MikeMikeDC777Beautiful, lovely, awesome group of guys with intelligent commentary on an amazing, prolific manLove these guys! Been a listener since 2014 (Art Official Age review) when i was 16... oh i miss those days but as Prince would want, I have to look forward!! The everlasting now! This podcast motivates me and inspires me to create a body of work where people have such intelligent discussion on my work... won’t be like Prince, no one will ever be Prince... but I’ve learned so much just from listening to these guys... from the audio/technical side from Captain, to the musician/theory input from Toejam!! My all time favorite podcast and I hope y’all will still be doing this for years to come! Thank you!

Cumo 42Great PodcastThis is by far one of the best Prince related podcasts out there. Even Prince himself listened to it. The 4 guys doing it are very entertaining and informative. It’s a must listen for any Prince fan!

TheSeanChristopherPoorly Informed Opinion Podcast - Update2018 update: Love the podcast at this point. People with strong opinions are often WRONG and you just have to deal with it (Captain!). Overall, I love the show and want more. ************************** Updated Again: OK, I finished listening to the full 2-part AOA pod. It seems they took my criticism to heart and made a specific effort to address it. That is cool. Real cool. I also really enjoyed the “music lesson” in “THIS IS WHAT IT FEELS LIKE.” It takes men to take criticism and make it something positive; to use it for improvement and not assume it is trolling. I stil disagree with the “Cage to my dove” assessment, but there is room for all of us in the Purple Army. And the HITN’RUN pod didn’t anger me at all. :) I’ll keep listening and hopefully revise upward again. Updated: I listened to another pod. Gave them a chance… The one guy who thinks the lyric is “Like a cage to my dove,” thinking Prince doesn’t mind keeping doves in cages… The lyric is “You’re the cage to my dove,” as in “You have captured my heart. My love belongs to you.” Please have INFORMED opinions, guys. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I don’t normally write bad reviews but… When a guy calls “WHAT IT FEELS LIKE” a “filler” song because he doesn’t realize the song before it lead right into it (“This could b us/but u don’t have time/4 me no more”), it is called back in the some “TIME” AND the line “This is what it feels like” is repeated at the end of the last song on Andy Allo’s album (Stars Collide, SUPERCONDUCTOR), I have to turn this off. No research, no facts, just opinion. “I don’t LIKE the slower R&B” so I don’t like AOA? What the hell. I feel like I can do a better job.

IceBurghGreat to revisit Prince’s Music with these super fansVery entertaining and thorough discussions of Prince and his music.

cittalenteExcellent podcast that changed how I hear PrinceI've been a Peach & Black listener for years. The incredible amount of attention they lavish on every song has taken my understanding of Prince's music much deeper. And the humor brings the whole thing together and makes it pure fun. These guys are here to ENJOY Prince and if you listen to Peach & Black, you'll enjoy it more too.
-
Gestureye7xBest Prince Podcast! One of the best podcasts to exist! Very informative and hilarious throughout! Each of them have a unique perspective which encourages you to listen to things you may have missed. Always engaging listens!
-
NPGTrekI Love ItThis podcast is purple, peach and black great
-
PRNThe best...and simply the most intelligent commentary about our Dearly Beloved, Prince. 4 guys, at least one among them who is a musician, who know their stuff. If you're not listening - why not?
-
KainefuOne of the best Prince pods!If you're an old Purple head or new to the P Army this is a great pod for you. Give them a try.

TechDDigital babies trying to rate Analog musicFirst off, I am over 50 and from Detroit. I have been a Prince fan since day one. The Electrifying Mojo broke ALL of Prince’s Albums (yes he would play entire Albums on the radio). So from my point of view some of the opinions are intelligent and well thought out, but then they will say something totally stupid about the sound or sentiment without any hint of research or reflection in the context of the time period. To really appreciate the sound they should get a record player and play the vinyl. I appreciate what they are trying to do, but you need to have a deeper listen of the material to entertain the real Analog Adults out here.

Jeff SherinGreat Prince funSo glad I found this. Keep doin' what you doin'! Thoughtful, funny Prince conversation.
-
Tyrone JonesAbsolutely BrilliantPrince is my favorite musician of all time and the only person I can talk to deeply about the man is my brother. When I listened to this podcast for the first time, they were talking about a certain line and I said to myself, "That reminds me of ANOTHER song, but there's no way they know it..." And then they brought it up! These guys are seriously amazing. This is an essential for any serious Prince fan!
-
Chris LacyThe Go-To Podcast for Prince Fans!Problem: Not very many 20-something-year-olds are Prince enthusiasts like me. Solution: Subscribe to this podcast filled with insightful Prince commentary by MC, Captain, Playa and Toejam.
-
ChestVeegLove themThese are great Prince podcast
-
Jevon729Interesting...I enjoy listening to these guys for the most part. MC is a complete IDIOT! I usually disagree with Captains' reviews, and aside from Player these guys seem to be almost children who didn't even know who Prince was before the 90's. Toe Jam seems to be musically aware and all of them keep the laughs coming. It just annoys me when they comment on what Prince looks like or what he's wearing. ITS ABOUT THE MUSIC!
-
Gryphon85good, but....This is a pretty good podcast, but it would be better if they policed themselves. The problem is that the shows are just TOO long. The Gold Experience was 2.5 hours. Each Emancipation review was at least 90 minutes. Cut each show down to an hour and it would be more digestible and listenable. People like to enjoy a good show during a workout or commute. These shows require multiple times to get through one episode, which is no fun.

funkyfiedMy New MatesAn Aussie abroad myself and Prince fan of 30 years. These guys are doing a great job and know their stuff. I don't agree with everything but their mix of viewpoints and chemistry, wit and obvious friendship make the stories, the reviews, the antics and the dreams of passion all the more revealing and compelling to listen to. Keep it going as long as you can fellas and congrats on the Prince meet up and nice job on deconstructing and reliving all the tracks that mean so very much to us fams. I hope to hear many many more and can't wait for Lovesexy. Funkylust.

sadlerjrA JoyFANtastik Pcast (PrinceCast) hahahhahha. Seriously, Keep it up. Love it.

melgeoLove the enthusiasm, wish it was more accurate.I just discovered this podcast and find it really charming. As a decades-long Prince fan, I really appreciate how they "geek" out about the smallest things (I do the same). I'm a little annoyed at how they play fast and loose with the history of these songs, and seem to make erroneous assumptions about the origins and intent of the music, and Prince in general, when there are often well documented facts that say otherwise. Overall, I'm enjoying it and have told several "Prince-heads" to check it out.
-
Nikki1984Great RompThis a more than worthy of your time if your a fan of the Purple One. Four lads break down the works of the greatest musician of our day. There's great chemistry...insight...and even laughs. I'm looking forward to future episodes. To nitpick... this show is not as well researched as others and the hosts' political and/or religious views are often more than implied. Ugh.
-
salukaGreat job!I used to listen to the Prince Podcast, but now I listen to this one. No fee and great commentary! Love it!
-
podcastjunkie2Pretty decent but overall sound quality could be better. This is pretty good for a podcast somewhat but .... seems like at least one guy could have a better mic. I keep waiting on him to improve it but it doesn't happen. Haven't heard enough shows to know his name by hard yet. Good show but sound could improve.

dsfsdfafFour Prince fans discuss the MusicI am really enjoying the podcast. It is always great to hear people get psyched about P songs that I may have slept on. The participants have an excellent knowledge of both music and the music of Prince. Spend an hour with these guys and you will learn something, but, really, this is "just a podcast".
