Ahdjahhdiahbdhzggagfrefreshingthank you for existing Never Post! You are helping the Internet seem a little bit weirder and smaller, something I need.

Jamon HolmgrenNot quite what I wantedHad high hopes but it’s just another political show. Fine if you’re into that but I wanted what it promised on the cover.

modotrobotVery, very, good.I am two episodes in and I already know that I am going to make time to catch up and look forward to the newest ep to drop. This is achievable because it’s a bimonthly podcast and there is only thirteen episodes so far. That said, I don’t think you need to play from the start. If you see a topic covered you like or are interested, listen to that one. I can guarantee an intelligent (but accessible), sincere (but sometimes humorous), discussion of the topic that you can start and finish on your average lunch break. Each ep has two stories/topics and they really make you about the influence (and sometimes lack of influence) of the internet in all its forms. I highly recommend, especially if you liked anything Mike Rugnetta has been involved with or shows like Radiolab. To steal from Joe Bob Briggs, ‘Five stars. Chris says check it out.’

CuriouserCatSo glad I listened!I love this crew, and this refreshing and thoughtful show and hope it can continue for a long time yet. Never post, but if you must post, may those posts be as good as an episode of Neverpost. That is to say stimulating, good humored, and thoughtful. Can’t recommend enough!

ThomasSixtenThe Best Source For New Local To The InternetThis podcast is a lovely look into topics, ideas, and viewpoints I would otherwise have missed. It’s a delightful break from doomscrolling.

AkruzuzuHere’s an idea: Media Media for Digit DiversQuality show about all the stuff that happens because of the internet and everything that happens in order to make the internet happen. It’s like Car Talk or This American Life, but instead of talking about the whirring and buzzing in your vintage Studebaker or the whimsical ennui wrought by the de-industrialization of your town or city, it’s like looking at yourself from the other side of the screen while you’re doom-scrolling, post-composing, liking, tweeting, ticking-and-tocking, followed by the vacuous flutter in the quiet air after you’re done…and you contemplate the fact that you haven’t logged out of anything for more than a decade. Nice to know they get it, and that there’s more to it. Talk tech to me, team. It’s really good.

PorcupineSchoolSmart, funny, originalNever Post is a great show about the internet and how it shapes our lives in big and small ways. They’re not chasing the latest viral sensations, instead they dig deep and find really interesting stories and angles.

NoraSpaceAceMy new 99% InvisibleI used to watch Mike Rugnetta's PBS online show, so I was delightfully surprised to recognize his name in a Garbage Day newsletter! Figured I'd give the podcast a try, and everything I like! Informative, nuanced, space for humor as well. Thoughtful, and the hosts and guests truly care about their topics. It's kinda like 99PI but about the internet. And no ads for giant oil companies or AI devices.

ThisIsBenSilverThoughtful, unpretentious, analysis of real world and internet cultureNever Post is honestly a breath of fresh air. They analyze the intersections of internet and “real life” culture in a way that is profoundly thoughtful, but not pretentious. They also do a fantastic job of making the content understandable when a concept or terminology might be new to you. As far as pacing and tone, it actually reminds me a lot of Mr. Rogers. It’s really calm and deliberate. They also maintain a consistent speed, so if you listen to your podcasts sped up there aren’t random sections that become too fast because the host started speaking quickly. Plus it has a really broad and diverse set of hosts. The content is consistently high quality and brings in many voices without feeling disjointed. It may be a new podcast… but I’ve followed several of the hosts for years and Never Post hits the high bars they’ve set on mediums like YouTube. I have one final thought to add- Cultural and media literacy are so important, but critical thinking seems rarer and rarer by the day. It’s kind of strange to say… but the Never Post hosts are essentially professional thinkers. And they lead by example, which subtly encourages you to think more critically in the world. Listening to their thoughtful insights often makes me think about other things in different ways- sort of like how hanging out musicians might change the way you think about music. Oh and it’s independently produced! A+

Caleb AlexanderExcellent Stories, Exciting TeamNever Post continues the excellent work of Mike Rugnetta (PBS Idea Channel, Fun City/Float City) while introducing an expanded team of top notch internet culture reporters. The team brings critical voices and interesting stories to the front. The letters episode also highlights that the team is very responsive to their audience. This is a show to keep an eye on and enjoy all along the way.

PatedechouxSocial studies for the terminally onlineExcellent balance of micro and macro cultural analysis. This podcast was made for overthinkers. Self deprecating in a validating way. Excited to see where this goes.

Kc7362The kind of conversations I’m looking for!If you are as interested in zooming out on trending conversations as you are getting sucked into them, this is for you! This podcast covers the socio-cultural landscape of the internet today and both the inventive and flawed thinking behind the various trends it produces--as told by individuals in the trenches. It’s smart

Mad world 7La CremaThe coolest, smartest, and most interesting people on the internet doing what they do best.

TheyTookMyNicknameWahFixing a holeI was a ReplyAll junkie; I was a This American Life and Radiolab devotee from early on, but they’ve grown somewhat stale. When a new podcast hits this hard this early and feels already established while breaking new ground, I think they’re onto something. Finger on the pulse, laughs are there, content is fascinating. I’m happy to be in on the ground floor (but sad I can’t binge a back catalogue). I would only recommend this to cool people.

KypDuronUnique takes on modern lifePutting a thoughtful pin in a lot of the things that a lot of us live through every day. Also like the somewhat eerie production flourishes. Gives it a different sound than a lot of other pods.

Rob Kimball in BostonGreat conversations on all things InternetSuch a good listen. Interesting topics, the right mix of expert voices, well paced and produced. Can’t wait to see where they take it next, strong recommend!

rheumatictangleI absolutely love this show, but that’s probably not surprisingSo I would like to leave a review for the folks who work on Never Post who are NOT me: this is the kindest, most thoughtful, hardest working crew of folks in this corner of the podcasting world, and I think it shows. I am constantly impressed by the care they take, and I genuinely hope we get to make this weird, wonderful thing together for a long, long time.

Hollis HudsonAwesomeSo fun! A refreshing take on news.

Otter Pup’s papaWorth checking out! This show will keep you on your toes, so to speak, intellectually and aurally. One episode in, and I’ve already begun to think in new ways about things I thought I already knew all about, like Dr. Pepper.

ThineDouglasA love letter to the weird internetThis show was such a breath of fresh air. It is thoughtful and funny and creative in pleasant and unexpected ways and manages to be both a source of “oh I never thought of it that way before” and also “I’m so glad I’m not the only one who thinks this way about the internet.” I can’t wait for more episodes to come out.
