Mark Halbertson“Thank You” from your fellow humanoid! The easily digestible episodes of the Lost Sci-Fi from Scott is completely enjoyable and perfect for quick dips into other multiverses. Thank you for what you do Scott, and greetings from Colorado Springs!

webpickWonderful Readings of Good StoriesScott Miller has an amazing talent to read stories in a way that makes them easy to visualize. The listener loses awareness of the audible format and is soon immersed in a mental movie.
-
Molasar7Great vintage Science FictionI have been listening for about a year, and I love every single one of the stories I have heard, the narrator is great and brings the characters to life, and the stories from the great masters and many unknowns are great!! So happy I discovered this podcast.

yuli eEnjoyable storiesI happened upon this site by accident and am glad I did. I like the older Sci-Fi a lot more than a lot of the newer stories. A love the voice because it is so relaxing I don’t get distracted by it. I also love the subtle notice of the ads which then do not start blasting at you disrupting you from the story and from relaxing while you listen.

PJ GravesBest SciFi podcast ever! This is far and away my favorite podcast. The story selection is great…so many authors that I have read and loved during my 50 years of sci-fi reading, and also some that are new to me, with great stories! The narrator, Scott, has the best voice, and a wonderful story telling ability. This podcast has become my every night bedtime must-listen!

Mike R (Tucson AZ)Hidden gemPositively a hidden gem. The halcyon era of sci-fi short form fiction, now in public domain. This series includes a lot of b-sides and lesser known authors, mixed in with all-star authors. Narration is on par with professional audiobooks. Great quality and great production. Thanks to the Lost sci-fi podcast for having me actually looking forward to a commute.

RCraigSci-fi at its best! This is the best of the best sci-fi podcasts. I love the stories and the narration and I highly recommend this podcast to anyone who likes science fiction.!
-
Paul BelcherMy new favorite podcastI’m so impressed with this unassuming, yet extremely entertaining podcast. I love the narration, the little facts about each story the host informs the listeners of, and the interesting mix of authors and different sub genres within the overarching sci-fi subject. It’s been fun rediscovering classics and hearing some of the more obscure authors for my first time. Thanks, Scott - I appreciate your hard work and dedication!
-
Phee808In the knowThe perfect narration to a treasure trove of incredible talent. They don’t make them like this anymore but fortunately we can still hear them. The narration is on point and passionate and matches the mood of the stories perfectly.
-
HamlinswOutstanding podcastI am a huge fan of vintage science fiction and Scott Miller does a fantastic job on the narration.

bratface5477What a treat!I’m enjoying every minute!

1mzkVery well doneI enjoy this podcast, both content and presentation. If there were special offers, I did not hear that part. It was a shame there are some jerks out there with idiotic reviews. I do want to point out that 1000 a plate us actually a pretty famous story done in the old radio show. But that was not part of the normal series, so perhaps this is why.

AT 2193Awesome storyCame over because it looks like YouTube took your site down.
-
CamperJonGreat PodcastScott Miller does a great job of selecting and narrating these stories. I love Sci-Fi from the 40's and 50's. Scott does a wonderful job of selecting stories from well know as well as obsure authors. The introductions provide an interesting background of the authors and the stories. These have been a wonderful addition to my morning walks. Thank you.

TooIllOrEaseSuspect reviewsA reviewer described this guy's voice as 'smarmy' — much accurate information in a word. Voice problem aside, he offers free products from his website in exchange for 'honest' 5-star reviews (see 03:45 ep 18), a practice that violates ethics if not platform rules. Then there's the tedious self-promotion beginning each episode (after the ads). An easy deletion, good stories notwithstanding.
-
TealCoffeeMugGreat except for the adsThe recent addition of lots of advertisements is annoying. Seemingly there are some at the beginning, middle and end. I understand the need for money, but it’s still annoying.
-
No Puns AvailableNarrator sounds like a JW preacherIf you like misogyny you’ll like old sci-fi. If you like smarmy old man voice like a 1950s soap commercial, you might like this podcast.
-
AmgreenbeanBradbury’s Halloway characterHalloway is a great character and Scott you have this character down pat. Great job!! Thanks

K9RushBest Old Time SciFiThis is a great show. Love the reader and all of his information and choices in the stories.I just found this a couple months ago and I love it

WillEKYMy favorite podcastI love this selection of vintage science fiction stories. They are always interesting and entertaining and often edifying. Narrator and curator Scott Miller does a good job of balancing his own taste for obscure works with popular demand for stories from bigger name authors. High quality narration from a former television profession. I have been listening to this podcast for months. It is great while waking up and drinking coffee, doing chores, passing the time while I smoke a cigar or relaxing before bed. My goal was to listen to every episode before leaving this well-earned 5 star review but I realized that the backlog is so deep and the pace at which Scott produces new stories is so steady that it will be a longtime before I’m caught up. So I’m leaving this review now to do my small part in attracting more listeners to this excellent podcast. Check it out today. And thanks Scott for keeping the flame tended on these stories.

I ❤️AsimovLost sci-fiWonderful podcast! Best I’v heard!

