whatyearisitIt’s fine sometimesI enjoy listening to Nora, but Nathan’s takes are…dated, to say the least. Scoffing at the idea of Jade Thirlwall having a breakthrough solo career because of her age is bad enough - but the endless salivating over Taylor Swift every time she does so much as blink is weird and obsessive. I wish this show was more balanced and lived less in the past.

Vaquera76Charming and enjoyableI’m always pleased when I see new episode. The hosts, Nathan and Nora, have such good chemistry and I could listen to them banter about nearly anything. I’ll also add that, even when there’s something about an artist they don’t particularly like, they are mature and diplomatic about it. I’ve never heard these two get mean-spirited about anyone. I love that. Five stars. I’ll keep coming back.

MaisieForniaLove 💜🫶🏻I love the way Nathan says clown clown clown every time we clown

elh713Nathan creeped me outWhy is this guy SO OBSESSED with Taylor Swift having a baby. He brought it up 5 times, it’s creepy and completely missing the point of who Taylor is.

tierneyb5Back to old formatThis podcast was spectacular when they did what the name suggests — review every single album from an artist. It’s now become just two more random people talking about their bad pop culture and music takes of the week.
-
Birdk92UhhhSometimes fun insight, but jfc you can tell their hands are in the success of pop stars bc they love bending over backwards at double time to defend every single thing they do. The recent Chappell Roan ep was just a huge “ok girl, come one now” for me.
-
ruxmo123098I like this podcastI do! But if there is ever a Taylor Swift fashion tangent again I will give you guys a one star rating. Nora, please. You are already a bit too pretentious as it is.
-
James ObertDoing backbends to defend Chappell roan every weekI genuinely liked the podcast but it feels like payola or clout chasing at this point. I know Nathan works in the industry but i dont want to listen to a podcast we’re someone’s such a kiss up because of the politics of the industry
-
Lala suckssssssAlsoI’m 35 and Gracie’s lyrics are more relatable to me than Taylor.. truly who suggested to you guys that you should start a podcast about music… you’re missing it
-
Alex LamentDidn’t realize I needed thisI like to listen to full albums while working and don’t have anyone to talk to about them. This podcast is fun to listen to. They play a lot of clips of the songs while they are talking about it too which I like. I love Eternal Sunshine and needed someone to talk to about it and enjoyed listening to others talk about it.
-
AqtbenzLike listening to your best friendsI’ve been listening since Nathan and Nora started, and I love their insights into the music industry. They have a great rapport and make me laugh every week. Obviously this is a must listen for Swifties, but also for any pop music fan!
-
jennaaadCan you do Miley Cyrus pleaseeeeeLove this pod! I beg of you to do Miley’s discography
-
SSA38Thoughtful discussion with constant interruptionsSometimes there is insightful and interesting takes on the music, but the two hosts also interrupt and talk over each other a LOT, which is not only extremely irritating, but difficult to hear. Please stop talking over each other, I’m begging!
-
Katiehm91THANK YOU NORAOmg Nora thank you for validating the feeling of terror and fear I experienced when Yours came on 😭 I was in the grocery store living my best life jamming out to an excellent country album when the last song on the album came on and forced me to involuntarily make the most horrified faces at the flour in the baking aisle! THE PINK DRESS noooooo! SHOOT IT INTO THE SUN anyways I love both of you, I love the pod and I feel like I listen to music differently (in a good way haha) because of you both!!! Thanks for putting a smile on my face every week!! 🩷✨
-
Blue stars biggest fan❤️ this content!!!They have such an amazing and diverse taste of music and I can already tell on the first episode I’m listening to (Chappell Roans), that they are going to be my next favorite podcast. I love all the albums they are covering and on this episode talking about Chappell I can tell they respect the artist and their music and are there to tell everyone all of the amazing details. Nathan and Nora thanks for making my next new obsession do a GUTS episode if u haven’t already and when it comes do a Short n’ Sweet episode, and also a Karma (the lost Taylor album) (I’m sorry if I got ur names wrong 🥺) ❤️ you and your amazing podcast
-
carolinehhallOlder episodes are *chefs kiss*I looooove visiting the old episodes about Taylor’s albums but I’ve noticed the newer ones are not nearly as concise or interesting - as if they are trying too hard to come up with a topic. Maybe we only need this pod once a month? I like hearing Nora’s takes but she speaks non stop for about 70% of the episode and it’s too much sometimes.
-
JacquemtorresHit or Miss…Lately MissThe laugh talking from Nora as another reviewer noted gets on my nerves. It is a bit immature…it’s not that funny the stuff she is laughing about constantly. Wish Nathan wouldn’t have backed down on his “hostage situation” statement. I felt the same way!! No shade…it is just too much of the same.
-
Melissa T 1234Nathan is HORRIBLE. Unsubscribe unsubscribe!!’nHas anyone ever told Nathan to shut up. I’m shocked at all the reviews claiming Nora talks too much. She’s the only one who sound be speaking bc he’s a misogynistic dweeb who says nothing of note!!!
-
hnstcnfsnLess Taylor Swift Coverage PLEASEI really appreciate the thoughtful coverage and takes by the hosts but am disappointed how much Taylor Swift coverage there is. One episode to review tortured poets would have been sufficient! I want to hear you talk about other artists! There are already soooooo many Taylor swift dedicated podcasts. We REALLY don’t need continual eras tour updates here. Most of us are over inundated with them on tiktok anyway. The original pitch of this podcast is so great and again I like hearing what the hosts have to say I just wish they would stick to their original thesis and move on. I genuinely believe you’re both better than this!
-
r.a.b..Used to like this showEnjoyed a lot of the old content and have listening to much of the catalogue. Nathan has historically talked over Nora and I hear her these days trying to maintain airtime - newer listeners might perceive this as her steamrolling or interrupting Nathan, but I take it as a natural response. The Eternal Sunshine episode was the final straw for me. Nathan is totally well-meaning and we need champions for pop girlies, but he misses the mark often (recall: his comments on Taylor’s hair) and especially in this episode. I’ll listen when they reset the dynamic or Nora gets a new co-host.

