Deadly Faith is a true crime podcast that explores the world where religion and crime collide. The world in which some people take their religious beliefs a tad too far. Maybe they hide their evil behind their 'Man of God' persona. Maybe they start a cult, commit murder, or even believe they're the second coming of Jesus Christ himself. It's not a world full of sunshine and rainbows, but it's a world that needs to be explored. That's where Laci and Lola come in.     Interesting subject matter, wildly disrespectful hosts
    Seriously, you’re talking about people’s violent deaths, and often religious extremism. Can you at least TRY to take the subject matter seriously? I can’t imagine being someone who loved one of the victims involved and listening to these hosts gigglesnort their way through their recounting of how my friend or relative died. The cases are very interesting and I appreciate learning about the religion angle, but the delivery is extremely off putting.

    I haven’t seen Ed Gein’s story from this point of view and it makes perfect sense. I have some Ed Gein adjacent stories but since I’m not on any social media and there’s no contact information I haven’t been able to share them here or anywhere else. Contact information like an email address would be helpful.

    Loudly uninformed
    It’s a cool idea for a podcast, and I somewhat liked it. But I just keep thinking how loudly uninformed they are. The Anthony Todt episode - they are so insistent that no one could ever overdose on Benadryl. Which is very, very wrong. The same episode, they blatantly do not understand the Christian Apocalypse. Do they do any research on their own topics?

    I enjoyed the pod. Not my normal subject matter but really enjoyed the conversational manner and honest reactions. Looking forward to more. Your #0 intro pod was also a good hook. I have lots in common with both of y’all.

    Love the theme!
    These two have found a great niche in a very competitive genre. I love that this includes the hypocrisy of religious people getting caught behaving horribly. They have a style that is fun and easy to listen. The stories flow well and are thoughtful. They tell them in a way that feels like two friends sharing stories over coffee, ice tea, or an adult drink.

    Needed
    In a time when illiberal religious forces seem intent on persecuting us and ending our liberty, this is an essential part of the antidote. Religion causes GREAT harm, but no one wants to talk about it. These crimes are just one aspect of the harm religion can do, but for fans of true crime, and rationality, what could be better than this?
