Chuck Long couldn’t talk worse of Ferentz if he tried. Even when Iowa wins, he struggles to speak highly of Iowa. No idea why he chooses to be on an Iowa podcast when he clearly isn’t a fan. As for Tom - can you ever have your own thought. Everything you have to say is taken from other podcast/reports. You bring nothing new to the table.

why do you call the men’s game iowa basketball but call the women's game iowa women’s basketball? why not iowa men’s basketball and iowa women’s basketball? or if you have to choose you could just make iowa basketball the women’s team since they are all anyone cares about. so weird that even a school with caitlin clark has people who can’t help disrespect the women’s game. come on fellas. it’s 2024 UPDATE: thanks for changing the way you describe the women’s and men’s teams in your pod and pod descriptions. changing my rating to 5 stars.

Host needs to stop interrupting, cutting off, and talking over his cohost. It’s become unbearable to listen to this podcast.

I’m done listening to Chuck. Gave him one more chance. His thoughts about Coopers punt return being called back is ridiculous. Always puts down Kirk and definitely doesn’t see what almost everyone else except Minnesota fans sees, a terrible call. Hate his analysis.

All that jontificating should hold me for awhile.

Very informative podcast, Tom is a legend on the Hawkeye beat. Understand it can be challenging when working remotely, but the constant interruptions is getting hard to listen to.

Why does Matt Randazzo use the phrase ‘all that kinda stuff’ a minimum of 5 times in each podcast?

I used to listen to the podcast regularly because I liked Randazzo but Tom Kakert is getting unbearable. He is thin skinned and can’t take any criticism. He deletes threads on HR and bans people for even suggesting that reporters are out of line (like Rob Howe). I’m dropping my HR subscription. Rob Howe is the worst. Kakert is 2nd.

Please have the Illinois clown on less. I don’t listen to this podcast for a scouting report on the Illinois defensive coordinator

These guys are great for Hawkeye fans! Know their stuff! I could probably pass on the gambling talk, but the rest is so good, it is still the best Hawkeye pod out there. These are good dudes!

Love Tom’s insight, don’t love Matt’s 8th grade humor. Also, if you are going to have a gambling sponsor, you should probably stop Matt’s nearly every episode reference to having a gambling problem. Not a great look.

Long time listener but will likely drop off this season. Love the insights on game matchups, recruits, etc but I’m sick of hearing about every game analysis through the lens of lines and over/unders. Move that content to a separate pod please.

Really enjoy this show. It’s really improved and developed from the early years. Tom and Matt are great- love the mix of Hawkeye news and opinions with some fun too. And unlike certain Hawkeye pods this keeps the political garbage out of it. Highly recommend to all Hawkeye fans.

I don’t know who is worse Tom or Matt. Definitely a small class operation here. They are terrible and talk about their little crew that nobody cares. Matt just kisses toms butt. This is funny and terrible at the same time.

I enjoy the podcast every week! One piece of feedback...Can you please stop feeling the need to spend at least 10 mins on every podcast defending Joe Weiskamp against a small number of social media warriors who talk bad about him? It’s not necessary in my opinion.

If you live outside of the state of Iowa (or even inside) this podcast is a great way to keep up on Hawkeye news. Tom and Matt have a way of making it seem like your with friends shooting the breeze talking Hawkeyes.

Love Matt and Tom. Hawkeye sports talk with good natured joshing and Hawkeye legend guests. Favorite segment is the creepy corner (must listen to appreciate). Great fun. Keep up the good work fellas.

You guys are fantastic! I love to listen to the Hawkeye Report each week. Matt’s a bit of a Wieskamp homer but I can let that go. Joe’s a very good player and I’m glad he’s a Hawk. He’s just not a “i can take over the game” player. At least not yet....... Go Hawks!!!

At times Randazzo spends too much time bragging about his “connections” to former and current players. And it sounds like he’s eating or has something in his mouth. It sounds petty but in radio/podcasts all there is to focus on is the sound. Kakert is worth the listen for his good information and reasoned opinions. He has the demeanor of a true journalist with good sources.

You’ll probably really like this, I do.

For me as of late, its getting hard to listen to. Hasn't been a bad podcast but lately some terrible interviews. Pat is cocky and annoying.... please improve content and language.

Previous years were great but I'm not loving the three person dynamics and cursing this year. Has taken a step back.

Great for Hawk fans. I know they are plugging the restaurant the show airs from but that is part of the fun. All the things I like Hawks, beer and huge sandwiches.