Harper HighGood Insight Into Taylor Swift, as far as Swiftie Podcast goThis show is a lot more accessible than pretty much anything else for people who are uninitiated to Taylor Swift’s catalogue and career. While I disagree with their perspective on music with every fiber of my being (the size of an artist’s audience has almost nothing to do with their quality + I don’t care whether someone is a good businessperson), I still think they’re entertaining and insightful, as far as these kind of corporate music podcasts go.
-
No name SwiftieUsed to love……but agree with some other reviewers that: - The overall quality of commentary has gone downhill. - The rushed TTPD episodes were massively disappointing and superficial. - Nora doesn’t add anything substantive to the conversation, but she also won’t stop talking. I hadn’t noticed this before because Nathan is so thoughtful and interesting, but she no longer lets him get a word in edgewise. The stars I DO give are for Nathan’s industry insights and for thoughtful commentary in the early episodes. And a bonus star for a white forty-something male Swiftie. For that, I hand heart.
-
Chigirl74Nora laugh-talksNora laughs while speaking and cuts Nathan off constantly. It’s headache inducing listening to someone laugh-speaking at a much louder volume than their cohost.
-
frostygalllSometimes it’s just Word SaladI mostly enjoy this podcast, but sometimes it feels like it’s the definition of “you just said a whole lot while also saying nothing at all”. I feel like the points made could be simplified and cut down a looooot and it’d be a much more enjoyable listening experience, but I find myself skipping whole sections.

Saqua609DESPERATELY Lacking in variety …Which is nothing to say for the extreme lack of diversity. I think the reviews are thorough (though maybe overly so - much like some albums that are criticized for being overly long - the episodes could use an editor). The title of the podcast is misleading. “Every Single Album” made me think it was going to feature a much wider range of music and musicians. The episodes about Taylor Swift, Adele, Harry Styles and One Direction take up like 90% of the catalogue. And the number of episodes after they talk about Swift album is that is about her PROMOTING the album is also wild. There are almost always MORE of those episodes than of the album review ep. I see in the description it mentions that they are pop music enthusiasts but they did one episode on Cowboy Carter (which - if anything deserved multiple episodes to unpack? I mean COME ON). Anyway, the CC shows they are willing to use the word “pop” in a looser way. (Though strangely no episode on Renaissance?!). I don’t know I was hoping I found a podcast that would make me think more deeply about the music I love AND maybe show me some albums that are popular but go beyond Swift, Adele, Styles.

clclynncStop the long clips. Why do we need a thirty second clip of a song every time one lyric is mentioned? We know the songs you’re talking about. Like, we do not need to hear the chorus of Flowers just because you mentioned Flowers was on the chart. We all know the song Flowers. The points of reference are redundant and irritating. UPDATE: Nathan, comparing Taylor marching during TSMWEL to her being “on the frontlines of Ukraine” is not the witty commentary you think it is.
-
dollyllama86Red noteHey Nora was talking about the Revenge dress of Lady Di’s and i wanted to point out that lady Di started dating Prince Charles at age 20…and Charles was considerably older than she was…13 years older…

