    Topic suggestion
Really enjoying the podcast! I’ve been listening to old episodes and listening to discussions about the Klamath area before dam removal became imminent has been interesting. I’d love to hear from biologists in the area now that dam removal is coming up soon. A series of before and after podcasts would be really interesting!

    Cut ODFW Budget
How much tax money goes into this podcast? Looks like this dept has excess cash. Get out of the entertainment business and do your jobs.

Learned so much - great podcast
I’ve been living in Oregon for the past few years and found this podcast recently — I’ve learned so much about the agency and wildlife biology through this podcast. I’d love to hear a podcast that goes into river otter/bobcat trapping/hunting and the population dynamics in Oregon regarding those species!

    Required podcast for all Oregonians
Having lived in oregon my whole life I have dreamed for easy access to much of this information. I have a lot more respect for the folks over at odfw and hope that they continue to keep sharing wonderful information with the public.

    Coyotes
I would be interested in listening to a podcast on coyotes regarding biology, management and hunting. I’m a fan of the podcast. Keep up the good work.

    Trapping in Oregon
I have learned a lot from this podcast. Maybe you have already done one but I can’t seem to find it if you have. I would love to hear a podcast on trapping in Oregon, it is a major part of the reason the west was opened and has a major role in Oregon’s history.

    Yay ungulates!
I love anything hoof & horn/antler and sometimes it’s hard to find wildlife content that has great discussion on ungulates! Of course the other topics are fabulous as well!

    CWD episode
Talks about humans eating each other and testing on animals like monkeys in labs.. really depressing.

    Best Oregon-Based Podcast, Hands Down
This is easily one of my favorite podcasts, hands down. I don't really hunt and I only fish occasionally, but it's always fascinating to learn more about the Oregon's diverse wildlife and ecosystems. I only wish I could find that theme music on Spotify!

    Really good
Stumbled up on this a few weeks ago. Just about every one of the half dozen or so ones I’ve listened to were fascinating and informative. Also they are very well produced with excellent audio.

    Oregon, Odfw, Oh yeah!!
This is a great podcast. If you want to learn why the Oregon outdoors is so amazing, or if you’re just Oregon curious, Tim (and the crew) do such a great job of digging into the topic while keeping it light and easy to digest. You can feel confident that as you dive into the deep end of a subject, you’re being led by capable hands. Tim, please consider interviewing Maddy Sheehan. She is the author of Fishing in Oregon, the complete Oregon fishing guide. This book is on its 12th edition and has been THE fish and stream guide for decades. It covers virtually every lake , stream and bay managed by ODFW. Maddy is an Oregon treasure that would be a great addition to the pod. Keep up the great work!!

    Love most every episode
While I’m mostly a big game person who calls both Oregon and Alaska home; I rarely find a subject on this pod cast I want to skip over even if not my main interest. Very well done and enjoyed by me a great deal.

    Peeling back the curtain!
Tim Akimoff does a great job exploring the nooks and crannies and getting behind the scenes and inner workings of Oregon’s Department of Fish and Wildlife. Keep it coming!

    Very Enjoyable Listen
I've come to really enjoy this podcast and it spurred me to seek out other states for similar offerings. Very informative and interesting Thx

Oregon field guide for your ears
Love the deep dives into our fish and wildlife in the region. The episode about the high mountain lakes in the cascades is a must-listen. The fact that ODFW still stocks cutthroat and brookies in some of the most remote lakes in the state assures me that our fishing and hunting license money does awesome things. Thanks Tim for another killer podcast!

    Great Podcast
I especially enjoyed the recent podcast on redband trout and I like hearing from the biologists. A podcast about bandtail pigeon history, lifecycle and hunting opportunities would be awesome.
  • oregonfisherman
    Other Fishing opportunities
Would love episodes on surf perch and another on bull trout. Love the extra “nerdy” episodes
  • Hoyt2828
    General season deer hunting
Would love to hear a podcast on why Oregon is allowing hunters to harvest spike deer for general season. If you’ve already covered it sorry but think it’s a vary important topic that I have not heard a lot about.

    Suggestion for a future episode
It would probably be very educational for everyone to talk about how odfw gets their funding. I hear a lot of talk about how money goes to the general fund and not to wildlife so maybe break it down for us where our dollars go and how the different agencies involving wildlife management and enforcement get their funding?
  • AKBnPDX
Informational show! A little nerdy, little in the weeds! Great listens!
This show often gets over my head pretty quickly, but I enjoy listening to in-depth conversations about Oregon wildlife, ODFW policy
  • Crusatyr
    LOVE IT!!!!
Really informative podcast! Would love to hear more about topics that may be controversial (wild vs hatchery salmon/steelhead, broodstock programs, wolf deprivation, elk hoof disease, salmon habitat, cougar hunting with dogs, doubs breasted commerants, sea lion removal, gill netting on the columbia, columbia basin endorsement, barbless hooks...)
  • RMaag
    Fantastic
I love this podcast. Tim is engaging, thoughtful, and funny. The guest speakers have all been wonderfully informative. As a fishery technology student working towards a career in ODFW, this podcast has been a fantastic resource during quarantine. I’m finding myself using what I learn from this podcast in daily conversations with people. Keep up the great work!

For any Oregon local and beyond
This podcast is cheerful and engaging with great information regarding wildlife and habitat conservation. It’s the perfect podcast to educate anyone who loves the outdoors and wildlife, it will open your eyes to the great work of Oregon’s best program as well as discovering a few hidden tips for the learning Hunter/ angler. Can’t wait for more, I’m addicted.

    Great Podcast
Tim does an excellent job relaying information and keeping up to date on things happening in Oregon’s fish and wildlife. Love the diversity of conversations here and best of all it’s not to long!
  • Get it on!
    Interesting and well done
A really great podcast for anyone interest in wildlife in the Pacific Northwest. Does some really deep dives into biology, management and sometimes sociology and economics.
  • Zebo57
    Great science based podcast
Would love to see a biology series on all game animals especially mule deer and elk!
  • Killing Ernest
    State agency with a podcast
Color me surprised to see a state agency start a podcast. I like the interview format. Do more on mule deer declines, but keep the information coming. It’s helpful.
  • Raldo73
