Amazing! These two gentleman found one another and created an awesome podcast for all us Cluevians. I prefer the term Cluenatics but it’s been decided. Their tangents are top notch and the banter between the two is as refreshing and organic as can be expected. I love the wrestling bits and I don’t even like wrestling. Keep up the great work gentleman and I’ll see you both when Pic 6 starts. Also, am I the only one who doesn’t like the “flames on the side of my face” bit? Probably.

I’ve been a fan of Clue the movie for a long as I can remember, and this podcast has reinvigorated my love for this movie. The banter between you two is amazing! I can’t wait for your next collaboration.

I know, the show isn’t over. But I’m already so sad that it’s going to end. I found the podcast back in may, and have finally caught up burly listening to like 4 episodes a day at work. The word joy does not describe what this podcast brings me. I’ve been alone in my love for clue since I was a kid and I would watch my dad’s VHS copy of clue CONSTANTLY. That is probably thirteen or so years that I’ve gotten funny looks when I ask people if they’ve seen clue. I’m so happy that I’ve finally found my people! You two are great, keep the tangents, theories and great scott’s coming!

I am a Clue super fan. I’ve easily seen it 100 times, including twice at the theater in 1985 (endings 1 and 3). I would have gone for a third viewing with hopes for the 2nd ending, but I was 12 and couldn’t scrounge up enough money for another ticket before it disappeared from the theater!! I listened to 1/3 of the podcast episodes before weighing in here. I enjoy the banter and the hosts love for the movie, but I think a one minute breakdown may have been a lofty format choice. They have a hard time sticking to only what’s covered in the minute (as would anyone) and often the tangents overtake any discussion of Clue. I just finished the third episode in a row where there was more talk about the WWE than Clue, and one of those minutes included “the slap.” Having said all that, will I continue listening? Yes. I wish there was more Clue talk and less about My Cousin Vinny and ranking favorite rock bands, but I appreciate their enthusiasm for Clue and willingness to put a podcast (and movie) out there for superfans like me.

Love the podcast I’m on about episode 65. I’ve been binging it. I just wanted to share a couple connections I have with clue! When I was in middle school my cousins and we actually made our own Clue film. It was called the Black Glove. In our version a group of kids are playing the clue game and get sucked into it (we totally stole from Jumanji) and they become the Clue characters. Mrs. Peacock and Colonel Mustard are the killers. Ms. Scarlett was poisoned, Ms. White was stabbed and Professor Plum was strangled. We didn’t have Wadsworth. Also…. my bachelorette party was Clue themed! Everyone dressed up as different clue characters, I was Ms. White (but actually wore white) We did a little scavenger hunt etc. Anywho, I thought you would appreciate those tidbits! Clue has been my favorite movie ever since I was about six years old. I was so excited to see this podcast, and it truly is an excellent idea. However, I’ve listened to many episodes, and I’m really disappointed that they spend about 10% of the time actually talking about Clue and the rest of the time going down crazy rabbit holes. They go so far off-topic that I don’t even remember how we got there. The documentary was great, and this podcast could’ve been as well.

This has been my absolute favorite movie of all time since I was a kid. I love watching it time and time again and finding little things that I may have missed in my previous watching. This is the only movie where I would want to go minute by minute and go through what is happening and how it all turns out in the end. Thank you!

This is an amazing podcast. I am surprised at things I completely missed that they bring up and then equally surprised when they didn’t notice Wadsworth blocking the view of the kitchen. I am definitely going to try Traitors, but it makes me wonder if they ever watched Whodunnit? An ABC show from 2013. Kind of like Traitors meets And Then There We’re None.

Fairly new listener here but I’m hooked in a bad way!! I have loved Clue since watching it at a slumber party in 1987! I have changed some of passwords to reflect my “Cluevian” status! You guys do a phenomenal job at breaking down the minutes of the movie and relaying details!! I have bought the documentary, bought John Hack’s book and now listening to The Back to the Future podcast! Also subscribed to the Fletch podcast! Any fan of 80’s movies should be listening to this podcast!! Love the banter and stories!! Keep the episodes coming!!!!

