The Pursuit of Outdoor Clues

Nature #246

Bestselling author and Natural Navigator Tristan Gooley invites listeners to join him as he explores the outdoors in search of nature’s own signposts.

Tristan set up his natural navigation school in 2008 and is the author of the award-winning and international bestselling books, The Natural Navigator (2010), The Walker’s Guide to Outdoor Clues & Signs (2014), How to Read Water(2016) and Wild Signs and Star Paths (2018), some of the world’s only books covering natural navigation.

In this new podcast series Tristan explores the English countryside searching for clues, both familiar and totally new, and reveals just how much we can learn from our surroundings if we just know what to look for.

    Delightful!
Tristan’s insight and perspective of the natural world is just delightful. It’s helpful if you have a working knowledge of tree species to keep up, but every podcast and chapter of his books reveals a clue to the deep connections within nature. Just great!

    Refreshing, educational and fun
Tristan’s insightful way of explaining his small journeys are a pleasure to listen to. So much knowledge to be gleaned in such a short period of time. You can hear the passion in his voice as he explains what he is seeing. The podcast is refreshing as you walk along with Tristan, he’s not simply sitting and talking. He’s moving through the woods, the background noises and his description clearly paints a wonderful picture. You feel like you are right there with him. I hope he makes many more episodes!!
