The Footy with Broden Kelly is a weekly podcast presented by Aunty Donna’s coolest, most salt of the earth member, Broden Kelly. This is a weekly show that covers footy, the weird topics happening around the footy, and stranger, stupider, more pointless points of discussion in the footy world. With absolutely zero footy talent and even less expertise, Kelly and his mate Tom chat about the weekly happenings of footy from outside the inner sanctum. With regular guests from the comedy world, this pod aims to be a home for the alternative footy fan.

Instant fan

Just tuned in because the pod came up on my feed and I’ve heard Broden on the Deebrief. I’ve also been looking for a general footy pod because let’s face it the Dees podcasts aren’t going to be a fun listen for a while. Then all of a sudden these guys are rapping about the weekend of footy and it turns out Broden is not only a Dees fan but also a Sixers fan (my two primary sporting teams). Naturally I am an instant convert, amazing stuff, 10/10 no notes.

Loving Footy in the US

Started listening because I like Aunty Donna. However it is a very different podcast. Thanks to Broden and Tom I have become a diehard Footy fan. The show is funny and sometimes informative. The thing that comes through is the love of Footy and it is contagious. Broden, Tom and Marn’s bounce that pill!

Best AFL Pod for an American (or anyone)

Awesome

Came from the Netflix via Aunty Donna. Have literally never seen a game of Australian Football, but listen to every single episode of this show religiously. Gonna try to get streaming going from the States. Tom has convinced me to support Gold Coast with his constant upbeat attitude about the team. Love it!

Great Stuff.

Being the most athletically inclined member of Aunty Donna, Broden was a natural choice for Broden’s podcast about footy. Lovely production. I like to pair my listening with a good mid level sort of whisky, something just kinda whatever, kinda crushable, something like Johnnie Walker Blue. You’ll find that, as you get older, you will appreciate sports podcasts like this one more.
