PsychNP16Piano music is awful! The content is good! However, the piano music is jarring and very unpleasant to hear. It happens randomly too and makes me jump since it’s so much louder than the rest of the content. Please eliminate the piano music.
-
Anna76PTThank you Dr CarterYou have provided such amazing insight into my relationship. Thank you!! May God bless you!
-
Tashi AwesomeGood content but jarring announcement breaks!Bam! Very loud piano music at random intervals. Dr Carter, please respect your listeners by turning down the piano!
-
Robbie JeySelf validation and educationI am so grateful to hear in detail the characteristics described on both ends of the spectrum, the abuser and the victim. It gives me great insight into what my wife describes to me plus my own experiences. These last few episodes have literally made my stomach bubble up from resonating so much. Thank you!
-
JenTris4WaterThis is so helpful! Love it.The March 26th episode was spot on and exactly what I was going through. I absolutely loved that she asked the question “who’s getting stuck in these relationships”. That was so helpful to me. I hope that helps me in my future relationships.
-
hair62Thank youI feel that you have great guests, and truly are helping me feel better!
-
Nad McDonaldsPerfect but...Please take out the woman/producer talking on the bumpers with the squeaking voice. It’s horrible to have to hear over and over!
-
aishah 123Greta resourceI really feel the genuine nature of the host Dr Carter. Such a wonderful resource and gave me great insight into what covert narcissists are and his information is profound.
-
SlynnbryanHealingThis has gotten me through such a difficult time, just by filling my head with the knowledge. I could not be more grateful for this podcast. My only ask, is that Dr. Carter remove having children or grandchildren as being, “the most important thing” from his commentary. Some people do not have the ability to have children, and this makes us feel even worse. Otherwise, this is the best podcast I’ve ever heard in my life and has changed my thinking patterns.
-
KungfugeishaPlease master your audio!I would really like to listen to this show more but the editing and mastering are terrible. Loud music cuts in abruptly, the announcements are twice the volume as the content. It’s very jarring.

Hoda82aDr. Carter is on of the best!Listening to dr. Carter’s podcast is like going to university. He is describes narcissism and toxic personalities in every detail. He helped me tremendously is making sense of my narcissistic dad and all the other such personalities around me. I am so grateful to dr. Carter.
-
EmilyKoppThank you Dr CarterI stumbled upon Dr Carter’s podcast and am so thankful that I did. Highly recommend for anyone dealing with a difficult person in their lives. He is spot on in describing the behaviors, so it’s very validating. Most of all, I’m so thankful for the suggestions in what you can do as the person on the receiving end of these difficult behaviors. Priceless resource. Thank you.

kdraggooGreat information, sometimes repetitiveDr. Carter obviously knows what he’s talking about. He goes in-depth with not only the character traits, but the history and why behind them. Each episode is segmented with self-promotion which is fine. Some of the segments are repeated, though. This is probably great for listeners who start at the latest episode and only listen to future episodes. For listeners who go into the history and listen from the beginning, it gets confusing. Ironically, while listening to this to clarify the crazy, I questioned my sanity when the first repeated segment occurred. I knew I had heard part of the episode, yet it showed I hadn’t listened to that episode. Took me a number of days bingeing the series before I figured it out. It would be helpful if the descriptions of each episode included names of the segments and, if a segment is repeated, the corresponding date of its first broadcast.

Twins are funThank youThese podcasts have given great clarity to our understanding of 7 tragic years of working with an employee who was a covert narcissist. He gained an underground following of flying moneys that caused us great personal harm. This podcast continues to bring a depth of understanding of what we encountered and healing from it.
-
HCKinderTeacherDr. C. Is Amazing!Thank you Dr. C.! You have profoundly helped my husband and me navigate a covert narcissistic ex spouse. We are focusing on helping ourselves and the three children - your videos have validated our experiences and given us tools to move forward and create healthy boundaries.
-
Get the bagMy TherapistDr C is the best! God revealed to me about the spirit of narcissism and then miraculously Dr C shows up on my YouTube feed! What a blessing he has been to me! That was about 5 years ago! This has been a journey filled with love and support that causes growth and a better way to live and I can share that with others. Dr C not only explains narcissistic personality but teaches how to become the best version of you!! ❤️ ❤️❤️❤️👏🏽🙏🏽✝️🙏🏽✝️❤️ You are doing God’s Work and I am forever grateful to you Dr C. Thank you to your wife for sharing you with the world!!!

