fun guy 32It’s sad…I’ve never been the kind to write a review, the right wing has NEVER been my thing. I’m also straight so there is that. But the way people on the left are now is not who I am with anymore.. there is like literally people on here saying they need a 1-1 ratio of white to poc. It’s sad these people will never know real happiness. Or have a real marriage, of course you could get gay marriages but those aren’t really real… breaks my heart. I hope everyone who sees this gets the help they need and it’s not this indoctrination.

eloise clementinebest podcast everi ❤️ muna. i’m always crying laughing everytime i listen…gayotic heals me
-
munaloverthe best podcast in the worldthe title is a play on their insta bio :) this podcast seriously is so entertaining though. their ad marketing is the only ad marketing i’ll sit through because they find a way to make it so funny and relevant. also, their entire show. it’s harder to listen to a podcast when you can tell the hosts aren’t very connected, but with these 3, everything is natural. it’s the easiest and most fun way to start and end my days with :) love you muna xx

Karikoala:)MUNA and Gayotic are a way of life <33333I started listening to MUNA and later Gayotic not long after the podcast began when I first realized I was gay and was so afraid to even say the words gay or lesbian out loud, like I physically couldn’t say them. I’ve been listening to the podcast for a while and MUNA is why I tried a menstrual cup and I haven’t used anything else since. I think it’s refreshing how openly and honestly you’ve talked on the podcast about the feelings and how unlike your self you can feel on antidepressants because it’s definitely something I relate to. I love listening and it’s a great source of joy and something I look forward to. The ending moment of every episode is like a healing and heartwarming thing to be able to experience with theses people expressing their love for each other and themselves consistently I think it’s beautiful 🤍

RillRillawesome saucesince hearing you all on seek treatment, i’ve become a die hard gayhead. i was wondering if you’d ever do an ep with radical queer music legend beth ditto of gossip? it might be a crazy ask…… unless…?

bmarie100Katie humbled meWas so blessed to see Katie on R*ya, but the next day, an episode of gayotic came out where Katie roasted all the people on that app. Needless to say, we didn’t match. Still love you all though <3

kalie_smilesThey (food poisoning) could never make me hate youAn early January night I was feeling a bit off and couldn't sleep, so I put on my favorite parasocial besties to lul me to sleep like a lullaby. Suddenly you discuss meatballs in such detail and I (a lifelong vegetarian) immediately throw up in my trash can. Turns out I had food poisoning 👍 This will not deter me from listening to every episode. Love you!

AJ💕💁🏾♀️Just drunk enough to reviewHey y’all. First I would like to say thank you to Josette and Katie for making intense eye contact with me at a concert in 2023. It was a little scary at first, but I felt like it was an initiation into lesbianism. Naomi, I know you were making eye contact in spirit. Second, here are a list of really cool people that would be cool to see on a podcast thx: -young miko -elle puckett -jasmin savoy brown -Today in Gay (podcast) -emily engstler -pomme -paige bueckers -sydney colson -karen killgariff /georgia hardstark (mfm podcast) -sovereign sire (ill repute podcast) -ira glass -ezra klein -kay poyer -sandinmypants0 (tiktok) -diana taurasi -sue bird -coach jackie j (tiktok) -megan rapinoe-gianmarco soresi (podcaster,p.s. majored in musicals)-upstairs neighbors (podcast)

earth2yamisoo affirming yall are saving baby lesbians everywherei can’t express how much this podcast means to me !!! i’ve been since i was a freshman in hs (in college now!) but sometimes i forget i am just because of where i live , + have little to no space to be as out as id like to be . i know little to no lesbians irl & esp genderqueer lesbians , knowing yall exist & live the lives you do makes me feel so affirmed . all three of yall remind me that the life id like to live , & the way id like to orient myself is completely possible !

