    I’m In Awe Of Terry!
I am a 68 year old Mets fan although honestly I didn’t follow baseball until 1984. My mom was a Brooklyn Dodgers fan and gave up baseball entirely when they left NYC (the year I was born alas). But then came Gooden and Strawberry and then Carter and Hernandez and Darling and then the World Series! I was hooked. My best memories are of the great teams with David Wright and the players with him, and also the teams that Terry managed… Wouldn’t it be fabulous to have a young roster of pitchers who regularly go 7 or 8 innings and dominate the batters again? And batters who can bunt and hit and run and steal bases on a regular basis (think Reyes for stealing bases). All of these memories remind me of my age, and THEN I listen to Terry Collins! If I didn’t know better I would think he is ready to go out and manage or even play… The energy and passion for baseball and knowledge plus experience that Terry has is what makes me love hearing him. Like baseball he makes me feel young and realize that while change is a part of life as well as baseball; decency and a sense of humor and insight and sharing with others and caring about others will always be the sign of a great human being. That’s why I am in awe of Terry Collins. The podcast is great and I wish Terry and everyone involved the very best!

    2015 and 86 feel in a way
Hi Terry, my name is Gavin. How are you? I enjoy your podcast! I am a young listener. Do you miss managing or no? My favorite Mets managers since I have been alive have been you and Buck. Mendoza is alright but I got some questions with him sometimes. He’s not horrible but he’s okay. If he can clean up his mistakes and if they keep winning not just this year but in the future then I’ll like him more. What was it like to manage David Wright? David is my all time favorite! I met him a few years ago! David should be in the Hall of Fame! I am attending college right now to become a sports broadcaster. Hopefully while I am at college I can possibly start a podcast and I would like to have you on. Hopefully I can have David on too. I really enjoyed his book! My favorite book of all time! The three of us bleed blue and orange. In 1986 and in 2015 both of those teams faced adversity when it came to the playoffs. The 2015 team really faced adversity because I remember watching those games in May and June and a lot of people thought that you guys were out of it. WFAN was blasting the Mets everyday. I will never forget the Nats series when things changed that year. Cespedes really helped. There were a few times when I said that this team has what it takes to make the playoffs. When Wilmer hit the walk off home run, when Granderson, Murph and Duda went deep against Zimmerman on Sunday night baseball, when Uribe hit the walk off double, when Cespedes and Kirk hit those two big bombs in Washington in September and finally when David came back and hit that home run in Philly and when he scored in Washington in September and did that big fist pump to everybody I said to myself that we are this division! Both teams dealt with adversity! Look at this years team, they started 0-5 and out of all things a McDonald’s character by the name of Grimace made this team good again. OMG! Stearns was not overly committed to buying at the deadline too. As the great David Wright once said “let’s go beat LA!” Hopefully you’ll read this review Terry! Let’s go win it all!! Let’s go Mets!!

    Good old school baseball podcast
Informative interviews. Some friendly constructive criticism- I would suggest to stop interrupting and cutting off the guests and just let them talk.

The best Mets podcast? Could be!
I listen to a ton of Mets podcasts, and can’t think of one I look forward to more. Legendary guests, and you couldn’t ask for better, more knowledgable, and more straight-shooting hosts than TC and John Arezzi. Great stuff!