As a child in Rhode Island, my family and I would play ‘Clue’ the board game every Saturday. Even at the age of 4, I understood and played the game well. When the movie came out, I was a mere 5 years old. When it finally came to TV, my parents videotaped it(I still have the well-worn VHS tape!) and I would watch it more times than I care to count. The dialogue is well-memorized, the songs and score emblazoned in my memory (‘Sh-Boom’ has, and will always be, my favorite song of all time), and my love and respect for- in my opinion- one of the most outstanding character actresses to ever grace the screen (Lesley Ann Warren) began (Madeline Kahn a very close second, along with Eileen Brennan). This podcast has continued and expanded my love and fanaticism for this film. Along with the elusive CD soundtrack, the children’s book (still in mint condition!), and the various other collectibles, I cherish this podcast as my weekly ‘Clue’ fix. From all the ‘Cluevians’, we thank you both for this excellent audio experience!

I found this podcast after i facebook promoted the documentary, and i am enjoying the minute by minute reviews. This has been my favorite movie since i was 5 and gets better every time a watch it. Thank you for having a place for us to dive into the details❤️

So nice to know other people love this movie to death like I do. Jeff and Brad do a great job discussing the movie in depth and filling in related banter in what could easily be a very unsustainable format. Thank you for feeding my current hyper fixation!

I have been listening to this show for several months now expecting the format to become unsustainable due to the cult nature of the film and the slow pace they give themselves (1 minute at a time) to go by. Every week I find myself pleasantly surprised by how much fun these guys are having doing the show and also how entertaining their banter is between each other! While they do sidetrack a lot they always bring it back around and their side tracks are always very entertaining and clearly always about something that they are passionate about. A couple of thoughts to add for you guys: First thing: There was one joke a little earlier in the film that you guys got stuck on and I think I can help clear it up. This was colonel mustards joke about Kipling. I think it’s worth revisiting because it’s maybe the most important/revealing line about who his character really is. Also, maybe his funniest joke in context? 1. When he says that he prefers Kipling and then quotes “the female of the species is more dangerous than the male.” This is a historical joke. The joke is that Kipling was famous for his poetry but colonel mustard is not quoting his poetry he is quoting the jungle book. I.E. trying to look intelligent when he really isn’t. 2. The jungle book is a children’s story. This also plays on the later joke when he says he “lost his mommy and daddy.” So they’re saying Colonel Mustard is mentally a child really 3. He likes the quote because it’s how he feels about women. Hence his later constant denials of knowing Ms. Scarlet and being somewhat in fear of her the whole movie until he is forced to come clean. 4. Kipling wrote a lot about war and soldiers and would have been very popular in the early 1900’s. So colonel mustard (who actually is in the armed forces, but we don’t yet know that in that part of the movie) is revealing that he actually has some military background. Second thing: Brad, you mentioned how well you can hear their footsteps earlier. I have always felt that the sound effects are really placed forward in the sound mix intentionally. My suspicion is that it’s because it’s 1954 and they want the movie to sound like a radio play. If you turn off the screen and just listen to the sound in this movie 90% of it still work’s/makes sense incredibly well. Jeff, in your interviews was this ever anything that came up or that you could confirm?

This podcast is the highlight of my Mondays. I love learning new details about my favourite movie, and both Brad and Jeff are full of amazing info about Clue. Leslie Ann Warren was an amazing get, and I’m hoping John Hatch returns at some point to get more of his takes on each minute. No matter what anyone says, nothing about this show is cringe. Keep up the great work guys! PS: in regards to which character would have which social media, Mr Green would have what’s called a Finsta (short for Fake Instagram), which is essentially a second Instagram page that’s designed for the general public, while your primary page is for close friends only. Since he’s the fake Mr Green, he’d have to have a finsta pretending to be the real Mr Green, so he could keep the act up

The hosts are delightful and (sorry guys) nerdy in the best way! I love the tangents - especially when they’re about Back To The Future!! This is a great podcast to listen to while doing “boring” things (driving, yard work, in the shower) - it’s not heavy material, but interesting! Also, I don’t think the first police officer is the one Watson called, because he was an off duty cop! :) I only wish these were more frequent than once a week - guess I’ll be listening for another full year+!!

Love this pod but they go on tangents that are ridiculously long considering these episodes are only 20 minutes. They spend half the ep talking about Clue and half talking about weird tangents. The Clue parts are awesome, but the other stuff is cringe

So happy I discovered this podcast! I was planning on finishing it before watching the documentary “Who Done It” but then, was super pumped this week, when I realized I hit the end of the new shows… meaning we still have 57 more shows to go! Absolutely brilliant commentary and insight into a movie that has been my favorite since 1986, when a 7 year old boy thought he was the only person who was obsessed with the masterpiece that is Clue, making him feel thoroughly un-American. Keep up the brilliant work!
