Lily H RN :)Definitely Upping My Nursing GameThank you so much for this podcast! It’s amazing! I get so excited listening to all the knowledge and experience that is shared between you and your medical professional of the week. I am an LPN, and I just passed my NCLEX RN! Thanks to you, I feel much more eager and prepared going into my first year as an RN - especially with patient education! Keep it up! I’ll be listening! Xoxo

cmsmitiWhat every nurse needsWhile working home health, I am constantly on the go and in my car. This podcast helps me refresh my key nursing concepts and improve the quality of care that I give to my patients.

Kiddie NursePancreatitis episodeDisturbing to hear nurses laughing while discussing a serious topic. What did they funny about vomiting? If presenting this podcast as education, they should do better preparation. Embarrassing to hear that they weren’t sure whether the pancreas “secretes” or “excretes” insulin. (Answer: secretes).

csrithaiSuch a great podcast!I found this podcast as I was searching for refresher resources. I am returning to nursing after being a SAHM for a bit. I love listening to this podcast! Annie’s interview style is fantastic. She does such a great job of moving through basic to complex all in one episode. I feel like it refreshes me on things I knew and teaches me things I didn’t. I really enjoy the “ah-ha” moments. I also appreciate listening to healthcare workers from different backgrounds talk respectfully to each other in order to improve both of their practices. I think this podcast would be great for nursing student to seasoned nurses.

Maria,RNCollaborative, informative and engagingI don’t usually write reviews but I felt like this podcast deserved one. As an RN in the field, it’s really refreshing to listen to another health care professional that is not afraid to ask questions and outwardly piece together information for the listeners to thoroughly comprehend; it’s like listening to my inner dialogue and I love it. I’ve been pegged the nurse that “asks too many silly questions” at times, but I’m inquisitive because I want to have a better understanding of the topic so that I can better care for my patients, and this is what that podcast provides. Love love love how authentic and informative it is, highly recommend for anyone in health care looking to expand and refresh their knowledge on a variety of topics.

Monika FischerInteresting, informative, and engaging!I’m not at all a medical professional, but I’ve gotten totally hooked on this podcast. Always interesting to hear experts in their field nerd out about something they’re passionate about - and Annie’s interview style makes it accessible for a broad audience (while still weaving in more technical language that’s easy for the lay-person to gloss over). The things I’ve learned from this podcast have made for great party conversation (i.e. episodes on ketamine or cannabis), some episodes have even influenced my own behavior (i.e. wounds heal faster/better if they are kept moist!), and last, but not least, this podcast really serves to humanize all medical professionals in the very best way.

dforestwToo SlowThe few episodes I’ve attempted to listen to have been very slow to get into the meat of the discussion. It’s a lot of small medical talk/shooting the breeze for the first 5-10 minutes and honestly not what I am looking for in these kinds of podcasts (and if you’re a nurse looking to refine your practice I doubt you have a personality that has the patience to tolerate that much fluff). Hopefully in future episodes they will cut the baloney and dig into the topic more quickly in shorter 20-30 minute episodes.

GuemesThe BEST Nursing PodcastThis is the only nursing podcast I could find that actually helps nurses at the bedside. It’s not about nursing burnout, how to take care of yourself, etc. Those are important podcasts, but they dont offer actionable tasks and knowledge for the bedside. This podcast will give you tools to practice safely. Please NEVER stop producing these podcasts. They provide useful information that we use everyday. Nursing theory is great, but it doesn’t always translate to what I use for patient care everyday.

JopecanThe best nursing podcast out thereEvery show is a smart, directed, accessible conversation with someone you work with in the hospital that you never have the time to talk to, ask questions of, or gain knowledge from. It’s brilliant. So informative. So useful. I’m 3 years into med-surg nursing and have found this podcast to be a huge asset to my understanding of the everyday problems I encounter but haven’t fully grasped the “whys” of.

ashley_mckenzieGreat nursing podcast! This is such a good podcast to touch up on a lot of nursing skills and critical thinking. I have loved listening to it.

eed1234Lives up to the titleI definitely feel like I am a better nurse for listening to this podcast. It is just what I needed!

SwellecatJust what I am looking for!I really enjoy this podcast and have already learned a lot. I appreciate that this nursing podcast actually talks about clinical subjects, vs other nursing podcasts out there. I feel myself becoming a "better hospital citizen" already. Thank you!

skushRNThank you!!! This is the best!I am so glad I found this podcast! It has been so helpful and addresses real life problems and situations in a clear, practical, thorough, not overwhelming way. The dialogue between a nurse and their perspective and a doctor and their perspective was one I always wished I could have time for so this is so helpful. I look forward to more of the same!

ShColGreat topics and I love the depthSometimes I find myself listening to podcasts for physicians because I’m looking for nuts and bolts medical podcasts, but then I find myself in the weeds because those are geared for providers. I love that this podcast is built for nurses, but aims to go into more depth on specific topics. I love that a variety of medical professionals are interviewed because it’s so helpful to look through the lens of a different specialty. My only teeny tiny critique would be to get new theme music. I really do not enjoy the current start to the show. But truly, such a valuable podcast and I look forward to future episodes!
