I have been a listener since the very beginning, and the commercial brakes have gotten worse and worse. A while ago I started noticing that the timing of them was annoying, and really weird, often cutting off people in the middle of a thought. They are absolutely out of control now. I was maybe 10-15 minutes into the new episode and there were at least 3 to 4 30 second commercial breaks. Happening every couple of minutes! ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? This is completely ridiculous and unacceptable. NO other podcast I listen to does this, and I listen to podcasts from every genre imaginable. At first, I thought Rick was struggling because there also used to be a lot of weird transition noises, background noise, volume issues, etc and I figured he was struggling with it. But there’s no excuse for it at this point. This podcast has been on far too long to be making mistakes like this. I just unfollowed. I’m done. There are many other podcasts with the same topic/slant that actually know how to cut an ep without being extremely annoying. Everyone has to have ads, we get that. Pay someone to actually do this correctly, or if you already are, fire them, and find someone else. This is edited like a kid in grade school put it together. I was going to say a kid in high school, but I’m convinced they could do a far better job.

Rick, I felt a sense of relief from hearing this episode about Karoline Leavitt. I’ve long felt she is one of the most insidious of the Trump bad actors, and one of the most dangerous. Until today I hadn’t heard anyone take the time to explain why, especially someone with a platform as enormous and respected as yours. Love the new format.

Love the new format deep diving into “someone” who is actively destroying American Institutions and harming citizens! It’s Powerful!

Hi Rick, Love your shows! I’ve been with you since the beginning. Constructive criticism here: all of your podcasts (Lincoln Project, The List) are too quiet, especially since your ads are recorded at normal volume—which blow my eardrums out because I had the car radio volume turned VERY high to hear your voice over the road noise. I challenge you to listen for yourself and see what I mean. I only seem to have noticed this within the past few months. I rescind this criticism if I am the only one experiencing this, but your two podcasts are the only ones I have this trouble with. Thank you for your great work! God bless the USA. -Karl

I’m a lefty who loves Rick Wilson. This is a short tight pod with a good interview and a “rant” at the end. It’s new but, to me, there hasn’t been a bad episode yet. I’d be fine if it ran longer but for now it’s a great listen. But the ad breaks are so weird. One break in the middle with Rick doing a long ad read with a couple of shorties. Breaking right after a question is just lame.

I’ve listened for awhile and always appreciated Rick’s informed but blunt political and operational views; but his interviews with actual historians and with careful authors - like the show on the Who is Government book - are truly worthwhile (tasty spinach).

If Trump spends as much time thinking about Rick Wilson, as Rick Wilson spends time thinking about Trump.

…but the content is relevant and compelling here, too. Thanks, Rick!

Great concepts but I’m sorry to tell you that this fight is over. The Dems committed political suicide, they become a dirty diaper. It’s not all the Dems fault either. IQ factors in, and there is not much the Dems can do to raise MAGA IQs. There are more MAGAs than ever in this country. Furthermore, if you think Trump will not use emergency powers to cancel the 2026 mid-terms should the polls show MAGAs will lose the House you are out of your mind. There is noway Trump will allow the House to fall to the Dems. He ain’t making that mistake twice

I’m very appreciative of the content and information this podcast provides. I always appreciate Rick Wilson’s perspective and thoughtful questioning, as well as hearing what his guests have to say about the insanity that has taken over the US Federal Government. It’s not always comfortable to hear, but I appreciate their insight, as well as being better informed about what’s happening and where we go from here.

So many excellent guests but what I truly appreciate is the no nonsense analysis of the politics. Rick reminds us of his Republican credentials while expressing his dismay of what has happened to his party. Great podcast. I never miss an episode. I don't know if he can choose his advertisers but the one I heard today from Abercrombie, with the most expressionless delivery I've ever heard, should be thrown out.

Rick, I love you but I have ADHD. After the third commercial interruption I could literally no longer pay attention. Think of it like this - every time even neurotypical brains experience interruption in the flow of their thought process, it takes 20 minutes to recover to resume even an approximation of where the brain was prior to the incoming text or email or whatever. This is why we have an attention crisis in the United States today i.e., think about every time you’re smart, phone, vibrates or dings. I have ADHD and the frequent interruptions on your podcast today made it impossible for me to continue to think through the topic at hand when you and your guest were talking after that last commercial interruption. You were just loud voices in my head = end of today’s podcast for me. Possibly you could have fewer interruptions & longer multi commercial segments?

I love this gutsy, real podcast but it’s impossible to listen to lately because of so many interrupting ads that completely disrupt the flow and coherency of the show.