Victorialove0515So incredibly helpful!I feel as though I’ve regained some of my sanity! Being able to spot the cycles and behavior flags has really helped my responses.
-
Annals of ObscurityGood podcast, spotty productionThe content can be a little repetitive once in a while, but overall these episodes are invaluable. I’d suggest two refinements: 1. In interviews, Dr. Carter should interject less of his own experience and perspective. 2. Whoever does the editing should cut the volume on those horrible piano blasts in the transitions. Those come in way too hot and hurt my ears every time.
-
SLO CA NativeInformativeI am learning so much about behavior and personality characteristics and tactics used by a narcissist. Very helpful. A breath of fresh air. I was feeling crazy, gaslighted, and confused. Such good information. Thank you so much! Keep up the good work.
-
NiiiicolaaaaaA podcast about narcissists that walks the walk!Dr. C.’s podcast demonstrates the principles he promotes: diginity, respect, and civility. He respects his listener by using clear, inclusive language. Every narcissist is not a cisgender male. Because my narcissist is female, listening to endless references to narcissists as, “he,” and “him,” makes me feel even more unseen and invisible than I already do! Which is quite a feat! I also feel confident that Dr. C. has plenty of knowledge about and experience with narcissistic people and traits. He brings a healthy dose of humility and vulnerability to his work, which is refreshing. And he seems to appreciate the nuances of living with a narcissist. If you watch his YouTube videos, sometimes his dog will wander into the room or be sleeping nearby, which I really relate positively to, having grown up with dogs in my home. Thank you, Dr. C., for sharing your knowledge and hope for lives filled with dignity, respect, and civility!
-
Zemyna21Really knowledgeableI’ve taken in a lot of his material, both videos and articles, and he has such good things to say. I am grateful for all of his work. Even though I have been studying these types for years, I find something new in every episode, or he says something in a way that puts it in a different perspective. Thank you thank you thank you!!
-
Rebbyreb99If only!If only I would have known what a narcissist is and the way Dr C describes it, a malignant narcissist is what I was involved with for years It’s been 5 years since I cut this person out of my life out of pure exhaustion and anxiety. I look back at what I was allowing in my life and how I was manipulated and how I owed him to bail him out of everything. I even went for counseling because in his words, I was the problem. I strongly urge every person who may have a narcissist i their life, to listen to Dr. C! If I would have known about Dr. C, I would have not spent tens of thousands, tens of thousands of years on someone who was never going to be the person he told me he was

life definedPropped me upI’m inspired to be myself . I’ve been so lost for 24 yrs with the covert narcissist. What I lost is being found everyday with listening to these podcasts. Self help, recovery being my authentic self again. Being gentle with myself while I recover.

Liz11692Great information but…Host is wonderful but saying “ok” interrupts the guest and is distracting.

MSAK684So much knowledge and wisdom hereI have binged this podcast all day and have so very much enjoyed hearing Dr. C speak. He is knowledgeable and kind, and offers so much grace to the listener. I came to this podcast with a great deal of information on narcissism yet learned so much more and gained a greater context of how to view it. Highly recommend giving this is a listen!

Mrs.Sunshine2120TGrateful 🥹In 2020, I discovered I was in a narcissist abusive marriage. It amazes me how I read or hear stories that mirror my lived experiences with y husband. I appreciate your YouTube videos and your podcast. Many don’t “get it” because he isn’t the same publicly as he is privately. This has been the best and worst relationship I’ve ever been in. It’s a mind-bender, for sure. Your videos are helping me truly understand the depths of this disorder.
-
DunnwellHelpful!!This podcast has helped me so much and I’m very thankful for Dr. Carter and his work. I have learned a lot about myself and about my relationships. One thing I’d ask: can you all work on the sound balance during the transitions? I listen to your show in the car and in the middle of your episodes, you transition to an announcement with piano music that is so loud in comparison to the talking that it makes me jump. Last week I nearly got in a car accident because the loud piano music startled me so much. It’s just out of balance. Thanks so much!!
-
1FITRD1FITrdI love your clear messages on how to heal from narcissistic abuse. I found you on youtube and I have learned so much already. The abuse came at the hands of family members & you made me realize that I’m not the problem. I thought I was going crazy. Not anymore.

SattvalaAMAZING and PROFOUNDI just listen to 7/19 “why you need to understand narcissistic injury“ and immediately replayed it! This is the perfect synopsis and explanation for a very ugly run-in we had with my brother-in-law which has haunted me for the past three years. Thank you so much for this valuable information!
-
On Team HealthyGetting the help I was looking forI so appreciate Dr. Carter’s YouTube channel, videos and I’m taking some time out to listen to his podcast. I had no idea what narcissism was. One day Dr. Carters video popped up on my TV and I’ve been watching him every day since. It has been a little over a year since I’ve been working through my healing process and Dr. Carter has been such an inspiration with all the information that he gives. Thank you Dr. Carter for all the work you do and all the people you help
-
atxfitgal#teamhealthyIt’s hard to overstate how much Dr C has helped me over the past couple of years. Both his material and delivery are always reassuring and grounding. There are so many positive things I could say, but I’ll leave it at five stars and my deepest gratitude.
-
Rainydaygirl0127Piano music loud and distracting.I’m a pianist myself and I came here to listen to him speak, not to hear sharp music. Music isn’t even necessary. The background music here is extremely loud and distracting. Very disappointed.
-
Sportsphotogirl13Informative and help information from a covert narcissist abuse survivorI really like this informative podcast. It is validating how I feel and reassuring me that I can overcome the abuse. My only complaint is the loud piano music. His voice is nice and soothing, but when the piano music comes on, it almost hurts my ears.
-
Avakin Life OGThank you DR!I have found the YouTube channel first and now to have found the podcast feels like a secret treasure. It is a treasure of its own to have such a great good willed doctor educate us on narcissism and all provide us tools through YouTube or his podcast. I will definitely be listening to this podcast. Tysm Doc & Gus !
-
monttracA Real Source of UnderstandingCan’t say enough for Dr Carter’s analyses, of the narcissistic personality and those who live on the planet with them. He’s a wonderful resource, with a down-to-earth perspective. Uses examples with dialogue straight from the mouths of narcissists.
-
No Need for a Nicname...Dr. Carter gets it!I’ve been listening to Dr. Carter for years. He offers practical help for those of us trapped in despair. He has a compassionate heart combined with wise insight. Dr. Carter wants us to live peaceful lives filled with dignity, respect, and civility.
