Clara @Simply Teaching SpanishInspirational and full of wisdomI’ve enjoyed listening to your podcasts as you offer a lot of wisdom. I especially enjoyed listening to How to Combat Loneliness As a Homeschool Mom. You offered a lot of great suggestions as to how to make friends. I especially liked the one about reaching out to retired homeschool moms. This is something I’ve considered doing just recently. Thanks for the suggestions!

dot07aSome good but behind the timesThere’s some great episodes on here about time management, anxiety issues, homeschooling challenges, etc. But. As a Christian, it is time to live in this century. Young Earth creationism has no place in any modern science curriculum. I cannot believe this needs to be said. This is why people want to make homeschooling illegal; because the homeschooling religious fanatics reject facts and logic and make the rest of us look bad. You’re making it harder for those of us who want to homeschool our children and give them a quality education by having people think your personal truth replaces actual fact. The Bible is many things, but a science textbook isn’t one of them. Also, there are several episodes that hint the creator of this channel and several of her guest speakers don’t support the LGBTQ+ community. If that’s true, you should feel ashamed of yourself. Bigoted and backwards beliefs like that drive people away from the church and Jesus. Not towards him. It’s the 21st century. Please act like it.

DoodleboogerGood life skills. BAD science.I wanted to love this homeschool podcast. There are a lot of great resources on expectations, organization, and anxiety. However, I am severely disappointed to see an endorsement of a science curricula espousing a young 6,000 year old earth. As an environmental scientist and someone who has been an educator for preschool to college, I can assure you this logic began being disproven by the 1830s if not sooner. If we want people to take us seriously as homeschool educators AND prepare our children for the possibility of a rigorous college education where they will encounter THE SCIENCE of evolution and geological time we need to embrace mainstream very well documented science and not fringe minority unsubstantiated opinions. There are many Christians who see the disconnect and how this turns many people away from church. Wishing for more homeschool curricula and communities which endorse real science. It is time to let our children live in this century.

WintersCAScriptedAs I appreciate you taking the time to perform a podcast, listening to an individual speak from a script feels insincere. It also can sound robotic.

HollmeisterKind of ironic...I listened to half of the episode about ADD teenagers and while the content was good, it sounded like she was reading off of a script and I found it so boring to listen to that It didn't keep my attention, oh well on to the next podcaster...
