I really enjoyed this series and hope that season 2 is really happening! I appreciated the detail put into the character development both individually as well as their inter personal relationships. Definitely recommend!

Season 1 of The Imperfection sets up a larger mystery than the characters imagined, as the question of “Where is Dr Stadler?” leads to more questions about who they are and what their place in the world is. It’s a riveting show, and passes quickly because of the protagonists Charlie and Amber’s quick wit and funny takes on their own mental illness, which involves hallucinations… or does it? Season 1 is relatively short, and doesn’t have many ads except at the beginning of episodes. I’m hopeful about a season 2, given how this show has won acclaim, but in any event it’s a fun, off beat, and sometimes heartfelt show in itself… plus spiders!

Great acting and clever, snappy dialogue. Fun story and I really hope we get some more. Take a listen. Tell a friend. Make more great audio!

The initial story is fascinating and then turns into something truly epic. I loved the lighthearted sometimes funny moments the characters provide to what could have easily been a really serious story. The acting is perfect and the sound design - so well done! This is a must listen and I can’t wait until season 2!

What a revelatory show! The writing takes advantages of all the limits and possibilities of an audio-based drama, and the cast is exceptional. One of the best shows I’ve heard.

I'm an avid audiobook/drama lover and seem to find myself completely out of material to consume. I've long ago burned through the well known shows and listened to the best ones multiple times, and haven't seen any new titles listed on reddit recommendations. Now the only way I know of to find stuff to listen to is to cross my fingers and blindly sift through the thousands of possible shows and hope to come across a couple hidden gems. This practice can be so disappointing, when the majority of these shows' descriptions sound so promising, but turn out to be total let downs. This show definitely qualifies as a hidden gem. It is funny, well acted, expertly produced and addictively entertaining. I think the first season might be over, but there are already 9 awesome episodes to whet your appetite. I really, really, really how they're planning on coming back with tons more episodes.

Funny and thrilling! This podcast takes the deep dive and asks the burning question “who’s paying for the fish”??!!! The writing is benchmark. Excellent podcast.

I was so engrossed I missed my exit on the highway!

This isn’t a podcast, it’s an audio movie or radio theater. This is a welcome break from so many of the same podcast formats: loose interviews, overproduced magazine style stories, etc. Complete with sound effects and a full cast, the story stats with a focus on a protagonist and others in therapy for hallucinations. Are they real or imagined? As a listener, you can’t be sure…

This story is engaging from the very beginning. A unique approach with a mystery that keeps you guessing. Love it!
