From the team that brought you The Splendid Table at APM Studios, The One Recipe is a pod devoted to that one recipe you keep in your back pocket. The one you send to friends, make for your mom, the one you entirely depend on because you know it’s going to work. We’re here to help you build up an arsenal of fast, simple and crowd-pleasing recipes, one episode at a time. Whether you’re cooking in a tiny kitchen and eating for one, or cooking breakfast, lunch, dinner and brunch during a weeklong celebration with your entire family (and the kids), The One Recipe has a dish for every occasion. Host Jesse Sparks, Senior Editor at Eater, talks to some of the biggest names in food, including Sohla and Ham El-Waylly, Khushbu Shah, Eric Kim, Soleil Ho, Kristen Miglore, Pati Jinich, Yotam Ottolenghi, Stephen Satterfield, and… the list goes on. He draws out the sweet, funny and surprising stories behind everything from show-stopping whole roasted fish, Mexican pasta and crispy oven-roasted chicken to quick, soothing and essential dishes like yogurt rice, crispy tofu, Vietnamese sauces, and umami packed vegan and vegetarian entrees. And don’t even get us started on the dessert options, from Chinese baked goods, to chocolate chip cookies, to pastries, pies, cakes and tarts. Any day, any time, any craving, The One Recipe has got something for you. Part of the Vox Media Podcast Network

    Gold Star
This podcast DELIVERS. That’s all you really need to know. It’s interesting enough to binge but also quick and to the point. I have used multiple recipes. Successfully! Easy to go back and reference, too.

Love that Jesse! Great show. Love how he really honors his guest. Recipes come to life with the heart of the chef’s stories being told.

    Informative, Entertaining
Really enjoyable to listen to. Engaging, relatable, informative. Jesse is a great host. Keeps the conversation going, asks relevant questions, allows guests to speak without interrupting. I just wish episodes were longer!

Easy, approachable, and great for new chefs!
What a cool show! I love food and trying new recipes, but if I’m honest, listening to two hours of cooking advice is just not for me. Enter the one recipe! I love the quick, organized nature of the show. Usually under 15 minutes, the show is long enough to get some of the juicy details, but short enough I don’t have to dedicate a portion of my life to listening. An easily accessible podcast focusing on new staples and styles of food that are just incredible! Plus, we get an inside look into the chefs and lives of people making great food. The guacamole episode stuck out to me as a gift, We love guacamole down here in Texas and I love the idea of flipping the script. I’ll use this for our next party for sure. Keep up the great work team! I’m looking forward to more recipes.

    The perfect bite!
This podcast fills a true void in the food podcast world: just enough frill and backstory to connect to the person talking, but mostly, just real cooks talking about the act of cooking itself! The premise of the podcast is perfectly delivered on: I feel like a friend is talking me through their favorite recipe, with all their communicative passion, hunger and excitement. Thank you Jesse for this!

    Just the right length
I love that these segments are around 8 min long, sets a nice cadence, brief highlight in the interviewee and then boom the recipe. Some podcasts that focus on a single recipe but have 45 mins or longer I tend to stop listening, meanders way to much and it’s too much effort to imagine what they are doing as you listen. This is nice, I’ll keep listening, a nice friendly vibe.

    Tofu
The technique is a welcome addition to our flexatarian family - freezing tofu! Who knew 😀

    Slow down please
Please slow down and ask your guests to do the same. It’s a great concept, and try to remove some of the “like “ references
