Keen on Yoga Podcast

10

Adam Keen hosts the Keen On Yoga Podcast where he engages in a deep level of discussion with Ashtanga yoga teachers as well as others involved in inquiry, wellness, diet, or simply people he finds interesting. The podcast is nonformulaic; there is no pre-list of questions, and the guests are encouraged into an open-ended chat in order to really get a feel for them and their approach to their subject. The emphasis is always on depth, with actual topics of discussion prioritised over the life-story or more familiar, surface-level questions we are used to hearing. To this end, the conversations are often quite honest and surprising. Approaching quickly towards one-hundred episodes, the keen on yoga podcast was started at the beginning of the first lockdown of 2021. We have now released one episode a week for the las year and are as enthusiastic as ever to bring you a wide range of voices to inspire and support your greater journey with yoga.If you enjoy the podcast and would like to support us you can do so by liking, sharing, rating and donating at https://keenonyoga.com/donate/

    Yoga Awesomeness
Adam Keen brings a much needed perspective on modern yoga, and he brings a personal narrative and vulnerability that is wonderfully refreshing.

I enjoy all of Adam’s podcasts. His guests are great and I really like his solo podcasts as well.

A gem for those who love yoga!
I am a beginner in yoga practice and I am enjoying the mix of perspectives and the kind and open quality of Adam’s interviews.

    Disappointing
I was excited to find this podcast and listened to his interview with David Swenson. I was amazed and disappointed at the pettyness of some of the questions and the interviewers desire to talk over and more than his guest. It was very strange and awkward. For example Swenson describes his relationship with Pattabi Jois and the interviewer seemed only interested in the fact that Swenson did not get a certificate from Jois. …? This practice is so much deeper and more meaningful than a pierce of paper, good in Swenson for answering that way. I don’t think I will come back for more, unfortunately.

    Great guests, hard to listen
I commend the concept and guest roster, but unfortunately I had to stop listening bc of how often the host is talking over guests and the audible aspirated inhales that are distracting (maybe will improve w practice and time :).

    Ok podcast
The guests on the podcast share a lot of great insights and wisdom. However, the audio quality of the podcast is pretty bad tbh. Additionally, the host should really shop interrupting the guests!!!

Good variety of subjects which are interesting but he needs to stop cutting them off and interrupting them!! It gets annoying that he interjects while they are speaking - even after he JUST asked them a question.
