Señor TrotskyWoT and friendsI’m going to miss this awesome podcast when they do the last book. The hosts are amazing and clearly they are friends having a good time and it’s great being able to hear the conversation. Thank you both for sharing the podcast with us. It’s been a great experience.

GrrrlgoyleIt’s better togetherI really like this podcast. I was looking for an alternative to reading the whole series. I’m 3 books in and it’s great having the hosts excitedly sharing their likes & dislikes of the books, chapter by chapter. It’s like hanging out w/friends. I also appreciate the discussions of writing craft. I’m watching the tv show but the talking about writing techniques means I will also be reading at least the 1st book. Try it out!

Klapa100A great companionI’ve been listening in for a while, and on my third re-read. Love the books and the TV show! Sometimes I feel like they are being too hard on the author and show writers, but ultimately the appreciation of the lore comes through. And while I disagree with Preeti and Jen 40% of the time, their opinions help me appreciate the characters or story writing and world building more. So thanks! You’ve expanded my understanding and appreciate of folklore. Though I wish you’d hate things less and have more of a gray scale of dislike instead. Please keep going!

Maenad19Smart and fun!Like me, these ladies go back and forth between adoring RJ’s work and being repulsed by the constant character assassination and sexism lurking around every wonderfully written moment. Keep it up y’all, this may be a toxic relationship but boy am I addicted to it! Thanks for all your wonderful literary insight and fun commentary.

cruggsLight! This is good.Like a lot of people, I started reading the series after seeing the first season of the show. At first I was way behind in my reading, but the books are so good I’m now about 3 books ahead… oops! Even so, I look forward to every episode with Jenn & Preeti - they pick up on things I miss and give me a better understanding of the Jordan universe as a first time reader. I also appreciate the commentary on some of the more… problematic themes in the books. Now if only they would quit their jobs and do this full-time so I could have more episodes!

MacrinaMMReading with friends! This podcast is like the Wheel of Time book club it would be impossible for me to rope my friends into.

Heron78Bust with laughter, amirite?I love this podcast! It reminds of the moments I enjoyed from the books and reminds me why I will never read them again. Jenn and Preeti are hilarious and it’s so fun to experience the Wheel of Time with them.

rowatreeincredibleThis podcast is curing my depression, clearing my skin, watering my crops, feeding me like a llama with abundant grain… I love how the hosts dive deep into the characters and aren’t afraid to criticize the story even as they love it!

vinrhcxkkExcellentReminds me, in the very best way, of reading the WOTFAQ 1990s website in middle school computer lab.

PunkHalo13For The books, great. For constructive discussions on the show, pass.Great pod about the books but super critical about the show. Nothing against constructive criticism but they are super nit picky and seem prejudiced against it at the get go. On Episode 5 of WOT show, it literally says on the screen “one month later” and both hosts spend the rest of the pod complaining about the show not explaining how much time has gone by the time when the gang reaches Tar Valon. It’s absolutely fine if one doesn’t like the show, but pick valid issues to be critical about. They say overall they liked/love the episode but you can’t tell by this.

Old Man MunkisTwo wonderful tour guides of the Third AgeSo. You’ve seen the trailers and the posters. The show is right around the corner and you’re feeling excited and/or curious. Maybe you don’t know what this Wheel of Time business is all about. Or it’s been years (decades?) since you dabbed your toe into the ocean of books. Now is the time to pick up that copy of the Eye of the World and start the adventure. Robert Jordan’s epic story is a blast, but you know what makes it better? Having Preeti & Jenn along with you as you travel through the world of Aes Sedai and trollocs. They read through the books along with you and it’s like having a couple friends to share the adventure with. You get to hear things you may have missed, or things that maybe could’ve gone better, but through the giggles the true love for this series shines through. And despite them not responding as I comment into my earbuds, I still get giddy when the new podcast drops on Wednesday. I couldn’t recommend it higher for old fans of the series or those who’d like to get started.

mttotPerfectI want to re-read the series but don’t have enough time in my life to do that! Luckily I found this. Not only do I get to remember the story, but I’m also learning a lot about reading and writing in general!

GraelihnAn In-depth blast of fun!I’m going through my first read of The Wheel of Time and I’m so glad I found this podcast! The hosts share really thoughtful and humorous commentary on the story and make me want to read even faster. It’s like reading with friends!

CountingKatGiggles + Lit Analysis + AcoountabilityFull disclosure: I did not encounter WOT until my 20s and wasn’t that into it. That said: my quarantine pod was like “let’s read along with this podcast” and I went along. It has been SO MUCH fun to have a little reading assignment every couple of weeks and look forward to smart people talking about it and being frank about where the content is problematic even as they fan out about the characters. If you have friends into WOT, dive into this with them! The hosts are diligent about specific spoilers, so you could def enjoy this as a first read through guide as well!
