You'reabadideaBest Welcome to Nursing SchoolI could NOT have found Kristen and Maddie at a better time. Beginning my own nursing journey is coming with trials and bouts of imposter syndrome, but these two superheroes help to set my mind at ease. Their genuine demeanor make me feel like I’m chit chatting with girlfriends while being educated, and intrigued by all things nursing. Thank you for the wonderful environment and continuous encouragement that you bring to the field💖

hmlapag007Returning to School as a MomHi! You all are lovely! I have a BA in Psych. I’m a military spouse and momma of a 2yr old. My hubby is deploying this fall for a year. I just got accepted to a paid CNA training program and I’m starting my pre-reqs for nursing school 2023, in august! I hope to work/do school/mom life as gracefully and healthfully as I can and these podcasts have been so enlightening and encouraging! THANK YOU Heather

casiku09Thank you!I graduated a year ago and went straight into home health for some reason and have missed bedside and woke up every day wondering if I made a mistake and was missing out on my skills and furthering my education. I definitely learned a lot working in home health, tons of wound care, relationships, miles on my car, and charting to Medicare standards but I’m ready for more. I just accepted a night shift job on a med surg ICU and I am excited but oh so nervous and listening to the experiences and tips and do this not that, take this chance, mistakes, wisdom, etc has helped me relax so much about it and I can’t wait to start and to learn more and more!! I feel like I can already relate to so much from past experiences and other nurses stories too! Keep them coming!

NatatvaYou are so important to new nurses!Thank you for shedding light on real life on nursing for the newest nurses out there! I find that your conversations and interviews give nurses an idea on how life is in the early years of nursing. Nurses need to know the real world of nursing and need to know that they are not alone.

CNA HopefulExcellent content! Consider breaking down the acronyms more.First off, I find this an excellent podcasts and I am a weekly listener. The hosts pick relevant topics, and have a raw energy that keeps the listener excited, engaged, and interested. For me, it is building my courage to make a big career change AND educate me on the field so I can hit the treadmill running! There are two things I think could be opportunities to improve (which I love this podcast, I recommend it to others, and want to see it continue to be successful! The first is the hosts need to be more mindful they aren’t talking over one another. I love the raw energy in the conversations, and allowing each other to finish their ideas will help the listener follow the conversation better without distraction. The second would be, as the audience of this podcast is geared towards newbies (me), it would be valuable to break down the acronyms and jargon a little more. For example, in the episode discussing the top 5 items the hosts couldn’t work without, a reference is made to a “3 part” (?) stethoscope. I think this could be a valuable tip, and would be an excellent educational opportunity to educate the audience on what that means. When the hosts discussed the different personality types per department, a lot of jargon is used, but as a new nursing student I don’t yet know what the difference between a “floor nurse”, and “charge nurse”, and several of the acronyms used. I’m optimist that once I’m in the field more it will feel more like second nature, but for now it can be difficult to follow without that background.

Spriggsmama✨10/10✨Y’all, this podcast is amazing!! Maddi and Kristen are so real, and talk about everything from general life to specific advice and topics regarding nursing! I am hopefully going to start my program this year and when I want to listen to a nursing podcast, this is one of my go-tos! The one they just put out about living in the moment and not being consumed by where you want to be next, an absolute slap in the face (in a good way 😂)! It was exactly what I had needed the other day. Kristen and Maddi, keep it going!! 💜💜
