Courses #143

The Great Courses brings engaging professors from the best universities to lifelong learners on audio and video. We create a "university of the best," working closely with our customers to design each Great Course. With this podcast hosted by Ed Leon, you'll meet our fascinating professors and experts who create The Great Courses, listen to their stories and insights, and learn more about the great work they are doing. Discover scientists explaining the latest findings from the fields of astronomy, particle physics, or neuroscience; historians exploring the implications of the latest archaeological findings; medical experts making sense of current health alerts or medical breakthroughs; and literature professors bringing fresh insights to classic literary works. This podcast is available in audio-only format. More information about our courses can be found at www.TheGreatCourses.com.

Great! but include info tab would improve
This is a beautiful podcast. It would be helpful to the listener if there was an "info" button to get a short synopsis of the episode, especially since the title often runs of the screen.

    Fascinating!
So far I've only heard two, but both were some of the most educational 30 minutes I think I've ever experienced!

    Impressed
I’ve listed to 3 of these and found them all interesting. One of them was interesting enough that I purchased the related course.

    Always Something New
I love this podcast. Each one has an intellectual sampler of different fascinating topics. I laugh, think, and often re-think things I thought I new -- every episode. The professors are charming, often witty, and offer a lot of insight in just a few minutes of their interviews. Highly recommended.

    Awesome taste test
This is a great way to find new course they are offering. I'm a big fan of the great courses and own a few via audible. This is a great way to get introduced to other teachers and get some information on new topics you might not hear about otherwise unless you looked for them. Great job. Love the host as well. Good voice and awesome questions.

Get Updates from some of the smartest people around
I have been a fan of the Great Courses, in fact, I go back so far that it was known as the Great Courses on Tape. While listening to these courses which are done by some of the smartest and most talented people, there are always new courses and information which you don't always notice or have time to review. This podcast gives interviews with the professors who are creating new courses. The information is interesting and exciting, and the production quality of this podcast is at the highest level. All the podcasts I have listened to so far have been very entertaining. I would recommend this podcast to anyone, and one you will always be "chomping at the bit" to get new segments for.
