What an episode with Dr. Courtney!.
I was training to be a ‘transformational’ (similar to holtropic) breathwork guide for a few years that started during Covid. My teacher hadn’t even taken a course on the physiology of breathwork until last February. She wasn’t open to hearing about the other techniques I was learning about. Dr. Courtney hit every mistake she made. This podcast was transformational 💚

    Helping my sleep!
I became interested in breathing techniques after reading James Nestor’s Breath. Found this Podcast and have been fascinated by the interviews. Historically I’ve been a mouth breather / snorer at night, even diagnosed with Sleep Apnea after a sleep study. I’ve tried mouth taping for years and it never worked for me, as I’d always take it off in the middle of the night. After learning about MyoTape from this PodCast, I’m 3 nights in where I’ve breathed through my nose all night. Today I FINALLY woke up feeling refreshed.

    Don’t interview quacks
Ted Belfort is not an actual orthodontist. You should do your due diligence before you interview someone and give them a title that is actually incorrect. Basically this is like a general surgeon who does a few heart surgeries calling himself a cardiac surgeon but never went to the actual accredited specialty residency with proper academic and hands-on training. This is a big no-no in our profession. He has taken some certifications that are not from an accredited Orthodontics program to call himself an actual orthodontic specialist. Listeners beware….

    Great Podcast
I’ve been doing breathwork for a year now with WHM, SOMA, holotropic, and other modalities. This podcast helps provide a great balance between the science and spirituality of breathing.
