zackowacko360Life ChangingYo be totally honest with you man, I’ve been seeing your YouTube videos pop up for a nearly a year now but I would always neglect to click on them because of how well groomed your beard and hair are.😅 I would assume that no one who takes that much care of their appearance could be deep, understanding, compassionate or empathetic. I thought you were trying to come off as sigma male or something that’s all about defeating the opposition, victory, power, stoicism and assertiveness, toxic things that those in my immediate, seemingly inescapable circle seem to be obsessed with and worship to the degree of being labeled narcissistic psychopaths. But I remember clicking on one video a year ago for some reason, (likely the title) and it floored every other psych vid I’ve ever seen. That’s feels like an over exaggeration, but I logically don’t think it is. I still remember the thoughts I had while watching despite forgetting the title. Don’t take this the wrong way, but the way you empathize and really get to the bottom of the hole, literally echoing many of my own thoughts, (and hopefully others) gives the impression of you being someone that DOESNT look like you.🤣I’m aware my own “backstory” is the cause of that extreme view of a well kept beard and hair after listening to some episodes in this podcast though. Having some understanding about myself is really helping me focus on the right problems with my therapist and is preventing me from minimizing everything and not talking about those issues with him. I greatly appreciate what you’re doing. Please keep releasing more episodes! And I probably actually am gonna buy your book.

FmrFiremanMental Health You Can UnderstandI just went back and listened to the episode on 2/5/23. Recently, in the past couple of months I have been told by my therapist that she just doesn’t know what else there is to try, that we’ve tried just about everything. The moment she said that, nothing else she said even remotely connected with me. It killed me. It still does kill me inside thinking about it. Listening to this podcast and specifically the episode on 2/6/23 I think is a huge turning point for me. There is hope. I haven’t tried everything. Today I just changed therapist and will see how it goes. Thank you Dr. Scott

Arsenal fan 87Great pod, too many adsI love the podcast but I find it really annoying that In a 15 min podcast you have 4-6 ad breaks. It makes it hard to stay in it and focused. I think a longer ad break less frequently would be a better solution. That is just my opinion, might be the only one but thought I would share.

gentlemen's pockyVery sincere, helpful, practical and insightfulSuch a good series with very clear applicable wisdom and techniques. No clickbait, no courses/ classes/ trainings or other expensive upper level content being pushed. This is the kind of podcast you wish other psychology podcasts were like, but it definitely speaks to a specific type of person and isn’t trying to be a general audience podcast , which is why it is so helpful to the people who click with it.

mellsbells12My favorite podcastThis podcast has seriously saved my mental health these past few weeks! It’s been a heavy season of life and I needed to hear these words. Dr. Scott has a way of explaining things that make sense and you can tell he actually gets it. He’s been through it, and I can tell he genuinely wants to help people feel better. He has a gift.

LizGarrWe can ask questions!?Scott, thank you so much for continuing to produce content that is so informative and validating. You have given me a deep perspective on the type of therapy I and many of us need. I’m encouraged by your passion to do the right thing the right way. Also, we can ask our therapist personal questions!? That feels so taboo! 😳 I am not sure why I feel that way, but man that is a refreshing thought. Thank you! Keep up the good work.

jattzlVery helpfulFor some reason hearing Dr Scott talking about what it’s like living with the pain of depression without sugar coating as someone who has experienced it is a rare validation and extremely helpful.

kurzykrySo Informative !I am so glad to have discovered this podcast. You speak so calmly and clearly. I appreciate that you go into such detail with the best intention and personally I’ve never experienced in my few brief times being with a psychiatrist and even therapist such knowledge you share and the proper terms given to things, Especially anhedonia you’ve completely taught me that along with many other terms ,but that one hits personal for me. Thank you so much for your work , time, and energy into sharing your knowledge.

Some1Special25Loving every bit of this! From his voice, his content, the friendly/real-world approach, his own experience, it’s all so good that I can’t really put into words. I’m new to podcasts n struggled to find something that clicked with me. So far, this is the only podcast I listened to every episode of. Every episode has great insight n positivity, so even when I’m not interested in a particular topic, I still listen to it and always find something helpful. I think this podcast is for anyone interested in learning about mental health.

KLT1990Amazing podcast! One of the few that can break down depression and anxiety in a way that anyone can understand. I not only apply it my clients but to myself as well. I would love a daily episode. Once a week is not enough hehe!! Keep them coming!
