CharDVarBest podcast, ever!I've been a lover of orcas for all my life and a proud member of Superpod. My husband and I visited Friday Harbor for this past Superpod meeting, from West Virginia, which is how I first heard of the podcast. I absolutely love to listen each week! I will never get tired of learning about killer whales from all over. Can't wait to come back for a whale watching tour! Keep the podcasts coming!

chandracloudLove the podcast! Once in a lifetime trip!I found the podcast doing research on cetaceans, a life-long interest. I was so impressed with the hosts knowledge of cetaceans in general and specifically of the Salish Sea, I planned a trip to Friday Harbor. We went on a beautiful day in May with Maya’s Legacy and were lucky enough to encounter both humpback whales ‘Big Mama’ and ‘Zig Zag’ and ten transient orcas from three matrilines, T863a, T71b, and T124a including a new baby born in 2024. Captain and host Sara is amazing with her encyclopedic knowledge of cetaceans and skill with the boat - they truly ‘go the distance’ to find wildlife. It was the trip of a lifetime! We are forever fans! Thank you!

LuluClaire3If you’re a whale nerd, look no further!Sara and Jeff are so knowledgeable and entertaining! I love that they mix in recent sightings with the family-history/ context behind each one. They also make a point to hit the hot-takes in the whale world. 10/10 recommend every time!

AtalantaAshWhat a great listen!I love listening to this podcast. It has always been a dream of mine to go whale watching. I’ve been in love with orcas for as long as I can remember. As a kid I was a big fan of the movie free Willy and I remember going to Seaworld a couple times as a kid and just feeling so sad for the orcas and all the other citations there. I love to hear directly from/about everyone involved in doing what we can to protect cetaceans, and I love hearing about all the research into their behavior.

kobestopper“Every episode is different”One of the things I’ve heard Jeff and Sara say many times on the boat is that “every trip is different.” Well, this applies to their excellent podcast as well! I have enjoyed the eclectic mix of guests, topics, species, stories — the only consistent part is the genuine enthusiasm that they always bring. Keep up the great work!

ObibearSo fun and informativeI love this podcast so much and look forward to each new episode! It’s super informative for me as a whale lover in a landlocked state. I hope to be able to go on one of their tours soon- but until then I love hearing the stories of these amazing, beautiful animals!

NTR6126RLove this PodcastThis is such a great idea especially for those of us that can’t be there but want to stay informed on what’s happening with all the distinct whale populations. I’ve had the pleasure of being a guest with both Sara and Jeff on a few epic tours and these discussions bring back all those joyful memories. Can’t wait for the next episode with Monika Weiland Shields. Thank you so much for doing this podcast!
