Full disclosure I only listened to one episode, so maybe others are better. I listen to the stop living paycheck to paycheck that was just released in January 2025. Allison seems sweet and well intention. The information is so basic. I can't imagine it being helpful to anyone except someone who's never thought about money or budgeting. It's like AI. Googled tips to save money and so information jack rounded up most generic and overused budgeting "tips" that have been around forever.. earn extra income! Cut spending! No morning lattes! I also felt like I was being read to the entire time like she had the entire script time for g on a paper and was reading off of it instead of having a conversation or talking to me. But maybe that's just a personal podcast style preference. I

I stumbled on the Inspired Budget Podcast by accident and have binged listened to at least a dozen episodes back to back! This podcast is definitely a must listen to!

I just listened to episode #171 and found it very inspiring and wanted to write a quick review. Truth is, I find all of Allison’s podcast encouraging, supportive and informative. Something people don’t mention is the tone and volume of her voice - it’s just right. Easy to listen to, and her action steps keep me from just collecting information, I can often put them into practice right away !

As another listener stated, I grew up with Dave Ramsey, but Allison’s podcast gripped me from the very first episode that I listen to! I have been drowning in debt for many years, working two jobs, and still have very little to show for it! I listen to two of her podcast today, talking about impulse spending, and that is totally me! I have already started going through my email and sending ads to junk mail unsubscribing from emails, and even deleting my TikTok, which is the source of a majority of my impulse spending! I just finished filling out her goodbye debt tracker, and it is one of the most amazing resources I have ever seen! I am excited to get started on my journey to say goodbye to my debt! Thank you, Allison for all that you are doing on your weekly podcast and for the amazing guest speakers that you bring on! You have changed my life! I’ve been a long-time listener of Dave Ramsey, and while his advice is invaluable, I recently discovered this podcast and it’s a breath of fresh air. The budgeting advice is excellent and aligns with Ramsey’s principles but in a more realistic and flexible manner. The information provided is incredibly useful, and I appreciate the less strict approach. I’m thrilled to have found this new show and look forward to learning more from it!

I found Allison when she was a guest on another podcast I listen to (I think it was Clever Girls Know, but I could be wrong), and looked her up because I loved the way she spoke. She is warm, smart, and down-to-earth. I love listening to a host who not only covers a topic I’m passionate about, but is a good speaker— few filler words, palpable excitement, etc. Allison is intelligent without sounding patronizing, and she is a joy to listen to. So far I’ve blazed through a dozen or so episodes, and I will probably continue catching up on her back-catalog between newly released eps. I would also recommend following Inspired Budget on instagram, because she posts often without spamming your feed. Thanks for the great find!

I just started getting into the podcast and I LOVE it!! She doesn’t tell you what you NEED to do because let’s be real, any time someone tells you that you need to do something you end up not doing it. Instead she offers suggestions of how to combat feelings associated with budgeting and spending money so you can take what information you need and start integrating it into your life little by little. Any time I go full force and cut things cold turkey, I ALWAYS relapse in my decisions and go back to what was easy like spending money impulsively.
