OliviaKagenSJ & Naomi I LOVE YOU!!My absolute favorite podcast ever. I tell everyone I know to give you a listen! I have a long baby name list, mostly inspired by you two amazing women. I love to laugh with you when I’m driving or just cleaning up around my home, sending all the love in the world to you and your families, thank you for gifting all of us listeners this golden podcast!!!!! - Olivia

Maura202Shared middle namesI love the podcast, but on the latest episode you talk about giving the second daughter the first’s middle name. As someone who shares her middle name with all of my siblings, DON’T DO IT. I wish I had a middle name that was just mine. The second daughter will probably want a name that is all hers.

r_pellow13Great podcastThis is a great podcast! I’m glad you’re back!

b bordersBaby name enthusiastLove listening to SJ & Naomi! They are both so fun and I love all the name suggestions. As someone who spends a silly amount of free time researching baby names, they have shown me so many I’ve never heard of! It’s so fun to see the difference between UK and American styles as well!

gybr24More dilemmas, less everything elseSJ, with the help of Naomi, is brilliant at what she does - solving baby name dilemmas. I am fascinated by her ability to come up with such creative solutions to interesting problems and I enjoy Naomi’s input. My issue - I would love for the podcast to consist of mostly dilemmas; I don’t mind a brief intro at the start of the podcast if it’s related to names, but it seems that it takes longer and longer to get to the dilemmas. And I find the constant giggling to be a bit off-putting; sometimes it’s hard to understand what SJ and Naomi are saying when they start giggling with each other - often over a private joke.

TpellegrinSo Glad I found this! aeiouThanks for making these, and giving us so many wonderful ideas! Here’s my go at the vowels… Girls A- Amoura ( to love) E- Ellory (one who is filled with joy and happiness) I- Isadora ( gift of the goddess Isis) O-Orla (golden princess) U- Uma (light, peace, nation) Boys A- Ace (Unity) E- Esko (helmet of the gods) I- Ira (watchful one) O- Olen (Relic) U- Ulysses (Wrathful) I’m not sure if we’re supposed to enter our dilemmas here or where to submit but I’ll give it a shot here. We’re looking for a unique boy name. We have a five year old daughter named Juniper Lou. We really like the name Django, but are worried it might be too out there and don’t want him to be teased or have trouble getting a job and things like that. What do you think? Pair it with a classic middle name so he could go by that in future if he chooses? Any ideas of similar, whimsical, interesting boy names? We do also love the name Moon (mentioned in some of your YouTube videos) maybe as a middle name. Thanks if you read this! My ig is @tpellegrin or @homecookedkarma Thank you ladies for making this amazing and useful podcast, I’ve been obsessed!

cnv918Reignited my love of names!I absolutely LOVE this podcast! I have loved name since I was a little girl, but have found myself thinking less about them as I’ve gotten older, until this podcast changed that for me. I am not expecting a child but love thinking about names I may use in the future, or even imagining what people with certain names would be like! I also love the banter between SJ and Naomi, when I listen to them I laugh along to their jokes as if I was there worth them! I have put a lot of thought into selecting my A, E, I, O and U names, and they are as follows: A - Aaralyn, Aidan E - Emory, Ethan I - Iris, Ivan O - Olena, Oliver U - Ulyciana, Uriah

SoutheastAKmamaVowel Names - Having a baby girl in March!Girl/Boy A - Amalie (AH-ma-lie)/ Ace E -Evan (girl) / Ephraim I - Isley/Icem (my son’s name, a family name, pronounced Ice - em, nick name Iceman) O - Olympia/Onyx U - Ursa/Union Also, I heard you say Raleigh in this episode. In the US it is pronounced Raw-lee. Love the name, had it on my girl name list actually! We are working on naming our 2nd baby a girl due in March. We have Rivers as our number one thanks to your podcast (it was mentioned as a boy name but we think it works well for a girl), Loren as a middle name for late father-in-law. We are still looking for more options to be sure we have the right pick. We would love to have a consult to help us decide! Thank you for making such an enjoyable show that is a great place to go listen while thinking of baby names. We love your positivity!