fuqtheamywhotookmynamefrommeincredible to study to #finalsweekinaucsystemI did an 8 page research paper, a 7 page data analysis, and studied for 2 finals all while listening to this podcast (for the most part). the overlapping voices, the extreme speed of conversation, and the often time unintelligible and fast-paced exchange of ideas and its “transition” into completely different and unrelated ideas has legitimately helped me so much to enter focus mode when I’m not in a crowded place. it truly has helped me become so much more productive. THANK YOU!!!!!

zoe-ilesbianYOU ALL ARE SO FUNNY!i first discovered MUNA when they opened for Taylor Swift at the Eras tour in Cincinnati, i immediately loved their energy and their performance was AMAZING!! as an out lesbian who lives in a small suburban town i felt so seen and welcomed by them! after the concert i started listening to their music and then found their podcast! i now listen to different episodes while i’m at work and it really helps me get through the day and helps me keep up a positive energy during my shifts!! keep up the good work! ❤️

ACW11021Another day nurturing my paradoxical relationship with MUNAThis podcast either feels like a calming experience hanging out with friends or it’s like if the inside of my head had a podcast and everyone is chaotic in a way that straddles the line between fun and not fun. But I really came here to say that the lullaby that Katie sang at the end of the Clea Duvall episode is something I go back to when I need to take care of my own little kid. So thank you <3

Ishouldbesleeping25Break up text ahh review sorryFirst of all, I’ve loved MUNA and Gayotic since forever. I’ve been a fan of their music since “Saves the Word” and I’ve been an avid listener of Gayotic from S1! I survived the 2 year Gayotic drought of 2022!! Recently, I’ve fallen out of love for some reason. The podcast is becoming a little too unstructured for me. Topics switch rapidly, people interrupt each other, and there are so many instances where everybody is just talking over each other. I’m trying to understand what everybody’s saying and it gets overwhelming. I’m probably just getting overstimulated…sigh.

Johnny PMUNA 4 LIFELove you guys and love this podcast! So fun as a fan to get a little glimpse into yalls lives and feel a part of a little pod together 😊 I would love for you guys to rank your favorite Sailor Scouts from Sailor Moon! I know super nerdy and niche but would be cute. To make it easier maybe you guys can just choose your favorite out of the 9 Sailor Scouts from Sailor Moon to Sailor Pluto! Or however yall wanna do it is cool XD -Forever a fan, John Polanco

ellakate7the universe works in mysterious waysi have never been so compelled to write a podcast review until this very moment. i was on a walk, listening to gayotic (of course). when i got home, the radio was playing throughout my house. what song was playing on the radio? aftertaste, the hit single by katie gavin. wow. what a beautiful coincidence. thank you, muna.

MehakyyyLove! However….Obviously love Muna, love Gayotic, etc. However, I think Josette, Katie, and Naomi have the chance to absolutely REVOLUTIONIZE the podcast biz by inviting civilians (such as myself) onto the pod for some good, totally regular, normal people chats that could actually be soooo fun and interesting :) if selected for this honor, I would swear an oath to only fan girl a for 5-10 min MAX — pre-taping if necessary — and specifically only about my favorite song, “Winterbreak,” and then we could talk about totalllyyy awesome and normal topics such as lesbianism, oral hygiene habits, AG1 (if necessary), etc. Think about it luvs!!! xx

FIFO fiLove a good Panera BreadframeI had to leave a review as I was listening to gayotic at 5:30 am at my Panera job and quite literally cutting bread bowls as y’all were talking about Panera bread. It was a crazy full circle moment for me. Love the podcast and your music as well!! Both not just one <3

DocPybromain21Please invite Taylor Swift to your podcast2024 edit: I hadn’t listened to this in a while and decided to play where I left off the last time: the chambermaid and the young gentleman. Yeah… iykyk

jessk7These are my peopleI feel so seen by y’all (podcasts are a visual medium)… I’ll be sad when I am caught up on episodes, I’ll have to re-listen from the beginning. Thanks to my ADD, I surely will have retained 0% of the ghaos (gayos?) and it will seem like bonus content.

