    Knowledgable and passionate
The way diet culture is so quick to put misinformation in the world is so frustrating. Marissa gives such a refreshing take on not just how to love my own body, but also gives the science behind it all. I love the way she debunks false claims, but also has such a gentle approach in discussing ways to nourish our bodies. 1000/10 recommend listening if you seek evidence-based ways to overcome binge eating disorder.

    Every episode is a gem!
This podcast was recommended to me by my therapist as I work through a disordered eating program. I can’t praise this show enough—Marissa tackles every angle of the anti-diet/HAES/binge eating recovery realm with engaging guests and incredibly relevant questions. It’s one of the few podcasts I listen to where the host will ask her guest a question that feels like it came directly from my brain: Marissa is really skilled at representing her audience when interviewing guests. There is zero wasted airtime on this podcast and the information and messages it shares are absolutely invaluable. I hope it continues to gain more traction and listeners as time moves on.

A welcoming perspective on nutrition and life
Behind the Binge should be at the top of anyones list who is looking for advice with binge eating, body image positivity, or simply someone looking for a welcoming, open minded view point, from an incredible dietitian who is shaking up a new norm. If you are looking for that next best diet podcasts that’s going to help you burn this or that, and suffer through one restriction to another, just to have some big name in the diet industry tell you it still wasn’t enough… then this is not the podcast for you. However, I’d still like to recommend a listen with an open mind and invite you to a warm, and very much welcomed approach to body positivity and food freedom! (How nice does that sound??) Marissa is a true light in the darkness and an incredibly personable, welcoming, knowledgeable, and gracious host that keeps every episode loaded with new view points, helpful tips, and copious amounts of information to truly breakdown what goes on “behind the binge”. As a registered dietitian with her masters, she has devoted her career to helping others through a very challenging time. Binge eating is something that’s near and dear to Marissa and she is upfront, honest, and delivers the facts about her journey and her mission to help others. I can’t recommend this podcast enough and hope you have a chance to listen in. There is something here for everyone and I would venture to say that it will shed some light on any previous perspectives on binge eating, food freedom, and body positivity. 11/10 - would recommend!

    Incredible Podcast
This podcast has been so eye opening for me. As someone who has just recently been diagnosed with disordered eating, all the subjects are so relatable. The episodes with previous clients have resonated with me and make me realize I’m not the only one going through these feelings and that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I would recommend this podcast to anyone dealing with disordered eating or anyone wanting to learn more about body acceptance at any size and body positivity.
