There are tons of different options when it comes to podcasts and several when it comes to Dave Matthews Band podcasts. But, The Pod that Jane Likes truly separates itself from the pack. There is such a diversity and variety of opinion present in the pod. No one wants to listen to an echo chamber with two people just agreeing with each other. With this podcast, you are definitely getting a bunch of different views in each episode. Shawn, Trisha, Jeanette and Matt all have unique and different takes and that is what makes this podcast so special. By the end of your first episode, you will be hooked! And you will have a personality or two you agree with more than the others. Every episode is unique and filled with exactly what a nerdy DMB fan wants to hear more about. There are episodes with album breakdowns, and some with setlist breakdowns and stats, and some previewing tours or reviewing performances during certain eras of DMB, and there are several episodes in which we hear about which experiences are DMB-fan must do’s. All of these are engaging discussions that leaving you wanting to chime in with your opinion! We truly get an insight into what DMB culture is all about with each episode and if you’re a DMB fan, you’ll relate to a lot of the experiences we hear about. You also may be inspired to travel or undergo more DMB experience, like I was after Deer Creek won the “best lawn” award on the pod! I can’t recommend this pod enough, 10/10 would subscribe!!

Great content! Last year at MSG when Susan Tedeschi and Dave covered The Weight was pretty iconic. Not sure if that was covered in the past, as I just started listening. You guys are spot on - The last few years at MSG are including iconic collabs. Hope ’25’ brings us a summer and fall tour which includes multiple liberations!

As a long time Fan, I am a nerd when it comes to the music of the Dave Matthews Band. Honestly, I do not think there are four better Nerds to discuss DMB than Matt Jeanette, Trisha, and Shawn. They are so fun to listen to because they all have different takes on the music and the band. When I listen to them dissect sets, I feel seen in my own nerdiness, then Shawn will slip in a crazy data point that blows your mind. Keep it up TPTJL! I thought I knew my fair share about DMB, but then Shawn and Matt start a thesis discussion on stats, Jeannette rebuttals and Trisha says “yes, but the slope-ability”. American Baby Intro was forgotten somewhere in the back of my brain until Trisha brought it up. It’s now on repeat. Ive been a Dave fan since my Aunt took me to my first show, in NJ, at 12yrs old. I am a Big fan of this podcast. My man Alex Brandt who breaks down shows on Tiktok gave them a shoutout and ive been listening since! The gang breaks down every show, every song with so much passion. I look forward to the new episodes on Thursday. Would love to hear them give their personal top 2/3 setlist’s of the Summer. The music of DMB has been the soundtrack of my life for the better part of the last 30 years. This podcast is the perfect companion to the band’s music and an absolute must listen if you’re a DMB fan. The love that the hosts -Trisha, Jeanette, Matt, and Shawn - have for the band is infectious and I especially enjoy their insightful album reviews which have helped me hear the songs with a fresh set of ears. I didn’t think it was possible to love this band more…but this podcast makes it possible. Thank you for this joy ride!

Guys! Sigh…Crash is my favorite album. I’m almost through the first segment and man…man! Tears, lots of, “Yes! Me too!” I haven’t listened to a lot of PTJL, but this has moved me so much. Just very well done. Your ability to define this album on a casual and also somewhat technical music level has been very moving to me. Shasta! The hosts have so much to say about our favorite band - it’s a joy to listen to! Their camaraderie is joyful and we appreciate their vulnerability while sharing their DMB experiences. To us, it’s so much more than the music, and these four embrace and highlight all things related to DMB.

Hey guys. I’ve really enjoyed the podcast up until the last episode. I feel this past episode is disrespectful to the band and to those who are not in the position such as the 4 of you to attend multiple shows each tour and on top of that to be in the pit. I think it is important to recognize that you are speaking from a point of privilege to be able to attend all the shows that you do and be in the pit or the occasional lawn seat. I would be extremely grateful to be able to go to multiple shows each tour if I could afford to or to be in the pit just once and I would not complain about how the summer tour has spilled over into the fall tour and you are concerned the band might just hang up their coats and be a legacy band. DMB is one of the hardest working bands ever. I think the band could call it quits anytime and they don’t need to be touring but they choose to continue to tour. Please realize how any band member would feel if they listened to this and maybe this is what Jeff is talking about when people are giving out negative energy and complaining. I’ve loved this band each time I’ve seen them and I never take that for granted nor do I ever complain about the set list or any cover song or how many times a song has been played or any set list stat. I truly enjoy this band and appreciate Dave as a human and his contribution to this world and the whole band. This is a talented group of musicians and I appreciate every song. Please re-think your approach and appreciate the band— a band that has been around for decades and continues to fill our hearts with joy and let’s us forget about all that’s going on in the world and enjoy the music.

I love hearing the different opinions about songs and performances. It’s a great way to come down from tour season. Topic Suggestions: A great topic would be seat positions. Is the rail always the best place to be? Is the pit worth it? How do regulars in the pit get those tickets all the time? Also, every show I’ve been to in the past 5 years has (continuous) talkers around me, unless I’m in the pit. Are fans confusing dmb shows with football games? One woman in Charlotte had a ring light on herself and filmed herself during the whole show. Seriously. Rude concert behavior do’s and don’ts might be a good topic.

Folks, I’ve been a DMB fan for a long time and can even tell the moment I became a fan. I caught this by accident but this was engaging, information I actually didn’t know, and fun. Well done. I actually played with a DMB tribute and perform four of their songs in my set lists, in addition to one of the bands I was a part of being compared to them. A huge part of my influences. So to hear this was truly a gift and I’m looking forward to your next one. Thank you all!

I’ve had the pleasure of a sneak preview and have to say I’m loving the chemistry and insight from the cast. I especially like to hear what Trisha has to say ; ). It’s cool each host is drastically different then the next so we’ll get the goods from all angles. One thing I found refreshing in this pod - each member gave space for the other to share rather than everyone competing to put their 2 cents in.