aabfrvrVapid and meanderingLove the music, hated the podcast. Never heard such grossly uninformed people discuss issues they don’t understand with such confidence and conviction before…

Soccerchic98Organized Crime!!!!The latest episode ‘Born to Party’ was so much fun for me to play along with Katie, Naomi, & Jo. My favorite band and the most random commentary. It’s like I’m in the room with you. I was screaming “Organized Crime” at Katie’s “bad man do bad thing…. Fork knife spoon”

nc154This podcast saves the worldIt’s what I want Very solid I give it 5 shooting stars In all seriousness it’s not as hard to follow them as people say for me. At least after listening to all the episodes. And now I feel like I’m finally able to even distinguish between Jo and Naomi’s voices! P.s. love the music and I found it before the pod ;P
-
maj mikeFive StarsThis show is one of those that come around every so often that when you listen to alone you are laughing like you are in the room but at the same time you want to pause it and make whoever is close to you listen to it with you so that you can bond over it.

99 GecsGood, but*It’s an entertaining show, but I wish they would have more BIPOC guests. It seems that the show (helmed by Headgum, which can also feel pretty white and cishet at times) is slipping into ~homonormativity,~ which has roots in making whiteness and white supremacy (insidious or not, in nature) the default. As an example (not keeping a 1 to 1, down in the weeds score), for every 3-5 white guests, there’s 1 POC guest, who is usually a cis man. Their episode with Trixie Mattel, who discussed getting to a point in her life where she was looking more deeply into what it means to be a passing Indigenous person (and largely escaping discrimination his mom, who has browner skin, was unable to, and the way system oppression works through and ruins small communities in small towns) (vs her previously claiming the label of a ‘boring white gay guy), very interesting and enjoyable. On the flip side, hearing Kathleen Hanna discuss her bisexuality in a derogatory manner, through the lens of her ending up marrying a straight cis man, boring. Hearing Chani Nicholas misgender Fran Tirado on her bloated 2 episode appearances, also boring. Homonormativity has a way of pushing BIPOC and trans people further and further away, whether people who can be the face of cultural moments in time (musicians, ~*influencers*~ etc.) mean to or not. It just gets stale, and is disheartening. Please switch it up! Love hearing about whatever MUNA feels up to sharing with fans in their personal or professional lives, just don’t always ~vibe~ with the company they keep or feel they should amplify, presumably to bump listener numbers¿

Now insta haterBreaking News: MUNA sponsors Atlanta based ultimate frisbee teamHello MUNA! My name is Naomi (omg crazy coincidence) and I am an Ultimate Frisbee player on Emory University’s Gender Expansive and Women’s Ultimate Frisbee team (EGEWU). EGEWU splits into two teams, LUNA and TUNA. Do you see where I’m going with this??? MUNA is our missing piece! (If you don’t get it it’s cause we all rhyme). We LOVE Muna specifically Silk Chiffon. In fact, Silk Chiffon was our team song two years ago, and we have traveled the South East, from Alabama to Tennessee, making sure everyone knows “life’s so fun” and “SILK CHIFFON, that’s how it feels oh when she’s on me” (we scream the silk chiffon part when we sing it). Our goal for the season should probably be to win some games, but instead it is to be recognized by our favorite band ever. Honestly, you’re a big inspiration to us, especially because 64% of our team is fruity in some capacity (we calculated). If you’re willing we would love to make gaystory by being the first D1 Ultimate Frisbee team to receive a coveted MUNA sponsorship. Let’s be clear… this would be a mutually beneficial arrangement. And if for some reason you’re opposed to sponsoring us, we would take a shoutout on the podcast. We love you! With love, EGEWU (@emoryultimate)

py7809illegiblethe perfect thoughtful nonsense pod. my partner and i listened to a backlog of episodes on a long drive and often had to pause to laugh and to have our own side conversations about whatever was said. we were leaving a week-long visit with h******ic family so the pod was cathartic and soul cleansing. it takes us two hours to listen to one episode. great road trip listening for gays with a sense of humor!
-
AlexOhhhIntelligent fruitYa’ll got bops, jokes, AND phenomenal critiques of capitalism- love the pod 😘

fhnbball11The gay agendaThey were playing Stayaway at my shell gas station. This has gone too far.

