Great lectures, but could use an update!
Love these lectures! Please, professor - can we get an update on this class? I’d love to see you incorporate the learnings from JWST, as well as all the new exoplanets we’ve found since 2009.

    Refreshing
A nice change from listening to hosts laughing at their own stupid jokes, and 20 min of nonsense to get to relevant topics. Just wish there were more current episodes!

    Amazing lectures!
Dr. Pogge is the best, me and my 16 year old son both listen to his podcasts and love them! They are funny and full of great facts. He is a great speaker, with a pleasant voice and gracious class! The recordingd are clear and very well prepared. All in all, he is spoiling these young kids who will be expecting all college professors to be this great! THIS MAN NEEDS A TV SHOW! I would watch him!

    Wonderful.
As an airline pilot I've spent my whole life looking at the night sky. I decided to learn more about what I was seeing and found these podcasts. They are well presented, easy to understand. I've just finished 161 and have started 162. I have 141 downloaded and ready. The graphics from the ohiostate web site are a big asset also. Joe schena

    Amazing science podcast
This is a fascinating podcast. The focus is definately on astronomy, but he covers so many other fields as they relate to astrobiology. I have listened all the way through several times. This is my go to science podcast for every roadtrip.

awesome - learned a lot - heading for Astronomy 161
This was my first experience with a Dr Pogge podcast. It was a great compilation of information from various diciplines. I would love to have taken the class in person. I'm going to carry on with his next course. BTW: if you have listened to the entire 141 podcast, then you know I purloined my nickname above from a phrase in one of the last chapters. I'll use it here only as a nickname. It seemed appropriate.

    Thank you, from the heart
Dr. Pogge is an excellent lecturer. He's clear, concise, extremely informative and NEVER boring or monotonus. Anyone interested in astronomy owes it to themselves to at least give this a try. I've listened to many professors in my life (Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine), this one is top notch. Thank you Prof. Pogge

    !!!!!!!!!!!
I went through 161 and162 and thought they were amazing. Now I have not even gotten through 10 episodes of this and I think this is the best podcast/lecture series I have ever encountered. Just the scope and scale of the subject is mesmerizing! May this class have a long and fruitful life! ...and if you ever want to come to the University of North Texas I will sign up in a heart beat. I'm going to go look up your text for this class now...

I just found this podcast a few weeks ago. I fine them fasinating. The instuctor is very good and interesting and explains things in a realistic manner. I have started from the beginning and plan to go through them all. I wish I could have taken his class back when I was attending college.