Ayanna8972WHERE IS THE ARIANA ALBUM REVIEWI love this pod but I am so over the constant TTPD episodes. If I wanted pop culture updates I’d just listen to Jam Session. When are you going to review eternal sunshine. I can’t believe you did Maggie Roger’s before it and still haven’t done it. What is the deal. It’s getting tiring at this point and I wish you guys would do less of the mundane Taylor coverage and actually cover albums you said you were going to cover. I have a feeling on next weeks pod, the 22nd it’ll be Billie’s album you cover and STILL NO ETERNAL SUNSHINE. Tomato tomato.
-
Hannah IleneI LOVE THIS PODNathan and Nora…. I feel like we’re friends even though you don’t know that I exist (except maybe you will if you read this)! Nathan and Nora are obviously brilliant, they KNOW music, and their love for it is evident through every episode. I think that my favorite thing about Nora and Nathan is that, while they are honest and do offer critiques, they never dwell in negativity. Their commentary comes from a place of loving music, and loving the artists who make it. Nora and Nathan, I am SO grateful for you both. I re-listen to your episodes about Taylor’s work when I need to feel calmed and comforted, and I have learned so much about other music by listening to you. Thank you!
-
angiecanmagicInteresting Perspectives, repetitive comparisonsFor the most part, i enjoy this podcast and listening to their perspective. Both hosts have unique takes on most of Taylor’s discography and its nice to think about her music from a different perspective. Nathan’s near constant comparison of every song to something else that it sounds like is very tired though.
-
CraftycubThis pod has lost it’s wayWhen this podcast started it was great, but their need to rush out content the moment an album comes out has ruined it. They even mention this in their “review”. If you need more time to process, take more time. Also, their need to defend traditional publications is absurd.
-
KatieC12179Hostage SituationI’d rather burn my whole life down than listen to one more second of all this …. The one salient moment on TTPD mailbag episode was the revelation that, “Thou doth protest too much,” except that this sentiment was followed by continued arm chair quarterbacking protest and criticism while these “fans” were simultaneously shouting, “more!” I felt like I was in a hostage situation, so I turned it off.
-
chaa12Nora, please stop.I think Nora forgot she has a cohost. Girl doesn’t come up for a breath of air from her pedantic droning and barely lets Nathan get a word in edgewise. Used to love this pod until Nora starting talking like the whole world was a bunch of dummies who need to be enlightened by her.
-
allywalshhhhhSo much fun👌 I love getting in on the convos about our girl with Nora and Nathan. This pod is so fun and I laugh whenever Nathan throws in a girl at home cut 😂
-
izzy-bellaGreat podcast!Nora and Nathan are great!! Their dynamic and back and forth not to mention their insight is super interesting. Ignore all the overzealous "Swifities"who are bitter over these guys stating the truth over TTPD. Great thing about opinions: people can have their OWN. Don't like the podcast? Don't listen! Keep up the good work guys, to quote Taylor, these "fans" need to calm down. Cheers!
-
IHateNicknames-Just not what I thoughtWith all the big pop albums coming out, I was excited to hear in depth conversations about them. But then the TTPD episode was kind of off putting. Why are adults dissecting what references are for which boyfriend to like a creepy degree and making some weird in-depth assumptions about a pop stars love life. Then I went back and realized like this whole podcast is just about Taylor? I’m confused, was it always called this? Was it originally just a podcast about Taylor swift? The description doesn’t mention that, I thought they talked about lots of different artists albums. I felt kind of misled 🤷🏼♀️
-
e_hollzLike the content but please edit betterI love the content you’re talking about but please edit it tighter. Sometimes there are SUCH long gaps that I feel like my phone has shut down, it’s jarring and doesn’t flow well!

John Jimenez (data analyst)Love the commentaryI love their critical eye when discussing taylor’s discography. One note is that I feel like they should do more research when reviewing other artist (kacey, ariana, beyonce). The Cowboy Carter commentary was a bit weak and I would appreciate if they either invite someone to discuss the production or underlying themes, or so to do more research to help discuss the intricacies. Lastly, Nathan is very excited to discuss the albums but he often interrupts Nora’s points which can throw off the conversation. Please be cognizant of this.
-
sssteppphTaylor deserves more from youNora please stop cutting Nathan off. I think you both need to sit with Taylor‘s album for a little while longer and come back to this podcast. These takes were insane.
-
Purple pickle 110Really Great Podcast….BUTI love this podcast. This is the first place I turn when I want to fully understand and digest an album. I truly appreciate the insight and opinions presented. BUT…. Please stop the mean girl comments- they are getting old. I am tired of the jokes about how stupid Travis is, or how Joe is a B list actor (Just a few examples). Those types of comments are really unnecessary. Please do better.

