Tip of the iceberg - Maui fire
First time listener - disappointed. Maui was a failure in preparedness, land management, ignoring warning signs (which you elaborated), and preventive measures that should be implemented on a regular basis (the knowledge base is there; it’s not being used ) I’ll listen to a few more episodes in the hope that your presentation is more even handed,

    Whales Ep
Great episode as usual. I may be the ONE who got the Burrow calf joke. #ItWasWorthIt keep up the great work of shining a light on the science and solutions!

    Nice
As someone who obsesses on their personal choices based on how they impact the environment on a daily basis, this was a somewhat refreshing podcast to listen to. Really appreciate the humor mixed in with the niche topics like soy and rubber, and the worldviews of the guests. My only thing would be a better “now what?” toward the end of the episodes. Gloom and doom nihilism about our environment can be hard to push past

    Was very disappointed…
How are environmental issues bipartisan? Not sure why that is advertised on the website. Overall did not find this to be very funny or entertaining. Information was interesting at times. Think the podcast would benefit from some tweaks and a voice more suited for podcasts. This is a far cry from Bill Nye.

This is even great for old guys like me
Sweaty Penguin has not only provided me with great information on the environment, it also wins the war against my ADHD by being interesting, fun, and just the right length. I have learned quite a lot about topics which I had never really considered.
  • Politically Unafilliated
    Politically Neutral, Informative and Entertaining
In a world where every issue has been politicized, I was thrilled to come across a podcast about climate issues that informs and entertains from the middle.

The Perfect Cross of Comedy & Literally Everything Else
The Sweaty Penguin will absolutely enchant you! It’s the kind of podcast that gets you *into* podcasts in general. It’s the perfect mix of comedy, information, and organization. So much of environmental media/literature unintentionally turns into overwhelming jargon-vortexes. The opening monologues of The Sweaty Penguin stand out by giving you a solid understanding of all the key parts, packaged neatly into a hilarious, witty narrative. It’s like taking a niche little knowledge pill while listening to stand-up. And they cover so many topics: from vanilla beans to Yosemite to ADHD to fast fashion! You will never be bored doing the dishes or driving again. Bottom line: go listen to this podcast because these goofy geniuses will trick you into learning while you’re laughing.

I look forward to it weekly!
This is a very high quality podcast. I enjoy each episode and laugh a lot while still learning about important environmental themes. What I love most is that the Sweaty Penguin discusses unique topics that you won’t hear about elsewhere and invites top-notch experts to provide their input!
