I’m really conflicted with this podcast. I appreciate the thoughtful interviews, but the most recent episode with the woman who had permanent sterilization was strange. Ruby was discussing workaround plans for the woman “in case she changed her mind”…!!! As young childfree women, we get enough of this unwarranted feedback in the world, and we don’t need to ingest more media saying so. Also several of the episodes feel like Ruby is looking to be validated in her choice not to have kids. As a 32 year old I’m looking more for other and older women who are as steadfast in their choice as I am- I’d love to hear about the life that would have been unlived had she had children. I pre-ordered the book and I’m hoping this interview does not reflect the tenor of the text.