One disappointed poetObserving a slow decline in quality/scope :(To Nathan & Nora: I just listened to your latest episode reviewing Taylor’s double album, TTPD, and it compelled me to write my first review of this pod. I’ve been a long-time listener since the first episode of Every Single Album. At the onset, I appreciated the deeper dives into the whole range of what the creation of an album involves, and how that impacts society through artistry. For every artist you’ve covered. But…I must say, your generalized coverage of music has been going steadily downhill. It honestly sounds like you as hosts are trying to continue something that your heart is no longer in—it’s lacking insight and your comments often reduce to cyclical noise. What is the purpose of your discussions if you’re not willing to challenge yourselves and really spend time with the material covered in a meaningful, honest way? Frankly, you haven’t been adding anything of substance for a while. TTPD is a richly layered, lengthy album that is viscerally honest through its emotional scope. It’s the kind of musical work that requires time to absorb. I really feel like you both rushed this latest episode, and as a result, did a disservice to the quality of the writing and to yourselves. Much of the material seems to have soared way above your heads. First impressions are fine, but stretching a surface level glance across a 2-hour plus episode is excruciating to listen to. Take more time to digest this before rushing to judgement—I think you missed a lot of richly poignant points made, that were (ironically) directed to the fan base. What your latest episode did reveal that I found interesting is that TTPD is an album geared more for artists to receive than the general public—you are the most basic audience based on your comments. Maybe this one isn’t meant for you. In any case, you both missed an opportunity to add something engaging and new to the conversation, and it’s extremely disappointing. I hope you can do better moving forward.

MRobbiedelreyStick to TaylorImmediate ick, unfollow, delete when they dumped all over on Kacey Musgraves. Stick to what you know. You’re not a Kacey fan, we don’t want to hear your opinions about her work.
-
mntythpckGreat DiscussionNot Nora cutting all the songs from Poets Department that I actually like 😅
-
flangeslammerNora is an unhinged 18 year old Swiftie lol“the backlash is - i think - grounded in people who want to make a better world” - Nora is apparently a 12 year old about all this. read an article. understand what is actually said, not what is written on a buzzfeed article in 2023. listening to these sanctimonious dweebs crane their necks to avoid speaking intelligently about TS / MH is such a waste of everyones time.
-
j186017Disrespectful :(Put some respect on Kaceys name! Is Taylor the only artist that deserves respect? I feel like they spent nearly the entire episode poking fun, taking cheap shots and literally laughing at her as a person, barely even criticizing her actual music. They made some good points for sure about the music but it is completely overshadowed by the amount of time they spend just laughing at her/who she appears to be. They must have played the bo burnham song at least 3 times while just laughing at her. Would love for you to give the same care and respect you put into every syllable you utter about Taylor to other artists.
-
ColeBritneyWhy am I just finding you?!?Brilliant. Wish I knew about you sooner!! Coming back to my review to add more after listening to the Era’s Tour Movie pod episode! You guys are perfect! The way you bounce off each other is magic. And I can just picture Nathan alone in that theater in Vegas! Best visual ever. I’ve missed you guys! Keep more greatness coming, please!
-
Podcast junkie87LOVE(R)I’m obsessed with this podcast!! I love how insightful Nora and Nathan are. I appreciate all of their thoughts even if I may not agree. I loved love if they now broke down songs for us and not just the albums. I want more history and insight to all of the Taylor songs not just the few discussed from each album. I want more!!!
-
LJ49137Talk to me about Taylor SwiftThis podcast is so good. The two hosts both are really smart and insightful. Nathan’s explanations have given me even more of a deeper appreciation for the technical side of her music. They also talk about the personal things in her life that inspired the music but don't do it in an exploitive way which is refreshing. It's also interesting because they started recording this podcast before Midnights and the Eras tour was announced and there's so much foreshadowing in their earlier episodes. If you are a Swiftie this is a must listen!
-
Buffalonian Eagles fanBest everYou can feel the honest to goodness joy radiating from these hosts the entire time. Knowledge. Credibility. Context. Love it, top to bottom!
