Oh boy I could listen to Ryan Scott all day. Other Ryan needs to expand his knowledge base and not speak about anything but comics.The surety that he speaks with, despite his ignorance is amazing .

Between Ryan Scott’s “I formed an opinion 30 years ago and nothing can change it” and Higgins’ “I haven’t seen this and maybe never will, but here’s all the reasons it’s terrible”, the show has become hard to listen to.

Well this will be my last episode. I just heard they talk about a trip to italy for 30 minutes. What does any of that have to with the geakbox? You complain about about being turned off by BG3, the years most popular game, but yet neither of you have played it. You complain when a game doesn’t add new mechanics or gameplay features, then you get salty about final fantasy 16 being different. You complain about movies that people clearly enjoy like DnD, Maybe you guys should just stop playing games and watching movies, since you have no idea how to enjoy anything.

The fear of these people is insane. So scarred. RH destroyed his immune system and then wonders why so sick….Used to really enjoy the show, but it has gone so far downhill. I am done. The unintelligent political babbling is just gross. People that have barely been out of their home state talking about international news. Here is an idea: Someday actually travel to Egypt and then you may have a informed opinion and understanding.

The number 2 guy leans far left. Main guy seems reasonable. Love the gaming discussions, loathe the politics. No other option but to skip, 15 mins later it’s back to games. Again, solid on that front.

Coincidentally I started a job that allowed me to listen to podcasts and found this one when it just started. So many good episodes and laughs. Adam has always been one of my favorites. Special shout-out to 1up.

Ryan Scott wears a wizard cap when it comes to all things gaming (especially classic games)....but I’m afraid he glues on a dunce cap when it comes to political commentary. I wish they knew what facism really meant.

I love the podcast but you have to check the show notes before listening. If Adam is on get ready to press the skip button frequently as he barely moves conversations foreword as the other hosts try to reign him in from talking over everyone else while doing terrible accents that he prides himself on. He seems like a nice guy but the constant interrupting gets frustrating.

Nearly all the negative reviews for this show are for the same reason, political talk, and they couldn’t be more correct. When they stick to the roots of the show it’s great and very informative but now they can’t seem to go a week without Trump talk. People listen for escapism from the stresses of life, not to hear about politics. Stick to your strong suits. Unfortunately it’s only gotten progressively worse since the first few comments about this so I doubt they even care about listener input.

This group of video game insiders provide great insights on gaming, movies, comic books, etc. I listened to the podcast for years (even when it was just Ryan and Ryan talking to each other). While somewhat entertaining, I really enjoyed the inside baseball from this group. Once they get out of Geek Box stuff, this podcast gets off the rails which was frustrating to me. In the last year they have become an echo-chamber of close mindedness. The move into business and politics showed a substantial lack of awareness. That isn’t your specialty. The dismissive attitude of the podcast finally made me in-subscribe and stop financially supporting this group.

This is just one of many gaming podcasts that chose to inject thier political views into a gaming-centric show. I listen to a lot of podcasts, and do so in part to get away from modern toxic political discourse. If you are a liberal, you'll probably love it. However, if you are an objective independent thinker, save yourself some time and pass on this agenda driven show.

I love getting my all-things-geek fix in one podcast. These boys will give you their thoughts and experiences and do it in an in depth discussion. it’s like a chill conversation at a comic shop vibe. all around fun show with guys you know are kind and compassionate humans and always try to be thoughtful of what they express.

If you’ve never listened to a episode of The Geekbox, I highly recommend giving it a shot. Ryan Scott hosts this podcast and brings incredible insight on retro gaming as well as a great perspective on the direction of the gaming industry. His opinions of the direction the industry is moving a valued and while I don’t agree with him 100% of the time, I really enjoy his take. The other guests also have varying backgrounds in gaming (mostly in press) and bring a good contrasting presence. Some of them don’t have a lot of time to keep up with current games as much as they’d like, but they do bring their perspectives and personalities each week. One thing I’d like them to improve on his just the structure of how each episode is presented. That being said, they do keep a good list of current releases and events on their topic list. I really enjoy Ryan’s podcast and hope it runs for a long time. Keep up the good work!

Terrible sound quality from some of the guys speaking, they constantly argue about everything and it's just overall a lame podcast. Didn't really interest me much.

I have to say I started listening to this because of Ryan Scott, but after listening to 400 I realized it was because of the larger 1up family. The show isn't bad, but Greg did add a lot...so did Karen. Get Anthony on the show... you all need a revamp.