An unremarkable sinnerAmazing StoriesThe story choice and narration are fantastic. After listening to a lot of more modern science fiction podcasts, these stories remind me why the 30’s-50’s were called the golden age of science fiction.
-
Slacker JakeHookedHooked on the first episode the narration is great i can’t wait to listen to them all
-
nospammers2010Expert curation of the golden ageI've been a fan of sci-fi for decades, and very much appreciate the quality of the golden age writers. What sets this podcast apart is that the curator and narrator has a perfect discerning eye for the really good stuff--by which I mean his tastes match mine... This is a podcast to cherish.
-
CuriousJonTerrific Dose of Sci FiI have been reading this old pulp sci fi for decades. It is a refreshing treat to hear it read by such a skilled storyteller. The more I listen, the more it grows on me. Keep it up. Please.
-
NoIamYourFatherBest Podcast AroundI love this podcast! The narrator does a wonderful job. He is a master of changing his voice just slightly so you can hear each character distinctly and allow yourself to become fully immersed in each and every story. I’ve been listening nearly since the beginning and have loved every minute so far! Keep up the great work!
-
villian75Love the podcastGreat podcast finding so many authors that I had forgotten about or never knew

M CoatsWhat are you waiting for?I found this podcast though my library's app. But while my library app allows for 5 audio book check-outs a month, this podcast has no constraints. The audio is clear, the stories and well read, and the selection is varied enough that I have not heard most of these stories. I am only a recent lister, but I am already 30 episodes in.
-
Gpop joeQualityThis podcast is everything it ought be. Quality stories. Good background information. Most of all excellent dictation. Excellent. I’m enthralled.
-
davidautreyAmazing oportunityTo glimpse back, like a Sci fi time machine. Particularly amazing; the Sci fi from 1700's. Glad I found this show. You are like a pre tv radio, a hit too.
-
DSBoston1Great!Although the original Star Trek is almost considered "vintage" by now, these stories go back even further. Short compelling tales, read perfectly by Scott with no unnecessay bells and whistles. You can of course tell that these were written in a very different time. But, that's part of the educational process, learning about the roots of sci-fi and how it's changed. Thank you Scott.
-
NJ Short Story FanExcellent PodcastThank you for narrating “The First Man on the Moon” - it reminds me of that Twilight Zone episode “I Shot an Arrow into the Air.” However, I think you left out the end of Alfred Coppel’s story. There is an epilogue that explains the presence of the figure as Sargon of the spacefaring Lemurians. Thank for bringing these wonderful stories from the Golden Age of Sci Fi to life. I don’t mind the ads, please keep doing what you are doing.
-
Grog BostonAnnoying ads break story flowI’ve enjoyed the show but the they recently inserted ads into the middle of stories which are jarring and annoying. They interrupt the flow and one’s concentration and enjoyment. It’s a hassle to go your device and fast forward past them. If you must have ads, keep them at the beginning and end. There are too many OTR and podcast shows that are NOT interrupted by ads to make one keep up with this, so PLEASE consider removing ads in the middle of your stories. If not for the ads, you’d get five stars.
-
Jedi1joshGreat podcastI'd like to hear more super short stories. Also is there any chance of doing an episode where you read All you Zombies by Heilein?
-
DERREKwWorthy of the Mindwebs comparison!A friend recommended I check out your show with the huge compliment that it is at times similar to “Mindwebs” only without the background music and occasional help from other voice actors. I LOVE your show. I appreciate the source material used. I’ve come to really appreciate your consistency reading each story. It separates you from many others and gives all your shows a continuity which is rare these days. *I have a recommendation although it’s going to be hard to explain. Mindwebs had a few episodes that involved two people writing letters back and forth to each-other. It made for very memorable episodes. The letters sent are all read forming an entertaining conversational dialogue. It would be really cool to hear what you would do with an episode like this. Keep it up! Two Thumbs up, A+, and 5 Stars from one of your newest fans in Colorado Springs.

Ulysses7788Fantastic podcast bud ads misplacedAnyway to put all the ads at the beginning, or maybe read them in your voice? The volume change and commercial jingles wake me up and pull me out of the spell you cast.
-
OxDocSuch fun! Thanks so much for your respect of the material and quality of your work. I live in a Daoist monastery and enjoy listening while doing work on the land. 🙏☯️💙

Sci-fi-guy2001Lost Sci-Fi PidcastIf Podcasting went away completely I would miss Lost Sci-Fi Podcast more than anything else I have ever listened too. The narration is outstanding and the story selection never fails to impress me. Thank you, thank you. Rich in Texas

TinkerationGolden Age Sci-Fi shorts on audioAnyone who's ever enjoyed a collection of sci-fi short stories published in the Golden Age of science fiction magazines will enjoy this podcast. Some stories are well-known classics, many are not, and are more enjoyable for being fresh discoveries. Like every collection of stories, some are standouts and some are duds, depending on your taste, but Scott Miller's soothing voice makes even the 'bad' stories not a terrible listening experience.
-
the last time i listenedLucky FindI felt lucky to find this. I think I have listened to most science fiction podcast. This is the best. I listen while running and the miles melt away.

RLVaderThe Best Sci-fi podcast to date!I have listened to every sci-fi podcast I can find. This is by far the best and most consistent one I have come across. Great selection of stories and superb narration.

Kaydon TyeA must listen to for sci-fi fans!I found the lost sci-fi podcast shortly after having a conversation about Philip K Dicks with the attendant at the Holter Museum of Art in Helena of Montana and look for more about him. Being a big fan of classic and vintage literature I was pleasantly surprised to find your podcast. I was thrilled to see Philip K Dicks as the pilot episode. I’ve been enjoying the narrator bring to life the story like a old time radio drama. From “The Plagiarist of Rigel IV” to the “The Mind Digger” I hang on to every word to the end. I give the sci-fi podcast five star and say it is a must listen for sci-fi fans.
