Mindfulness Exercises

Mindfulness Exercises was founded in 2015 by Sean Fargo to make mindfulness and meditation teaching simple enough for anyone to share it with others. Since starting out as a free online resource with a few meditations and worksheets, we have grown into the world’s #1 online mindfulness teacher training platform, reaching over 20 million people through our website and social media channels. Collaborating with the leading mindfulness practitioners and teachers of our time, we aim to make mindfulness and meditation teaching accessible to anyone with the sincerity and compassion to help others during these challenging times. Our VisionWe envision a world where we all support each other in being present with the love and mystery of each unfolding moment. Mindfulness isn't a complex, religious, or esoteric practice — it's simply bringing gentle awareness to our moment-to-moment experience. Everyone has the ability to share this gift with others. Our MissionOur mission is to encourage and support each other in practicing and teaching mindfulness with compassion and joy. No one is mindful 100% of the time. We could all use a little encouragement to be present, to meet this moment with gentle care, and to find the space to respond to life with the wisdom that is already within us. Welcome to the Mindfulness Exercises Podcast. May this be a source of inspiration and motivation for your mindfulness meditation and teachings.Learn more at https://mindfulnessexercises.com/

An absolute gem of a podcast!
I started listening to Mindfulness Exercises when I first learned of Sean Fargo. Right away I was met with episodes that were not only helpful to me as a mindfulness mentor, but touched my heart and soul deeply & on a personal level. I especially adore the meditation for self compassion. It is one that I feel every human should listen to and could gain more peace and understanding of self and others through. That is exactly what the world needs right now. This podcast is an absolute gem and I look forward to hearing more and more thought provoking episodes as time goes on. Deep thanks to Sean, his guests & the Mindfulness Exercises team!

    Love Sean, won’t listen anymore
I love Sean Fargo! I used to love his meditations and the talks on his podcast. Then he changed the music and also added really intrusive commentary from some woman in the middle of the talks and at the beginning and end of the meditations. The music is fine at the beginning, and then becomes loud and annoying, and then downright anxiety producing (for me at least.) So I’m going elsewhere, with regrets.

    Great resource!
I teach mindfulness and meditation, and this podcast is a wonderful way for me to feel connected to the community at large. I am always writing down little tidbits to share with my groups, and am reminded that I am, too, a perpetual student.

    More than I expected!
This podcast is great!! I love that there are both educational resources as well as mindful meditations to follow. It made me rethink my view of mindfulness. Sean is clearly an expert in his field. I was able to tune in to different parts of my body in a way that I have never been able to do before- for example: feeling the sensations around my left ear. It was tough to do at first, but with Sean’s guidance I was able to feel connected to body. I am excited to hear more as future episodes are released.

Some podcasts are great, like this one!
Although I’ve seen Sean around social media and have his set of mindfulness scripts, I only recently started listening to his podcast. I am not typically a podcast kind of gal. Mostly because the topics and shows that interest me have long episodes, and quite frankly, I just don’t have the time. But I’m so glad I tried these because they really hit the spot! There are quite a variety of show lengths, but many are brief and to the point. They do the trick when I have 20 minutes on my lunch break. Or 10 minutes on a walk with the dog. They help me get grounded and allow me to focus on me in such a way that it feels meaningful and efficient and like I’m doing something good for myself. There are a great variety of topics, always something that piques my curiosity. And the delivery method is great. It doesn’t feel formal or stuffy or too metaphysical. It makes you feel like Sean and the others who have episodes are real down to earth people. It makes it relatable. I’m really glad I decided to take a listen and you should too!

A highly engaging and thought-provoking podcast

    Gateway to deeper engagement
I’ve been facilitating group meditation and mindfulness practices since 2016, certified through a few different organizations. I have used many of Sean’s rich meditation scripts as inspiration for my classes over the years, and have recently been enjoying his podcast so much I was motivated to register for his certification as well. I love how well-rounded and expansive the topics are. I see many of my questions and concerns about teaching with integrity reflected in these topics and feel I have grown as a practitioner and facilitator as a direct result of the resources (both paid and complementary) he generously provides. Whether you’re a professional facilitator or a private practitioner you will absolutely find resources to fit your practice, right where you’re at!

    I really enjoy this podcast
I love how many free resources Sean offers to others to help them incorporate mindfulness into their daily routine. I enjoyed the episode about distractions and the strategies that can help me remain more present.

Why I took this into my daily life- student perspective
After listening to the welcome distraction meditation, I really noticed a change in my meditation. I always get distracted while meditation, while this is okay, but it usually turns into a stress provoking things because I cannot seem to focus on specifically what i had sat down to focus on. Then I realized that it is good to take in those distracting thoughts and focus on them, because I think if they keep popping up, maybe I should focus on them and meditate on those things. I also didn’t know much about looking at things when i meditate, until the podcast mentioned views. I now like to go watch the sunset and this is extremely calming and helps me focus. I really appreciate these podcasts, they help me with my daily life!

    Great for Mindfulness Teachers
I’m happy to have found this podcast by Sean Fargo. I’m currently in a mindfulness teacher training program and this podcast helps to deepen my own meditation practice and to further my understanding of mindfulness concepts. The expert interviews add further insight, and I like that the podcasts are full of useful info, but not too lengthy. Keep up the good work!

    Sean voice’s rhythm is calming
Besides his kind ways, words and experience I really like his pace, his rhythm. He pauses and speaks calmly, fresh. I really enjoy his podcasts. His voice is pure peace. I learn a lot from his life as a monk. Love his meditations too.

    Amazing authentic podcast
Sean is an incredible human. I’ve been a student in a few of his mindfulness meditation offerings and he offers such a safe and calming space to be in. Approachable Mindfulness
It has been wonderful to follow Sean these last few years on Mindfulness Exercises but now having him share his wisdom and community through podcasting is golden. Sean is incredibly down to earth and is one of the most relatable teachers in this space. Responding from the Heart
This is a really helpful view on the Imposter Syndrome. To be able to say, "Who am I to NOT help people?" vs. self-doubt. Having the knowledge to help, to get people to get started in mindfulness is a benefit. The secular nature of Mindfulness Meditation can help so many people. This discussion really embodies the process of mindfulness of emotions, acceptance, and self-compassion. I appreciate Sean's honesty and courage in naming his fears.
