gary_pythonWhites 100Great pod. Any chance you guys could riff on the route/upcoming non race? Coming from out west so any training beta, logistical considerations and/or insider info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

m. leblancFantastic fkt and new england race scene podHave really enjoyed every episode theyve put out. Really one of the best FKT pods out there, and one that covers the historic New England running/trail scene so well

Vic 1244Great east coast FKT and trail /ultra podcastWill and Xander do a great job with this podcast! Shows how great the east coast/NE trail running scene is and some of the people who make it special. The new FKT round up is great for those who want an all in one info hub for FKT’s in the US. Subscribe and you won’t be disappointed

Ash_loves_hikingPodcast of the YearFKT of the year? More like podcast of the year. Will and Xander’s vocabulary is impeccable, and their humor and banter is unparalleled. A great podcast to learn about cool things that athletes are doing in the mountains.

SophiaLovesCatsI’m new to the scene. This is exactly what I was looking for! Will does such a great job. He is polite and thorough with his questioning. Finding all these cool people to interview about this niche sport scene is exactly what I needed to help keep my motivation high. Since I’m new to running and hiking I have learned so many things from Will and his guests, especially trail jargon. It’s always so nice to find some media that caters to your exact interests and this is it for me! Hearing about these powerhouses achieving their goals is moving and inspiring. Definitely give this pod a listen! Note: the audio quality in the first episodes is low but the content it worth turning up the volume all the way. Thank you Will!

Stillwater RandyThank you Will!Thank You for the work you do. The whole trail FKT & Ultra media scene is so West Coast biased. It's amazing to hear all the conversations of the local/regional places I love most from people approaching them in the way I like to most. I've always wanted to talk (or at least hear from) so many of Will's guests. He also does an incredible job of finding really interesting people I've never heard of doing really rad projects. His is one of my favorite outdoor adventure pods out there! Thanks for the all the work he puts in, despite training and being a medical school student to boot!

Luke SpoonerGreat podcastAnd, oh wait, no reviews to read. Anyway, there’s something I wanted to tell all you listeners in case it wasn’t clear. I, Will Peterson, host of “from the backcountry” podcast, just wanted to say that I think the best United States fkt is the miles knob loop. This is indisputable. The long trail is cool, but the miles knob loop is a true test of all around fitness.

Jacob7sAwesome awesome podcastCame over from sp*tify to leave a written review. Just want to say that I really love what Will does with this podcast. Came across the podcast around the time of Drummond’s 100 consecutive summit podcast came out, since then have worked my way to present day. Really cool to see some names of athletes and people I recognize and am inspired by, as well as hear about new ones. Started using Infinit and am thankful for how well it appears to be working (custom blend lasted longer than my feet did at Last Skier Standing) . Absolutely love the dialogue / energy you establish with Philip Carcia on the podcasts. You both are at or near the top of my list of people I would love to stumble into on trail and learn from. My one question for your next AMA/Q&A is , how many hours do you think Jack Kuenzle could go for at LSS and why hasn’t he done it? (So sorry if he has participated and I wasn’t aware lol) Take care !!!

ocbrady80Swan Song Ski TourI would like to use my obligatory review shoutout from Will to put the idea of someone skiing the Swan Song on the northern presis out into the universe. We need a sweet ski FKT in the Whites and that is the perfect route. (Also subscribe to Talk Verty to Me on YouTube 🤪).

VGinVTTake a dip in the mudPod is great. Have been listening since the beginning. I like how you have knowledgeable people on who put the hard work in. Thanks for sharing your dip in the mud on the LT, the mud always wins. Maybe try some topo pursuits, I prefer them to the Olympus and agree with 2 thumbs down on the speed goats.

603touchFuture MD Rx: Use SparinglyI love to listen to this podcast while out trying to peak bag in the White Mountains but I always run out if listen too much. I am then left with wanting more real talk hard to find. I listened to #14-#16 while on a Hut to Hut and all three helped carry me along in my suffering. Will has a great way of allowing his guests to be themselves but tease out finer points. Allowing people to explain their method, motives, and sometimes madness in pursuing hard things gives me company trying to do the same. I don’t remember how I was introduced to this podcast but I am so glad I was, and look forward to sometimes experiencing the trails and areas spoken about while on them. I can’t wait for “The 48” in summer 2023!

kt bird90Highlighting the Amazing Humans of the NEI very much enjoy tuning in to hear the intimate discussions with the folks busting out incredible physical feats in the northeast. Always a good source of inspiration and a laugh or two during the daily commute. Will’s good natured personality seems to make his guests comfortable and willing to share the more vulnerable parts of their efforts with the listeners.

Tina TreksIf you love running, hiking, or adventuring in the back country this podcast is for you!Fantastic podcast! Will not only brings in some AMAZING athletes, but he brings a great perspective to the table as he, too, has experience with ultras, hiking, FKT’s and overall type 2 fun! Because of that, he’s able to converse fluidly with his guests making the podcast enjoyable to listen to (i.e no awkward pauses or weird questions etc.). Will has an infectious personality that people can connect to easily. The conversations are laid back, light, and fun, but also super educational! I’ve learned so much from Will and all the athletes in this podcast. Bravo!

Em WalkGreat podcastLove this podcast. The host, Will, does a great job asking questions and really brings the trails and routes to life. 10/10 recommend for anyone that enjoys mountain adventures (especially in the Whites) or likes to hear about how others choose to suffer.

JHSTREBORInformative‼️Very interesting and helpful information regarding what food to pack for a hike and the calorie count in foods to support the hiker; packing high calorie foods that boost energy and satisfy needs.

AlexK759Great mountain stuffThe host sounds like a handsome expert on all things New England hiking. Fun listening to the guests banter back and forth. Sounds like you’re in the room with them.
