AG11423This podcast is not for everyoneIf you appreciate a blunt, tell it like it is approach, then you may find this podcast helpful. I think the app is great where Barry records all of the audio and has a much more calming, empathetic way with words. The two women who lead this podcast make great analogies and metaphors for handling anxiety and panic but it often feels like they are shouting at you or are dismissive of your feelings. This may be hard for someone who is in the middle of their struggle because there is a lack of compassion and empathy in the way they talk about handling and coping with anxiety. I found their audio to be more agitating to my anxiety and I always feel discouraged because they make sitting in your discomfort sound easier than it is. When you are in extreme distress and discomfort, it’s not easy to just ignore or go about living your life. They fail to capture and address how difficult and excruciating that is and I think you are better off working directly with a licensed practitioner, preferably a psychologist. If this podcast is helpful for others, that is wonderful, but I’d like to share the other side of that because it may not be helpful for everyone.

ALeighM☮️Eye-Opening and SO Helpful!I’ve struggled with overwhelming anxiety for years, but dealt with a serious setback back in April. The DARE app was a lifesaver at that time, but this podcast has provided me with plenty of “aha!” moments. Episode 49 has been the most helpful yet - the only podcast episode saved on my account! Thank you for all of your insight. 🙏

badmatherLife saverI was unable to eat or leave my apartment due to severe panic disorder. DARE made me feel less alone and brought me to a full recovery. I am forever grateful for this method and the DARE community. I hope others who suffer also find relief with these steps.

Body_ElevatedRDGreat contentThe content of this show is fantastic. I also subscribe to the app and find it very helpful with anxiety/panic attacks. My one criticism of this show (and I say this with all the love in my heart-not trying to be mean at all) is that one of the female hosts talks SUPER FAST and is very high strung. It is almost stress-inducing to hear her voice, which is not pleasant on a mental health podcast, you know?

fhfgrudThey’ll steal your money.Downloaded the app for a free 2 week trial. They offered me a free month in the middle of the free trial I was currently in and then charged me 65.99 once the two weeks was up. Had no idea it was going to work like that. They said they couldn’t give me a refund and gaslighted me into thinking it was my fault for not cancelling the 2 week trial when I thought I had been given an extra month. They’re scammers with the facade of helping people. Also I agree that one of podcasters is way too harsh in her delivery.

jnetheryLove the DARE approach, not the podcastI love the calm and relatable energy of both the book and the recordings in the DARE app, but was extremely disappointed by this podcast. Full of cursing and frantic rants, not exactly what you would expect from an anxiety recovery podcast. The manic energy of one of the hosts is awful.

court.ann13DARE is a must for anyone suffering from anxiety!DARE saved me when my anxiety had become unmanageable and was controlling my life! The book, app and Facebook group all helped me in finding the strength and confidence to overcome my fear of feelings. Before I learned about DARE I thought I’d never be able to overcome anxiety in a natural and lasting way. I’m so happy they now have a podcast!
