Short, effective hypnosis sessions to improve your mental health and well-being, designed to give you a boost, some relief from stress or anxiety, and help you if you’re struggling to cope.Each episode is just long enough for you to take time out to listen to it whenever you want and wherever you are, without disturbing your routine. After the short introduction you can then just close your eyes, relax, and have a mini-break from the stress around you.Ursula James has been a clinical and medical hypnotherapist and hypnotherapy trainer for 30 years. She is a Patron of Anxiety UK, the National Centre for Domestic Violence and is a Visiting Teaching Fellow at Oxford University Medical School. In 2007 she had her own UK TV series on Channel 5 on how to improve your relationships.JULY 2024 - PLEASE NOTE:After a recent bout of COVID, Ursula has decided to take a break from recording new HypnoSOS episodes for a few months. In the meantime, we will be repeating popular older episodes which we hope you will find beneficial.

    These 15 minute, ad-free, hypnosis sessions are doable even in the middle of your work day. They span a wide range of general subjects, common blocks, and ate very helpful. Please share these with others, Ursula James has managed to keep them ad-free this whole time for best results. If she is forced to cave in to ads to keep the algorithm alive, I hope she can just place them at the end. Keep up the great work, Ursula, your efforts are greatly appreciated.

    I’ve been needing something to help me with different aspects of my life. I have recently added this into my morning routine and I feel better going into my day already. I love the varied content which means no matter what I’m needing a boost with, I likely can find a session. I’ve been doing 2 sessions each morning and I look forward to being guided to which ones to listen to when I get up. She has a calming voice that is perfect for hypnosis. I’ve heard some that are distracting but not hers. Thank you for providing this to help us live healthier lives 😊

    Exceptional podcast
    Most other hypnosis podcasts come across as amateurish. Ursula James’ HypnoSOS, by contrast, is clear, relatable and effective. I recommend it to people all the time. “Be Lucky” is a particular favorite of mine. I am always thrilled when a new episode posts.

    I find these recordings extremely helpful. What astonishes me about Ursula James’ hypnosis podcasts and recordings is how the guidance is pared down to the essentials so that the topic can speak to a broad group of individuals, even though our individual, specific experiences vary widely. Clearly a lot of thought goes into these. Really wonderful, and I’m very grateful. I’d love a topic on walking past one’s pesky inner critic. :-)

    The best for relaxation and sleep
    I’m so glad I discovered these recordings! I love the ones for relaxation and for sleep. #58 Best Relaxation Ever really lives up to its name. I do it anytime that I’m feeling stressed or overwhelmed or just off. I would love a version of #58 that is a little bit longer, maybe 20 minutes. I love the way I feel at the end, and would like to stay in it a little bit longer before being taken out of the hypnosis.