It's a decent enough podcast, my only "personal" issue with the show is Ryan Higgins. He seems to be painfully wrong about something in every single episode of this show and worst he's confident in his inaccuracies. I'm sure he's very nice in real life but I'll admit he's the one reason I'm not a consistent listener anymore. Every single episode I'm saying "No Higgins... wrong"

I'm glad there is at least one person that is relatable in this podcast, that isn't afraid of saying he enjoys ecchi anime art style games. Aside from that, wonderful podcast with hosts with broad personalities, even if one of its members just might be a robot.

I last reviewed this podcast on Apr 19, 2011. I like this podcast enough to rate and review it on iTunes, even though I don't use iTunes. That's how much I like it.

It's my favorite podcast. It's really just something about their dynamic as a group, and the fact that they all work from different sides of nerd culture. One owns a comic book store, three are or were editors of different large game websites, one works at a video game company. I just really enjoy it and look forward to it every week.

Has this turned into the SJW hour? The last two weeks with this stuff now, I know my comments going to lump me into some generalized group of hateful people, which I'm not, but I don't listen to this show for your politics.

The show is consistently fun to listen to with great cast dynamic and a broad range of topics. The main attraction is whether Ryan Scott, Higgins, or Fitch will have the most hilariously wrong opinion of the week. Happy that Alice Liang is back on the show since it has been way too long without a woman as regular member of the cast. Fans of the Comedy Button should listen to find out what Ryan's speaking voice actually sounds like. My only complaint is that lately the game talk has focused exclusively on the 3DS, and maybe the cast should try some broader game experiences to talk about on the show.

Rolling into an ad literally in the middle of a sentence or conversation is absurdly disjointing. Dealing with Fitch's rambling derailments is one thing but the ads are just too much. There are other podcasts to listen to.

Love this podcast. Every week I laugh out loud. Great cast of people with great interactions with each other. Could be my favorite podcast.

My drive home Wednesdays nights is much improved thanks to The Geekbox. I've been listening to it for over 2 years now and out of the many podcasts I listen to regularly it's among my favorites.

Interesting hosts cover topics in a personable down to earth way.

I hung in as long as I could, but listening to Adam Fitch talk is like listening to nails on a chalkboard and silverware on china at the same time. If you want to hear a good geek podcast, only download episodes of the Geekbox he's not on...those are usually great.

I see a lot of reviewers are knocking this show for being so random with it's topics and talking points, but I can appreciate these sort of ramblings. In a way, it's introspective of the way my own geeky mind works- all random bits and pieces of useless information. Anyone who understands where I'm coming from should check out the podcast I cohost, Dudes in a Room, on iTunes.

These guys have obvious passion, and really can go in-depth on topics. However, spoilers for various things fly fast and furious at times with little regard.

The comic store guy is an idiot though. Don't waste your time, comedy button is much better.

Higgins is always wrong and angrily defends his opinions. Fitch has ummm a th..thing that he um wait what he he he has prob prob troubles talking about things and he gets lo los umm lost I guess I'm saying that he s.s.s.s.stutters and can barely put a coherent sentence together.

A podcast where geek culture hates on geek culture and makes broad generalizations without the need to justify its claims, hosted by stereotypes. Also, spoils the plot of everything with no warning, just a sarcarstic "Oh, spoilers" as an apology. There are better podcasts.

I love this podcast and I appriciate the countless hours of time these guys and gals have helped be pass. So yeah! keep doing yo thang

This podcast is great.

I listen to around 10 podcasts each week and never look forward to a new episode of the Geekbox. Yet I cant explain why I listen. I enjoy Andrew's weird banters and whatever female guest is on but Ryan Scott's just a downer. Really felt terrible about Karen Chu leaving she was always a welcome guest. I hope Olivia Jane becomes a regular.

Where in they discuss. Personal issues, jokes only relevant to them and sometimes game reviews all through a mouth full of food, drink and phlegm. There are video game podcasts that dive in and teach things and then there are ones like this that just coast on the surface. Nothing of substance here.

Serviceable podcast that can have interesting opinions on assorted media topics but is ultimately brought down by the generally incoherent stuttering/stammering of one of the hosts (Adam Fitch) accompanied by tantrums and condescending tones of said host. If you can manage to drown him out, there is potential here.

Love the show. Keep up the great work.

I work at a foundry 10 hour days 6 days a week I happen to stumble on this podcast just trying to listen to something to keep my awake while I work. I dont always agree with some of the movie reviews (but everyone is entitled to there opinion ) and I'm not mutch of an RPG gamer or even much of a gamer at all but I love listening to the banter between everybody on the show. I've gone back to the first episodes of the show that are available and love all them that I've heard! Keep up the good work ! Thanks for making my work days go by much faster!

I dont know many people who enjoy others eating in their ears..but these guys seem to not know how rude and annoying it is.its too bad ..cuz its a good entertaining podcast.Well guys it was fun ..but im out..good luck
