered these guys via the strapped series on YouTube and truly believe they make some of the best video content on the platform.

These guys are the catalyst for golf as an entertainment product. Extremely creditable, knowledgeable, and entertaining. Solly is quickly becoming the best interviewer in the sport and seems to always asks the right questions. These dudes have it going on. Keep up the good work!

Love the show, have really enjoyed all the guests and episodes, but the Trevino episode was by far your best, what a treat to listen to!

I discovers them in 2020 and have been a loyal listener ever since. Insightful. Funny. Great chemistry amongst them all.