macs.hGender Affirming KaraokeI’m just over one year on Testosterone and it’s been so healing for me to sing along with Katie in different octaves/harmonies with every new voice drop. It gives me so much euphoria to sing muna songs these days :) And guys, you‘ve GOT to explore baritone vocal harmonies on Winterbreak, it is HAUNTING in the best way. Love y’all!

crowburd1999999996Who Tops WhomLove listening to these famous podcasters but also wanted to give Katie her flowers for being the one shouting from the rooftops “it’s me with a penis”. Me and all my lesbian friends held our own lesbian March Madness - “Who Tops Whom” , formally - and Katie (my pick) made it to the final round. Saddened to let you know Katie lost to Mrs. Incredible, BUT at the end of the day it’s the friends you introduce to Katie Gavin’s top energy along the way that really matter.
-
TaefrogOutdoor cats are high keep mass murderersFirstly, shoutout to these famous podcasters for helping me discover (at the age of 26) that I am not actually straight and am actually pan. The gay agenda at work. But listening to your recent episode about Katie getting Button and the talk about indoor/outdoor cats, I feel it important to announce to the world that outdoor cats are devastating for local bird populations bc (as much as I absolutely love cats) they love to hunt. So shoutout to Katie for getting her cat a harness!

Lizinator123Pls don’t share wellness misinformation!Love yall so much, pod is fun & I’m putting 5 ⭐️ both because of that and so you see it. But the beginning of the recent Moving In Silence episode was jarring to hear! A lot of what yall were saying about the “dangers” of processed fake meats, seed oils, and microwaves is very much based in some of the most unscientific parts of the wellness industry. Human studies have shown seed oils to be safe, microwaves are just another neutral kitchen tool, and “processed” doesn’t mean much on its own - it matters what specific additives or processes have happened. I’m not trying to tell y’all what to do for yourselves, just that you should be more cautious about ideas you promote, especially about food (which can tie in to disordered eating) when you have a young audience that looks up to y’all.

cate196i’m still giving u 5 stars but i have a bone to pickdark chocolate and orange together is amazing and i’m NOT british. fruit flavor with chocolate flavor is literally the backbone of society!!! unfortunately the first time ive this staunchly disagreed with u all but it’s ok because this podcast is awesome❤️ love u all even if ur ice cream opinions are a little whack mwahhhhhhh

Geo’s husbandon my knees begginghey. love the pod. pls bring kelli on gayotic she’s an absolute icon and needs to be on the podcast

Nat 🙂🙂🙂Soothes my brainSomething about listening to Katie, Josette, and Naomi talk over each other all at once soothes my ADHD brain. It just feels like home. I very much enjoy following each of their semi-related streams of consciousness all at the same time, which keeps it intriguing & engaging. In love with all of three of you, xo 🤍

saltyspaceshipMUNA did in fact make me gayI learned about MUNA back in 2016 when my straight cis male friend asked me if I had heard of them and if I personally knew Katie, Naomi, or Jo since I went to USC (note: at the time, I was so deep in the closet I did not know I was there). Sadly, I did not know them, but I fell in love with their EP. Fast forward to season 1 of the pod and Silk Chiffon coming out during my gay crisis (spoiler, I am in fact very queer) but I am forever grateful for Gayotic for showing so many different people and their experiences and paths to queerness; the podcast felt like community before I found my place. Much love to you all. Would love for you to rank each others hairstyles - so many iconic cuts.