Rae ProFound you… Love thisI actually found you on YouTube. I love your videos. I’m from the USA and going through IVF so I’ve been on a baby name kick. I love literary character names. I want something that is existing but a little more unique. Definitely not in the top 100. So excited to continue listening and hearing what names you review here. 💕Rachel

JojoeuphoriaKept my spirits high as a new single momSJ I found your videos 3 months before I gave birth. You helped me name my son Ezra :) I was at the time in a very unhealthy and abusive relationship and then you and Naomi (who makes me laugh and smile so hard too) started this podcast and I had an extra thing to look forward too. Now I am a thriving single mama who listens to your podcasts on my way to Nursing school Monday morning. Thank you so much for bringing joy into my life and for making me feel less alone about my name obsessions. I have a quite the list. Now the only question is: Whats Ezras future sibling name?

SaraStrickySo much fun!I found SJ’s YouTube and later this podcast when searching for names for my daughter. But I have continued to listen long after we finalized her name several months ago because these ladies are funny, lively, and so useful in helping me identify my naming style and add to my list of names for future babies (if we are so blessed). I am super picky (as is my husband), so we need all the help we can get. I look forward to the new episodes and have gone back to re-listen to past ones as well. Such a fun listen! P.S. I also love voting on names on the Instagram page!

Emily HarbridgeIn love with a show and that has effected my name listHi. First off, I love your YouTube channel and pod. I’m a 13 year old and in 8th grade and I am a baby name lover. My parents and most of my friends think that me being obsessed with my hobby of thinking of names is crap and not important. My favorite show is “Anne with an E” on Netflix (a remake of the story of Anne of green gables) and I am in love with some of the names from that show. I love those old names that have sharp sounds or soft. The names I love are Gilbert, Anne, and Diana. The names that I like but think that they are either to popular or are to unique for my preference are Shirley, Rachel, Josie, and Ruby, and Marilla. It would be great if I could get some other name options for any of those names, but preferably the ones that I like but think their to popular. Thanks for helping me. Some names I also like that aren’t from the show are Eloise, Ambrose, and Kila (Kylah). Any other options thanks.

funkymonkey3245You don’t even have to care about baby namesThis podcast is so funny, it always has me laughing out loud. I love hearing all the baby names and SJ’s deep dives into name meanings, but the chemistry between these two sisters is what keeps me clicking on new episodes immediately!! Love these two ❤️
-
C.HermsRelaxing ListeningI don’t have kids yet and am not currently pregnant, but I like the fun of thinking about potential names for my future kids, plus I just find names interesting! It’s a light-hearted and fun pod, which sometimes is exactly what I need. SJ does a great job explaining her reasoning on how she came up with names a couple might like, which has helped me figure out what exactly I like about my favorite names also. By the way, for my fellow name fanatics, my married name is Cora Decorah.

molly:/ObsessedI’m in high school but I’ve always been obsessed with names! A lot of my friends aren’t too interested in names the way I am atleast. When I found SJ’s YouTube channel I found a whole community of people who are total nerds for baby names the way I am! I could listen to this podcast for hours so excited for season 2 keep it up! :)

Halle21Opposite tasteHello SJ & Naomi! Huge fan! I’ve been following your YouTube channel for years now! Anyways, here is my “dilemma” My husband (Robert) and I (Halle) have been trying to conceive for our first baby since november, and we have always been opposite on names. I’ve had a name list on my phone since I was 12. He likes more traditional/biblical names and I like names that are slightly more out there. He is insistent on our first born son being named Gabriel Beniah. I hate the first name in general, but especially hate the nickname Gabe. Are there any names that you think I could sell him on instead of Gabriel? For reference my top boy names are Forest, Rosco and Casper (all of which he does not like). He also likes the names Cade, Titus, and Justus (all biblical)

laraloydFavorite podcast by far!I look forward to this podcast every single week! It’s definitely my favorite listen. The banter between SJ and Naomi reminds me of my sister and it feels like I’m chatting with a friend. I will be so bummed when this season is over! More baby name envy please!!
