I like that this podcast is different. I love true crime but this is a fresh new spin on the full larger category. It’s an interesting and informative podcast and Delia delivers in an entertaining way. Thank you! Ready for the next season please :)

I enjoyed Dark Arenas more than I expected. It was I retesting to hear all of the different dark jobs and how people love these jobs.

Where did you go? I loved this podcast and was hoping to get a few more seasons. Please bring it back.

This podcast series is super insightful. You dive into various points of view from many of the people who help bring justice to grieving families. And of course, Delia does an amazing job presenting this.

Fascinating podcast that asks about the people often on the periphery of true crime investigation and their often strange, often traumatic work. I love the amount of detail that goes into the description of everything, and the practical questions asked. Yet again, D’Ambra serves to further and elevate the true crime genre.

So interesting, insightful and well done!

I greatly enjoyed the subject matter and show. However, I feel like the show could benefit from more dialogue from the content expert than the host. it feels like it’s a 70/30 host/subject expert ratio. All in all still a good show.

This is one of the most interesting podcast series I’ve listened to. I would highly recommend.

This was a great change up for my podcast listening cycles. I LOVE getting my fix of true crime, but this series is now one of my all time favorites. I loved learning about the details in which some of the darkest jobs are executed. It made me appreciate their work 10 times more. 20/10 recommend!!!

This is a really interesting show with a variety of professions interviewed. I feel like this is a pretty unique concept. It also helps get the perspective and insight on several professions in the true crime realm. I found the secret service episode especially interesting.

Interesting insight into the professions that support the capture of criminals and help bring closure to families. I do wish there were less personal observations about the look of someone or the office scenery (claustrophobic office plants?!) and more time/questions devoted to the interviewees, making the episodes longer. Overall good 1st season.

I’m am so intrigued and fascinated by the way people who have these types of jobs work. I’m so in awe that they are so willing to sacrifice so much- mentally and emotionally which am sure beyond anyone’s imagination, the things they see day in and day out. I am so very grateful for their service and dedication in our community and country.

This show is okay and covers interesting jobs and people but it could be so much better. These “interviews” are all the same. She doesn’t ask interesting questions and the interviews are surface level. Great idea for a podcast, it could just be executed better.

Really appreciate what the shows trying to do but I agree with the other people who scored on the low markings. Some areas of improvement would certainly be less drama since this is more of a learning platform. It’s not a true crime podcast. It’s more process oriented. So the flare that’s added into the other shows it’s just distracting, and to be honest kind of annoying. Another area of improvement would also be less description of the environment, and certainly much kinder writing towards those who are being interviewed. Just letting you know if I were interviewed and then some of the judgmental language was used about me. I would think that would be incredibly harmful for your reputation and anyone wanting to interview or do work with you, so I would be mindful of that moving forward. Otherwise, I think the intent is great and I hope that you listen to criticism and improve upon it.

I am amazed that it is NORMAL people who are doing these Extraordinary Jobs, the information is delivered in a calm concise manner, you walk away with a new understanding of the agencies that protect us…I Love this Podcast.

Audio chuck has done it again! Such a fascinating series!

Big PP fan but too much melodrama in both the writing style and the background music. The host ones off as judgmental (“the guy was bad at small talk”) and describes her surroundings when they add nothing of substance to the story. Just not as engaging as the others.

I love this season! I binged the entire thing. Keep the amazing episodes coming.

the professionals brought on were great, great interviewing, easy listen, and always interesting

I really enjoyed the idea behind this show. Stepping into areas that the public doesn’t necessarily think about it even know about but that are vital to the safety of everyone. I really loved hearing directly from the experts as well. I hope there is a season two for sure. My only critique would be that I would love for season two to have more women experts interviewed but as a whole the series was great and I learned a lot of valuable information.

Learning all kinds of stuff I’ve always wondered about. I wish the season were longer! Hope there will be more…

Just when I think Delia can’t top her last amazing series, she proves me wrong. I absolutely enjoyed every episode and think that everyone should have this information! There is so much to learn about some of the unspoken jobs people do everyday. Great job per usual, audiochuck!

This series is by far the best to come from audiochuck. Delia D’Ambra is absolutely amazing. Loved her on Counter Clock and Park Predators. She is the ultimate writer and investigator. Her interviews are well thought out and poignant. Maybe someday we will see her in the FBI. 😄

I enjoy all of Delia’s shows. She has a pleasant voice and is an excellent storyteller and reporter. This is a unique podcast as it delves into the “dark” careers that people choose and their experiences both personally and professionally. I am definitely looking forward to season two.

Not one to write reviews but my goodness this podcast is so well done. Also as someone whose childhood friends lost their parents on 9/11, I really valued that one episode it was spoken about. But seriously, every episode was incredible, and I agree that Delia should be in the FBI. Well done!
